      Nah, tons of people have viewed Lebron as a point guard over the years and at times there’s a legitimate argument for it. These discussions become more and more problematic though in the modern era where position makes basketball is more common.

      @@TheHeadincharge You can call LeBron whatever you want. He's not a better point guard than Magic Johnson.
      Also, yes it will be problematic, which is why most compare Bron to other forwards. By Max's logic, Jokic will be on this list someday too.

    I don't understand why people discredit Jason Kidd so much. He has a championship and people act like he doesn't have one like Stockton or CP3. He won it in 2011. He wasn't in his prime but he was still a fantastic player and he was without question a top 3 player in that Mavs team in 2011, and you could argue he was more critical for their success than Jason Terry. I mean he not only led the team in assists but he was also number 1 in total assists in the whole playoffs. His scoring definitely wasn't great by all means but his play-making was phenomenal in that run they had.

    • @bizil100
      @bizil100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well said! I think J Kidd's mark quite frankly is having the BEST FLOOR GAME of all time among PG's. By that, I'm talking combing passing, defense, and rebounding as a package! He combines those elements BETTER than any PG ever! From there, he's a highlight machine type of passer, a top 4 all time in triple doubles, can defend three positions at a great level, and can still get you 15-18 PPG. And when he won a ring with the Mavs, he was VERY VITAL to that team. Averaged 8.2 dimes during the regular season, still had effective defense, and was the ultimate leader. You could play him and Jason Terry together at times because Kidd could defend SG's.

    Isiah (back to back championships, beat Magic, Bird, MJ in the playoffs)
    That 5th spot is between Stockton, Nash, Kidd, CP3, Walt Frazier. I consider Jerry West a SG

    I'm a bit confused, is Steph not an Off-ball guard? He usually plays off the ball doesn't he? i.e. he is not a full-time point guard. I agree with Jimmy Wang's post (below), a "Playmaker" is not a "Point Guard".
