    You 3bet your opponent and they call you - but with what range? SplitSuit explains the powerful framework for building their range in a precise and structured manner. Learn how a range forks, how different hands fall into different buckets, and how to narrow their callvs3bet range perfectly. And of course, doing this well also makes your postflop plays a million times easier while helping you find extra bluff 3bets preflop. You may need to watch this video twice!

    Could you please do more videos in a mind mapping manner like this. It is a pleasure for the brain to memorize different things and bring it to a context. Great vid 👊

    Thanks for the bucket analogy, it makes it way easier to assign a range. Now I just need to start studying to really get this stuff in my head.

    I really enjoy your videos. Is the entire workbook for fullring? Ranges in 6max seem much looser and A high flopfloats happen so much that two barreling is very profitable and smart people who know that are very sticky with secp making ranges very difficult for me. On your workbook link on splitsuit be sure to include a link to your homepage

    • @splitsuit
      @splitsuit 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure. All the examples in the workbook are full ring, yes. But you could pretend they are 6max spots if you are just looking for guided reps...

    hello! QUESTION PLEASE,, ive been playing for years but just now getting into more gto,, im naturally an aggressive player and has served me well but i e noticed that since i started studying ranges etc its slowed me down as far as aggression because i seem to always assign them made hands,, like. 8J7r flop and i bet as the pfr and they raise,, since 77 88 and possibly JJ are in their range i always level myself into thinking they have a set (or a big J hopefully but) because these low stakes live abc players dont raise alot postflop witbout the goods,, obv theres straight draws and big J's but my question is, how do we stop auto thinking he has a monster ,, is it soley because theres more Jx and 2pairs and straight draws in the range? like if theres more missed hands than made hands we continue always or,,, thanks in advance!

    Hi James superb video, extremely well presented and thorough! I just had a quick question in regards to 4 betting Queens. Do you think 4 betting queens is more binary than calling a 3bet with queens? I never 4 bet with queens always call, I guess I think if im 4 betting queens im only getting action from AK,kk AA and everything else is folding (if they were 3 betting me light) I don't really want to call a re jam after ive 4 bet with queens it's a sick spot. Obviously position effects this alot. But yeah, should I be 4 betting queens more? is it better than calling a 3 bet?

    • @splitsuit
      @splitsuit 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you would 4bet with QQ and only get action from KK+/AK, it either means a.) villain is too nitty or b.) your image is too nitty. Figure out which is true and then adjust accordingly =)

    Today I did a 4-bet with QQ and doubled the guy with KK.

  • @secondstring
    @secondstring 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Once your villain figures out you're raising with Q-10 and your reason for 3-betting is just to get info, it widens their calling range and 4-betting range tremendously, and blows your whole theory here.

    How comes your workbook is adressed towards live players? Isnt it also very useful for online players?

    • @splitsuit
      @splitsuit 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's just that the workbook's exercises are all from live games (and thus things like sizing will differ from online players). That being said, I'm finishing up a new workbook for 6max cash game players that should be out in the next month or so =)

    My buddy Ronnie would definitely 4bet/fold 44

  • @JulienLamy

    Interesting article. But in this example, if we got 4bet, we'd fold, right ?

    • @ThePokerBank

      Well if it's not that simple, it's probably also one worth exploring, because I think QT is indeed a very interesting hand to play.

    Why would someone call with KQs and good AJs to a 3bet?

    • @splitsuit

      They likely don't. This was strictly to highlight the process and framework...

      Someimes, the top poker player in the world doesn't he/she is the best player in the world. Do you know how many times in a tournament that the eventual winner could have been eliminated if it wasn't for luck?

    All this means nothing when you do all this and all of the sudden you get AA and you go all in PRE the other guy with KK spot a K on flop bum you out, there is no strategy or advise to avoid all this in tourneys Luck is very important.
