Sublimation on Different Permanent Vinyl

- Lets test out sublimation on different types of permanent vinyl! Did you know there is an abundance of vinyl types out there? Some of which sublimate REALLY well at that! Take a look at the outcome of these four different types!
In this video I used:
A-Sub Paper 125 gsm
Kraft paper
Printer Jack Sublimation ink
JPI Blanks Glow
JPI Blanks Color changing
Cricut Glitter
JPI Blanks Iridescent

I noticed your shirt. Back in 1980, my graduating class went on a cruise to the Bahamas, our class and the only other class that was on the cruise was from Myrtle Beach. Talk about some shenanigan’s going on!

I use that heat resistant tape because you showed us before.. there’s a tape dispenser for it too! I was watching another channel and she had the dispenser so I just had to get it 😆 I feel like I buy all the things TH-camrs have!
I know! I keep forgetting to order one lol! I am constantly loosing my tape!

I soooooo appreciate your testing! I bought a Zeny heat press- it just came today, and I was curious about parchment paper. Now, add these substrates and I’m off and running! ☺️
So glad to trial and error for you! You’ll love the heat press, if you have any issues always reach out to them. They take a while to respond but they will make it right.

Have you or anyone noticed if there is fading or bleeding over time on 651? Like I mean when you first press it it’s super crisp, but over time it bleeds and is kinda fuzzy looking?
I did notice this a bit when I left a shirt in the washer a few nights.
@@CraftingUnedited in the wash? I thought 651 was permanent adhesive not HTV
I think we need HTV Vinyl that has a thin layer of sublimation like the jigsaw puzzles etc. if that makes sense.

Did these come out to be waterproof? Just curious as I've tried to sublimate on white for a car decal and it washes in the rain. Thanks in advance!
Yes they do! I’ve tested them on cars and dishes!

Love that you are doing this and love your style. I'm having a hard time understanding the Siser EasySubli HTV. I thought it was going to be easy but I'm not doing something right. Have you tried it?

Does it work on white?
How would I do this if I’m not printing my own sublimation transfer? I have some left over that I bought and it’s sayings and pictures how do I get the glitter htv to just cover the sublimation image? I don’t want just a box shape of glitter htv I don’t want the white glitter to show. Help!!!!!
The white glitter is going to show through regardless. However, to avoid a box you could cut the image then trace an outline onto the glitter and cut it that way. I have done that too.
It depends on the paper that is used !
Sometimes, other times it is the vinyl too. It is always trial and error but when you get the combo that works stick to it!! Thanks for watching :)
Have you tried putting vinyl on a mdf round and then adding sublimation?
I have not yet! Good idea though it might work!
Curious if you have ever tried on the Cricut permanent white vinyl? It’s what I happen to have in hand but unsure if it is different then using the oracal permanent vinyl. Thanks.
I have, it doesn’t come out very vibrant at all. It’s very muted and dull.

@@bcurtis1612 Yes I tried this yesterday and it was very dull, we need vinyl that has a sublimation layer like whats on Jigsaw puzzles etc.

Yea!
Could you laminate the vinyl before sublimation
Possibly but then you’d have so many layers. It’d be pretty thick.
