That's what I ordered and getting it Monday. It's more reliable than the more expensive SSD expansion drives. WD and Seagate have some of the highest failure rates. Plus WD will not respond to replacement if they fail in months. People should look at reviews on Amazon and tech sites. A lot of people will be upset when you hear about WD failing in a couple of months and Seagate firecuda. No way I am going through that again spent a lot of money on Western Digital and it failed in barely a year. WD wanted to charged me a a ton of money to recover data.

      @@thedarksideoftheforce6658 I have been using the Sn850 since January (1 x 1TB w/heatsink; and 1x 1TB w/o heatsink) and Zero issueswith increasing speed reads.
The built in heatsink runs a touch hotter than if buying your own. But i have had absolutely no issues..we have also had a friend with a bad drive and the replacement took place within a week when talking to WD.
Yes there are cheaper SSD's, but assuming everyone will have problems with no customer help (when talking WD) seems like a salty comment.

I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere down below already but I just want to share my experience that didn't come up at all in Ryan's video. BOTH the top screw and bottom screw with the spacers were WAAAAAY to tight. Be aware of this when you go about the process because you can EASILY strip these cheap screws while fighting them. I'm not exagerating either. I'm a strong 30 yr old man that could not for the life of me get these screws out conventionally. I had to use a size 8 needle nose plier with a vice grip just to get them loose. I don't know if its a system to system case or what with these screws but mine were beyond unreasonably tight. Just dont strip your screw heads guys.

@@eddi3401 I have loads installed but they're almost all PS4 so they're on the same external drive I had plugged into my Pro. It doesn't take much longer than grabbing a drink or scrolling social media to move a PS5 game onto the internal storage before playing either so it doesn't really seem like something I'll need any time soon. You can after all only play one game at once.

@@mydogeatspuke how do you even manage all your games you have installed? Lol I usually uninstall a game when I beat it and I know I won’t play it again and if I do decide to play it again, I just re download it again

GREAT video. I'm NOT tech savy at all and did it with this video in minutes !! the WD-Black WITH heatsink was $250 so i decided to buy it without Heatsink for $160 and bought a Heatsink for $10 on Amazon. its easy AF & well worth it. i have 16 games ready to play with 700GB's STILL free between Console & SSD

For people who buy Samsung 980 Plus before install into your PS5, you should update firmware to latest version (it will let Read speed from ~5500 MB/s to ~6500 MB/s) by using Samsung Magician (must install SSD into pc).
