      Amazing detail with all products!!!. Interesting the Easy Sub worked best. I purchased Easy Sub and used ET Epson 2670 and it worked great. I tried using my white toner 311 OKI printer & great results after washing too!
      I haven’t tried it with Sublimation because I don’t have a sublimation printer. I’ve been watching your very informative you tube videos & I appreciate how informative you are 😊!
      I am leaning toward a sawgrass sublimation, I’m still confused on what ink to purchase with it. I like the Easy HTV but weeding it for more detailed designs & trying to use the matt to pick up is very challenging.

    Angie, thank you very much for a very thorough video. I have been looking for so long for a good product as many of my customers want dark cotton. I tried Siser DTF and am very disappointed in the fact that you need to wash it before wearing it because it could get water marks on it if splashed. Could you please answer a couple of questions regarding your experiment. 1. how long in between washes did you do 2. Did you hang to dry after ALL of the washes? Also just a tip you might want to try. When sublimating something like easy subli what I usually do is press 'off the shirt'. Cut the easy subli as you have and tack it to a teflon sheet. Then I sublimate directly on the teflon sheet. This makes it much easier to line up. Once cooled the sublimated easy subli will lift off of the teflon sheet and will press very nicely onto the shirt.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I waited a variety of times in between to simulate use. I did NOT hang for all of them as I know that I accidently throw my stuff in the dryer all of the time!

I am in Nursing school and finding these videos are going to be a lifesaver to be able to find some extra time to get into crafting with my daughter, otherwise I would of spent to much time trying to figure things out on my own. If you don't mind I have a couple more questions, would the Epson EcoTank ET-2803 Wireless All-in-One Cartridge-Free Printer brand new be able to work as a sublimation printer, its a little more in my budget, and the tips that you did for sublimating on the dark shirts, do you think that would work for the cricut infusable ink on dark shirts as well?

    • @AngieHolden

      Any EcoTank can be converted for sublimation. You can use some of the same things with Infusible Ink on dark fabrics. For instance, the glitter HTV works!

    A very informative video. I've had requests for dark Tees and sweat shirts. I made a black shirt for my Grandson using an image on printable htv, then cutting on the Cricut. When my daughter washed it in cold water, inside out, the red ink bled onto the white areas and it looked as if the vinyl cracked, you could see black through the image.

    Hi! I realize this video is 3 years old, however, delving into sublimation on dark colored shirts. I have the same printer and sublimation ink as you do, so I was looking into the Flexi-Print. I followed the link you supplied, it is no longer available. I did a quick search on amazon to see if I could find the brand you used. I see mostly Siser. Do you have any other recommendations? Trying to make my son a sweatshirt for Christmas. 🙂

      Sorry! I don't think they make it now. EasySubli from Siser is a good alternative.

      I generally use 385 for 50 seconds with HIipoo paper and ink.

    Thank you so much, I needed a comparison of these and what they did and looked liked after so many washes. I heard with the easy subli you can sit under a press and it will dry it. I havent tried but seen that tip in a group I am in.

    I know this is video is a year old, but I am just starting out in this craft and find your videos a great source of info and have come to trust your judgements on products. I have not used the Easy Subli, yet, but have watched numerous videos and all users seem to use the 2-step method of application and seem to have the same results--its just too difficult to line the sublimation paper design precisely over the ES cut out design and the white shows. I have read some people say that there may be some expansion taking place in the htv while in the heat press that causes this. Might there be a way to apply the design on the sublimation paper to the Easy Siser HTV, get them located precisely (maybe using a light box) and then heat press the 2 all in one press? Has anyone tried this?

    Hello Angie, I am trying to make some black shirts for my church.
    My question is do I mirror the easy subli words before cutting or do I only Mirror the sublimated words???

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you do it this way, mirror sublimation. If you are printing on the EasySubli, no mirroring.

    Hi Angie, love , love your videos. And the time you take with us. I love to sublimate as well. Just learning, so my question is on the easy subli. I have an Epson printer, F170, a real one not converted . So , im not sure how to cut out the print on the easy subli……

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can try to print directly on it. I am not sure if that printer will work or not. You would just have to try different settings and see if they ink smears and if it will dry.

      @@AngieHolden HA! Got me! I did try the text and it was a royal pain. Used glitter HTV for background and ended up having to place each piece of text down one at a time. It looked great but oh my, the time it took. If you come up with a better way I would love to hear it. Until then I think I'll move on. Thank you so much for all you do.

    Hey girl, wow what an angel you are 💯🙌🏻💫❤ essential info and saves us time n money too....thanks so much
    Only thing is I'm in the uk and have difficulty finding same materials that you listed
    Also do you know of an opaque htv to sublimate on cuz that would solve the black/dark garment probs with clear or white

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a clear dye sub HTV at least in the states now. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/bPdeGm_6Sh4/w-d-xo.html

      @@AngieHolden hi sweety, yes I've got some clear htv last week and it's great for white/light garments but not for dark
      I purchased some inkjet printable htv that were opaque so was great for darks, however with them only being inkjet I assume the durability will be poor and fade quickly
      I've managed to get hold of some siser easy subli last night here in the UK... pricey though 😬😬😬🙌🏻
