Im torn between steam deck oled and other windows 11 handhelds such as rog ally z1 extreme , i want to play my steam library as well as games from orher launchers
@@aquaman5464 i would wait for the ally 2, maybe its coming this year. I have a steam oled and its great fun tho and very easy to use, but not really made for fps or triple a games.
@aquaman5464 Lenovo legion go is the best option. Best screen and detachable joysticks, same price as Asus Z1 extreme.

Maybe it is about hdr. Anyway (steam) + (right stick up-down)
One I just found out not in this video is in desktop mode hold the start button for 3 seconds to switch from gamepad mode to desktop mode for the controller. Comes in handy.
Hold the Steam or ... button in gaming mode and it'll show you a list of shortcut combinations.

Switch 2 will never be as good as any handheld, they will focus on battery life rather than high quality performance

I want a tiny one. Nintendo Switch lite sized. Slide up screen with full keyboard. 10 hour battery life and a completely silent fan. No need to improve graphical power, it already plays everything I want. I know it's impossible, but that's what I want.

I don't get the HDR bar on my OLED... Was there an option to enable it?
It’s done per game now, so enable it in game settings. Retro Arch also has a setting to enable it under video settings.

Vimms lair go there bro but you dont need a steam deck to emulate on i can do up to ps1 on this hp pavillion x360 laptop but all Mario,Zelda.and pokemon games are not able to play all other nintendo games can be played

I have 512gb version I got emulation station and then my brother set it up but he bassicly just downloaded the files for the consoles and then you go to vimms lair and grab whatever game you want
I use PCSX2 to emulate PS2 games on my Steam Deck. I downloaded the emulator and the ROMs directly to the Steam Deck and it works flawlessly

I returned mine after 2 days was a piece of junk all glitchy and none of the short cuts you used worked at all and doesn’t even play most of the aaa games and if it does it’s like ps1 quality. Lots of issues and bugs not worth the money or time for me. I really wanted to love it as the screen is amazing and exudes quality.
Had the oled 512gb edition.

Damn I actually thought originally it wasn’t possible. My emotions are going back and forth lol. Update: emotions are up again, apparently Nintendo won’t ever be fully successful with erasing it..info is already out there.
