I usually save that for the setup video but luckily its super easy. Just hold the button for 3 seconds and it'll ask on the main screen what you want it to be programmed as.
This was very useful, I'm interested in buying it and the reviews don't really cover the things you live with every day. One thing to note: on electric cars I think the phone apps are very important. For me it's a deal breaker to not have a good one. So it would be good if the phone apps are described as well.
The app is pretty darn good in my opinion, I can't really showcase features unless we have the car as a demo, or a customer lets me use their login and their car.
Do you know how to turn regenerative mode off? I’d like for the car to coast when I let go off the gas pedal instead of lowering the speed and regenerate energy
Yes, its very subtle in this car but you have a couple of options. Hit the "vehicle" tile on the main infotainment system>ensure you are on "drive" tab>bottom right hand corner should have a recuperation button to turn on and off. Other option is to press and hold the steering wheel diamond button and reprogram that to be your recuperation.
Hi love ur explanations here, really informative, keep it up! May I ask a question? In the Taycan key we can press lock and unlock at the same time to disable the key signal, do u know how to do it on the new Macan key?
@theporschepro1065 hi , I mean how to temporary disable the comfort access by using the key. Like example if u long press lock+ unlock on a cayenne key, comfort access is disabled temporary
Only the US still has the gas powered Macans, and NOT for much longer. I highly doubt we will see any updates outside of maybe some different colors or different standard equipment at MOST. Even then I doubt that. However we don't know what Porsche is ever up to. They keep it very quiet.
@@theporschepro1065 Thanks, im really hoping for a final model year of the GTS before they say goodbye to gas engined Macans.. maybe they'll even throw in rear wheel steer..a man can dream 😆
@@lindvi0r I like the enthusiasm lol. I wanted to see a last hurrah, a Macan Turbo GT with the 4.0 twin turbo V8 out of a cayenne slapped in it. I'd love to see a tiny SUV making V8 sounds
I know nothing of this feature, never heard of it in training, never read it in the owners manual, don't see it being possible so far at least in US cars. I don't think any Porsche features this currently.
Not for a bit longer. I remember hearing mentions of rollouts of NACS starting next year, but it's not as simple as people make it seem. Older tesla chargers still wont work with offbrand for a long time.
@theporschepro1065 I saw you changing on sport mode, I would like to check if same options are available on all modes, I've heard that you can change in normal mode but not save as default setting on that mode, only sport and sport plus modes support saving
People think by switching the plugs that itll work. Its very complex. Even if we had the NACS outlets, it wont work. Especially old tesla chargers will not work for easily a few more years even if the car has the capability to plug in. They arent made to work with other brands and require updates to the chargers themselves.
Best explanation video ever about the functionalities and controls!
Thanks so much!
Would love to see a video on how active park assist works
Thank you very much for the comprehensive explanation. I will get my Macan 4 in a few days (hopefully) and I will be ready straight away!
It really is an impressive driving car!
Very informative. Thank you. For sure I will be watching this at least once more. WELL DONE!
Thanks so much for your kind words!
I think you forgot to show how to program the programmable button. Otherwise very nice overview!

Very complete and interesting !
Thanks so much! I was pretty excited to get the video done on the car.

My Macan Turbo 2017 looks way more luxurious inside than the 2025 Macan Turbo. It's a shame
Are the screens OLED or LCD? The q6 etron went with OLED and it does make a difference at night.
Based on the bizarre feedback I get on camera I can only assume it to be a form of LED, as I've never had that feedback on an LCD screen.
Great video!
Thank you very much!
In taycan on the left side of the steering wheel is a knob for recuparation. Where is these botton in Macan ?
Inside the system, under the vehicle page. When you change drive modes, a popup appears on the screen to quickly select it if you'd like as well.
Is there a parking assist function? Can't seem to find it on the ev macan specs list
Yes, the option is called "Surround View with Active Parking support" within the technology section of the Porsche build page.

The key signal? Do you mean comfort access? The ability to lock and unlock the car without actually using the key?

Nice colour very classy car
It looks extremely nice.
i love the look of the new macan but think now that i’m accustomed to tesla i’m finding it a bit is a dust gathering button fest!
any news about the gasoline GTS? Are they still making it / any rumors of updates to features?
Only the US still has the gas powered Macans, and NOT for much longer. I highly doubt we will see any updates outside of maybe some different colors or different standard equipment at MOST. Even then I doubt that. However we don't know what Porsche is ever up to. They keep it very quiet.

@@theporschepro1065 I love that idea, they really should go out with a bang since the Macan and Cayenne pretty much saved Porsche in a way.
Where is the emergency key?
Does it have lane following (active lane centering)?
Sure does! The ability to do so comes with Porsche InnoDrive with Active Lane Keeping. Which this car has!
missing "the Porsche digital key": KEYLESS DRIVING!!!

@@greeneyesss814 So long as they arent super tall, no issues at all. I got pretty long legs and sit pretty darn comfortable in the back.
Anyone have the "of course" count for this video? 😅
lol I'd like to see it too!
is this the USA model? I thought they were adapting NACS
Not for a bit longer. I remember hearing mentions of rollouts of NACS starting next year, but it's not as simple as people make it seem. Older tesla chargers still wont work with offbrand for a long time.
Going NACS would reduce the max charging speed of the Macan
How about the chassi and level options? All of them are available in all drive modes?
I believe I went over that a bit, starts around 27:06
@theporschepro1065 I saw you changing on sport mode, I would like to check if same options are available on all modes, I've heard that you can change in normal mode but not save as default setting on that mode, only sport and sport plus modes support saving
1. Locate the Turbo, disconnect it and sell it back to Porsche
2. Ask Porsche the cost of replacement brake pads and discs.
3. Start saving!
....This is an EV there is no turbo, and your post is clearly a troll post.
@@theporschepro1065theese type of people are porsche haters they do this with the cayenne
is there a boost mode like on the taycan ?
Good question, but no, only when launching the car it seems.
is there any 4S models in stock ???
4S was JUST unveiled so it'll be a while before we get them in. We currently have 1 Macan Turbo EV and a couple of Macan 4 EVs.
Why didn’t you vacuum the car interior before filming this? Makes the car look grubby with all the debris on the floors
SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Turbo EV is an oxymoron. It’s usage in the context of an EV is Juvenile and Meaningless.
The entire Porsche line uses turbo to mean fast. Even the 911 has a turbo model that refers to fast and not turbocharged.
Yes get over it
HIDEOUS
Dang, I love the aggressive look especially around the fenders.
He’s almost too thorough when explaining how everything works. Porsche owners aren’t idiots.
BMW and Mercedes owners do not know there is a signal/indicate stalk, this details explanation is good for everyone
