    I had this for two years on my lower legs, the itch was insane, I noticed that sunshine and warm water would cause a stinging sensation and the itch would be worse at night when my legs were warm under the donna and that a hot shower would sting, my shower head is on a hose so I make the water as hot as I can bare on normal skin then hose my legs and feet it stings like crazy for five to ten seconds but then the itch totally stops, I think the heat kills the bacteria and promotes your immune system to repair the skin, do this every two to three days and in a month your skin will be as good as new, it worked for me anyway, its just something I figured out on my own.

    I feel like another good tip is detoxification. I have went through so much bad flare-ups/inflammations, feeling like i would never get better. But detoxing the body is what helped to ease the itch and heal the inside and the outside of my body. I still have eczema and psoriasis, but it's slowly healing. I recommend detoxification which is basically cleansing..so vegetable juice, water and mostly eating raw foods. I'm telling you, this is a strong testimony for me to share to those who are suffering with eczema/psoriasis. It makes a huge difference. As for the products that i apply unto my skin are just natural creams or oils. Coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter or comfry cream (natural homemade cream) are some very helpful skin products. Let's keep our hopes up!

    • @FightingEczema

      Agreed! What are your thoughts on fasting? Some people believe fasting is a great way to “detox” and I’ve seen it work for a lot of us eczema sufferers.

    • @alyssaramos8206
      @alyssaramos8206 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @FightingEczema Yes, fasting is indeed a good way of getting better. I have done it many times while doing detoxification and the result of it is miraculous. The only problem is temptation and poor self-control. When I feed myself with sweets, overdoing it and getting addicted to it. That's when my eczema comes back, worsening and having to go through the itching cycle all over again.

    • @FightingEczema
      @FightingEczema  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @alyssaramos8206 Even though I am 99% healed, consuming too much sugar is one of the things that may trigger a flare up and cause my eczema to come back!

    By far the best thing to reduce my itchiness has been organic coconut oil. Shea butter did nothing and maybe made it more itchy. I use the coconut oil and now I rarely have to use a topical steroid. My skin has almost gone
    back to normal.

    • @FightingEczema

      I would find a naturopathic doctor or other healthcare professional in your area that can order microbiome testing. I believe there are also online test kits that you can order to test your skin at home yourself. However, I wouldn’t focus solely on your skin microbiome. Also look into your gut microbiome, hormone health, immune system health, etc as those could also be contributing factors. Good luck with the TSW journey! 12k daily that’s awesome! I love running too, got a couple 10k races coming up in a couple months but that’s nothing compared to your daily habits haha. I truly think that people with skin issues should be exercising everyday. Did sweating from your runs irritate your skin at all?

      It's a real catch 22. I find the more I run the healthier I am on every level( to a point) I also play piano 4-6 hours daily ( concert level) so the moving rubbing parts often apply hear as well.

    Unless you only mistakenly included TSW in your title, you lost me at saying how "ANNOYING" you knew itching was. TORMENTING or TORTUROUS work better for me, and especially concerning TSW,. Take TSW out of the title, and 10/10 great video, sensible tips for not only healthy skin but good health in general. For some they may prove to be lifestyle changes for avoiding eczema flare ups., even when-as is likely for most-they are impossible to keep up 100% of the time-making flares inevitable. But they remain important to bear in mind, nevertheless. However, for the ongoing torture of TSW itch, interrupting days, weeks, months and even years of sleep, with an endless horizon of misery the only prospect, these tips are utterly useless beyond encouraging sufferers to maintain good healthy living habits despite the misery they are enduring. TSW is NOT the same diagnosis as eczema. It is a totally different disease. It is a withdrawal from drugs syndrome, not an auto-immune condition somewhat correlating to diet, exercise, sleep etc. These tips will do next to nothing to prevent or help to alleviate the endless waves of bone deep itching that comes with TSW, let alone STOPPING it. Anyone who has experienced it would understand that. In fact, when suffering the worst of TSW itch, tips exactly like these come across as patronising, and belittling of the pain and devastation the condition inflicts. Suggesting otherwise is basically as useful as your introductory joke advice "don't scratch". Here's my tip to enjoy a life avoiding TRULY PATHOLOGICALLY CONSEQUENTIAL itch, not just ANNOYING itch, which is a part of everyone's life, and of course, the lives particularly of eczema prone people. My advice is DON'T USE STEROIDS ON YOUR SKIN EVER, FOR ANYTHING, UNDER ANY BUT THE MOST EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES.. Follow that advice and you will never have to experience what TSW itch is, and trust me, that is something you will be ever grateful for.

    • @FightingEczema
      @FightingEczema  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Totally agree! The thing is, some of these tips may help to reduce the itch in some people with TSW. Maybe not a lot of itch reduction but any little improvement makes a difference when the itch is that bad. There is also a huge range of severity when it comes to TSW. Maybe these tips won’t help if you are in the most severe stages of TSW but maybe some people are a couple years in and just need some slight itch reduction to get them through the day. Hope you understand! 😊

      It’s hard for me to recommend one over the other without doing a full intake! If you find you are itchy more at night, I would suggest trying to optimize your sleep first.
