Viking Saddlebag Install Honda Rebel 500

- Show you the steps I took installing a set of Viking hard saddlebags to my wife's 2018 Honda CMX 500 Rebel. Note: you need to buy 4 extra 8x1.25x70mm bolts. The ones that come in the kit are wrong. Also, buy some extra fender washers. Drilling is involved, but with average skill, you should be able to do this. The Viking site has step by step generic videos. This video shows you how to do it specifically for a Honda Rebel. Also note, if you end up with extra holes, fill the with silicone seal to keep out water.

Good video. Glad you addressed some of the instruction/parts problems. My 750 Shadow kit came with instructions for different hardware than what was included. I love the bags but the instructions are awful. And another thing, some of the instructions are in Chinglish. Why is that, for an American company?
Do I know if that would fit on the 1100 Rebel?

Her bike does not have passenger pegs, so I don't know.

It is a gel pad. My wife says it helps keep her butt more comfortable.

It's a gel pad. The stock seat leaves a lot to be desired.

The mounting brackets are included with the Viking bags. If memory serves me, I had to buy longer bolts, but I'm sure I mentioned that in the video.
