- Enochian Magic is the much mythologized Angelic magic of John Dee and Edward Kelley. This video is a brief survey of the system including its history, a short look at some of its internal structure and some examples of how to use the system yourself to talk to angels.

Hi there!
I'm interested in the right pronunciation of the enochian language.
For instances, an American wizard will pronounce each enochian word with obvious American accent, meanwhile a Russian wizard will do it with a clear Russian accent, and the same will befall with french, Greek, Italian or German wizards.
Thus, my question and concern is, whether or not is a proper and correct pronunciation on Enochian language.

Hey this is a great question! Because all we have of the enochian language is what was recorded by John Dee in his records, we don't actually have any notion of the "correct" pronunciation. Some linguists have offered some ideas of how the language might be pronounced based on the middle english which is what Dee would have spoken. But perhaps the most "orthodox" pronunciation would be the more modern Golden Dawn pronunciations. You can search for "aleister crowley enochian call" to hear a recording that might be fairly accurate to the Golden Dawn's preferred pronunciations
Ultimately, because no one knows the true pronunciations, I just sort of go with what sounds right to my own ear. I personally don't believe that the pronunciation is actually the important part of the rituals. Simply trying your best should suffice, but understanding what you are saying will help as well.
Anyway- try your best to pronounce it how you think sounds right. I find that the more "natural" I can make it feel, the more effectively it seems to put me in a trance.

I saw this writing, I was reading it out loud repeating it 3 e 1 L over and over and I woke up saying 3e1L and seeing it in my mind. I looked up the symbols and their meaning and the word sounds but I cannot make sense of this. Can you help me? Is it a someones name? Is it a word I need to focus on? @shannontannehill8209 usually when wisdom is transmitted to us in dreams the conscious mind actually does not need to comprehend it. Even though you feel you do not understand the message- just trust that your unconscious mind has taken the knowledge it needs to know. Maybe years from now it will make sense- maybe not. Don't worry about it.

Bro!! I didn't think we would simply breeze right over that!!! but fair enough, this isn't about their lives, but wow, now I need to read more of their lives.
The blood. I got a sudden blood nose during an Enochian scrying session in 2020. During the same session I was taping it and I got one of the best EVPs I've ever heard. Everyone who has heard it has freaked out. My wife and others also saw shadow ppl in the main house not long after. The voice is louder than mine on tape yet I didn't hear it.
It does seem pretty potent. I was surprised by the blood as well so that's so funny you also had a similar experience. I would definitely like to attempt a group scrying session sometime! Thanks for sharing your experience!

In the enochian book they say that you need a special ring 💍 when conjuring the enochian angels because of there intense magick

I’ve seen shadow people and my partner said he was surrounded by them. I asked him to send them love and they disappeared. They seem harmless for the most part and averse to affection if you ever want them gone. The one I saw just emanated sorrow and loneliness. I felt a lot of compassion for it and it disappeared but it was huge. Like a giant.
I am not sure one could say that Enochian magic has its main purpose as visions or mundane results.
John Dee wrote, in different ways, that the Angelic, Celestial, Adamical Speech is rear right to left.
It is only the transliterations that are not.
In working the Call of the Thirty Aethyrs, two techniques that I have found helpful is to state the names of the Governors after are/chis, to have the sigils separate in a triangle, and to sing Yad (Enochian for Is With All) 19 times (its number value) to the count of 6 each.
I would say that magic is more likely to help mental health than hurt it.

It's math all the way down! In fact Pythagoras himself was an initiate and a magician. Mathematics has almost always lived alongside magic and practices like the kaballah are deeply mathematic in nature. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment!

Do a video using the Zodiacal and planetary tablets of enochian magic, it will be the perfect sequel to this video ,just explaining the process! You don't do the LBRP and LBRH after doing enochian magic or you do the ritual and that's it ?
I will definitely do a follow up in the near future- I am currently working on a tarot video but I will revisit enochian once I've gotten a bit more experience in. I have some feelings about banishing in general - I'd like to do a video just on banishing rituals. I personally do lbrp and lbrh before any working like this- but I only usually do a brief closing where I bid the spirits to depart and clap my hands twice. It works for me unless I feel like something is sticking around then I would use the pentagram and hexagram banishing again. Nothing wrong with banishing at the end tho!

