    One of the best and appropriate lighthearted tutorials on sigils i came along so far. You are casual but also really clear. Great approach.
    One might ad (and you hinted it) that the drawing of the sigil is empowered if you identify with the process as capturing the wanted qualities in an aesthetically pleasing process. Like you attract and pour the idea of that aim into a pleasing vessel.
    You also offered a relaxed approach to the "charging" or "firing/sending" of the sigil.
    The "charging" part also can be do as you please.
    As you mention looking at the sign with an "empty mind" to get the sign unhindered into your subconscious is key.
    I would like to add more ways of doing it as one might be unsure of appropriate ways.
    It also can be staring at it after holding breath until you can't anymore.
    Or as you said Masturbation.
    Holding pee.
    Or while defacating (no joke).
    Being exhausted by sports.
    Open eyes after meditation with closed eyes.
    Staring at it for 5-10 minutes straight (doesn't matter if you can not hold focus all the time or vision blurs).
    Or as you say use a sticky note or a little object or whatever that you forget it exists.
    It even can be fear and pain (but the associate negative feelings might be putting off).
    You also did not mention drugs from alcohol to whatever as the main part is to circumvent the critical gatekeeping semiconscious mind/feelings towards the intended goal.
    There is no doing it right or wrong actually. But if the sign pleases your eye it is a good thing.

      Hey thank you so much! I do plan on posting more content at some point. Because I only like making videos on topics I have personal experience with it is taking time as I work through larger topics like ceremony and trance. It's always encouraging to get comments like this in the meantime

    Great vid. I like the lightness of it. Grant Morrison mentions putting the sigil as many places as you can so that you see it frequently.

    Great video! One of the better ones I’ve seen on the topic of sigils. I liked the point you made about ‘charging’ sigils. I’d be interested in seeing a Servitor video from you in the future 👍

    • @BlackFinch
      @BlackFinch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Servitors are great and in my personal experience I have found them to be the most potent and effective way to affect immediate change so I am definitely going to do a servitor video soon. I use a formula that is similar to the one posed by Bardon in the book Initiation into Hermetics - this requires a comprehension of the hermetic view of elemental magic so I will cover that first but expect a servitor video later into the summer! Thanks for watching!

    I agree
    Money vs prosperity
    Prosperity has emotional value
    Lost 40 lbs and dealt with bad habits very well using sigils
    Oh ya gained an empire smaller than the head of pin but an empire none the less

    • @BlackFinch
      @BlackFinch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow thats good to hear and thanks for the comment! Being able to recreate ourselves in an image we prefer is a fundamental part of magic so thats amazing you have had such great results- congrats! I think in the long run it's probably better to have a tiny empire than a big one if you do indeed want an empire at all. It won't come with you in the end!

    Do you not remove the vowels?

    • @BlackFinch
      @BlackFinch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Ciaran this is a great question! I am working with Austin Osman Spare's method of sigilization. This is also the form used in books like Liber Null and Practical Sigil magic. In this style only repeated letters are removed. I have seen people removing the vowels though so I tried to track down where this practice comes from. As best as I can tell the vowel dropping is a new addition as the only text I can find that does suggest the vowel dropping is Bluefluke's guide. I love this guide and I think Bluefluke is truly a luminary so anything they do is probably worth trying. I personally do not bother to drop the vowels, and ultimately you could make a sigil in many different ways like using pictures or a magic square. The important thing is that 1: the sigil should be abstract enough as to not trigger your conscious mind into connecting with the desire and 2: the sigil should be derived from the desire by you yourself. Whatever method you choose to you- you need to be the one to implement it. Someone else's sigil will not have the same effect on you. I would try with and without vowels and see which way you like better! Or you could have other rules that make the sigil easier to draw, like if you struggle to fit Q's in you could just always remove Qs to make the design look better. Thank you for the question and good luck in your practice!

    Why shouldn´t I do a sigil around money? Pls eggsplain.

    • @BlackFinch
      @BlackFinch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Money is basically empty- it is a representation of other things so if you are sigilizing a desire for money you may have "weird" results because its not a clear desire. It's very unlikely that what you actually desire is more paper in your wallet- you probably really desire material goods you can buy with that money ot feelings of security or power that comes with it- so you will have a more focused sigil if you can choose exactly what you desire. I encourage you to experiment with it though! Try making a sigil for 100 dollars and also try a sigil for maybe a new pair sneakers and see which one appears in your life first!
      As a general rule of thumb if I am wanting money I like to ask myself what would I spend that money on if I had it- and make sigil for that instead.