Not bad! Though I wish you had gone beyond just Lon's book on how to actually use the system. There are pretty good resources today that explore what Dee and Kelley recorded at the time, and how they would have likely used that original system, if they did, rather than the later GD and later-still Thelemic recensions. You might enjoy "The Essential Enochian Grimoire" and "The Angelical Language Vols. I and II" in this regard. ;)
Also worth checking out (if a bit dated now) are "The Complete Enochian Dictionary" (mainly for its introduction), "The Enochian Magick of Dr. John Dee" (which is basically a copy of Dee's personal grimoire), and (though I have disagreements with the author's personal theories, his history is sound) "Enochian Magick for Beginners."
Thank you for this insightful comment! I will add these books to my reading list. Most of this channel is a way for me to synthesize ideas as I work through Crowley's curriculum which is why there is a strong thelemic influence on my sources, however this Enochian video has been quite popular and there have been many requests to dig deeper into this topic so I appreciate the leads on some more good research material.
Currently reading Enochian Magick for beginners and yes, the history is great but a little tainted by his Christian views

The tables look like technology... it's really interesting
The stylized truncated pyramid tables are modern creations and not as dictated by the angels. They are cool. I've seen golden dawn/crowley double cube altars with the tablets on the faces.
For us as ceremonial magicians, magic is technology.

Thank you- And that's an interesting question ! I am certainly not an expert in this topic and I haven't really done much working of the system myself so keep that in mind. Working with magical objects or spirits or gods can be like building a relationship. Relationships take time, consistency, and trust to grow and deepen. I also think it's important to have balance and to understand that each one of these "angels" is but a small part of the whole. So I would start with the parts of yourself that need growth and then start to build relationships with the entities that can teach you in those areas you are lacking. You can see my previous video on invocation for more info on this too. Remember that each angel is not an ends but a step on the path! Good luck!

Well the only working I did was to finish the video so this video is the results! I am currently working on a video about hypersigils but I hope to do another enochian video in the new year. I'm glad you enjoyed!
I'm just learning about this. Is this stuff safe? I'm not gonna run out and start trying to do it, but can I sustain some kind of irreversible damage/effects or anything from this stuff?
If you are a beginner I wouldn't start with enochian magic really because it is pretty complicated- I think it might be a little frustrating for a beginner. A lot of magical practices if done incorrectly could induce symptoms similar to psychosis but it's pretty unlikely a novice would be able to do any real lasting damage to themselves. But we've all heard plenty of stories of knocked over candles causing fires and other similar events. If you do plan on trying any sort of ceremonial magic I would start by learning a simple banishing ritual and doing that before and after all experiments. Good luck and have fun and never leave an unattended candle !

@@vitogriffin8902 Hey dude, feel free to completely ignore this, but my advice would just be to start. Like, we can waste years reading about the theory of this stuff, but ultimately only make progress when we start actually doing the meditations and trying out different calls or rituals or whatever. I think what Finch said could easily be overlooked, but is super important, a lot of these practices basically just amount to daydreaming. I'm not saying that to bash it, just to highlight that yeah, there's really no need to be afraid, especially when dealing with angelic beings. I also think it's great that he said to try and keep things simple; intention is the key, the rest is mostly fluff.

It's a very accessible book, but I find all of enochian magic quite dense. I hope you had good luck with the book though!

How does interacting with the angels work? Do you speak out loud to them and then you hear their response in your head? Very curious on how all of this works
Historically speaking, Edward Kelly used a 'shew stone' which is a dark, reflective stone to communicate with the angels. Presumably, Kelly was the only one able to hear the angels and would tell Dee what they were saying. I also believe you could adapt this system to attempt a fully embodied "evocation" of an angel wherein an apparition appears before you, or you could try a fully internal experience where you interact with the angel entirely in your mental vision. Working with non-human entities is a very rich subject and many magicians all have very complex and different opinions on how to go about it. I am currently working through the works of Frater Acher on this topic (which he refers to cthonic sorcery or goetia) and I will certainly be doing a more depthful dive into the topic in the future!
If you want to try the easiest (in my opinion) method, I would simply speak aloud to the angels and then sit in silent meditation- paying attention to any thoughts or images that may arise in your mind. Notice if your thinking is any different than a normal meditative session. Make sure to write down anything interesting that happens or that you think of!
I'd check my spellings of the governor's if I were you. TAOGLA should be TAAOGBA. I spotted the missing letter first as all governor names are seven letters. You mentioned this yourself.

@Desmond kether this video demonstrates the recitation of an invocation of a particular angel. If you wanted to use a crystal ball to scry you would do what is shown in this video before gazing into the ball. So this video shows what could be the central part of a full enochian ceremony.

Your spelling is very different than mine, I put letter E after every consoant and pronouce letter "Z" as "ZOD". For example, I would spell ACZINOR as ACEZODENORE.
Of course, we cant know how Dee and Kelly pronouced it.
That certainly makes things easier to pronounce! I have seen that style of writing it before- not sure where it comes from originally. Maybe Aaron Leicht's book?
