      I have questions. Did u have any issues turning? Any wobble? Did the tire fit in the spare without any alterations? I am running the stock tires and I wanna get bigger tires, just a little bit… I don’t want to get any lifts or spacers… I do a lot of highway driving and all my off roading is for a few months during the summer when I go to the beach… so just sand, nothing crazy. Can u tell us the exact name brand and type…. Something I can look up.

    You are right, there is no video to compare stock tire with the BFG KO2's (285/75R17), big thanks to you! although I wish if you compare the weight of these two tires, it would be ideal comparison. Perhaps if you can mention what gears you are running, and how does it drives...etc.
    Thanks again!

    I just picked up 285/70/18 for my JLU Sahara. I’m going to do a video as well since I can’t find anything out there with this size combination and look. They are the Nitto’s and come in around 33.96 or say 34 inch tire as well. Should make a nice difference over the stock. Watched your video since it about the same size, around a 34 inch size. Great video

    Dude thanks for the comp. Just got my wife's '19 JLU and hate the stock Bridgestones. Wanted to go with 285/70R17 BFG's but wasn't sure if it would work on an unlifted JLU sport S. Now I know it will! Great pics too. Your Jeep looks nice and dirty as it should always look! ; )

    Nice vid. I wasn't sure on width, went with 275/70/17. Only 10mm narrower, but wish I went wider. I also have the Mopar 2" lift installed with 1.75" wheel spacers. Looks and rides awesome, but do wish I went 285. That would have been just that much better. For all asking, they are really quiet yet still very aggressive. They even earned the snowflake symbol, so although not winter tires, will perform better in snow. I'm in New England, so it'll be here soon enough! My first winter with the Jeep. Can't wait. Had an Subaru WRX with snows for the past 7yrs. Absolute beast of a car, just no clearance. Wanted a Jeep literally forever ;)

    I ran 285 Goodyear Duratracs on my 2010 JKUR. They held up really well and were quiet. They balanced out well and rode great. I got about 50,000 mikes out of them. Went with Nitto Ridge Grapplers after that. They wear good, did great on the slickrock in Moab, werent very noisy but never was able to get them balanced all that great. I’m thinking of sticking them on the new Jeep just to see if it was wheel/tire combo or the 2010 that had a problem...

    • @yesimbigwes
      @yesimbigwes 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 245 goodyear duratracs on my f150 and they are really loud. Im getting rid of those as soon as possible and getting the tires in the vid because I've had good experiences with them.

    • @mikerobbins5049
      @mikerobbins5049 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes im baby wes Thats weird..... Mine didnt get noisy at all until they were worn out practically. Plus I know several people running them that say they are quiet as well. The new Jeep has the BFG’s from the factory. So far I like them. They did OK on the trails in Colorado and Moab. The good thing is, when I change tires and wheels on the Jeep the BFG’s will fit on my Silverado..

    • @yesimbigwes
      @yesimbigwes 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My truck stock has no sound deadening in it so that could be a reason why it seems to be loud. Its good that you like them its just i found for my truck they suck. In the rain i have poor traction. in the dry they are fine though.

    Good idea for a tire comparison video. You could have rolled the smaller tire in front of the other as well. Did you see the video on the Rancho RS suspension lift on the JL? I believe it was done by WayofLife youtuber? That should be suitable and reasonably affordable for you. It's not a good idea to go with just a spacer lift if you plan on serious off-roading. Good looking Jeep! Thanks for sharing!

    Skinny tires should be better for rock crawling and wider tires would be better for (deep) mud. Wider tires will corner better - If you can actually push it through a corner without tipping over. Low speed cornering should be very good.

    @capitalchange_4205 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not sure if anyone else has commented this yet since I have not suffered the comments but, those tires when compared side by side the way you're comparing them will always show the tire on the rim to be taller than the tire off the rim, this is common sense. The tires are the same height when on the rim, they're just different width, hence the 285 vs 245 is your width, the 75 is your height, this means since they both have 75 height, when on the rim they are the same height. Now you know, and those kO2s are awesome tires btw.

    • @BillyOnroad
      @BillyOnroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The ko2s are definitely taller man, when i installed them they filled up the wheel well and I didnt have much clearance compared to stock. You're right the 75 is your height. But the 75 is a percentage of the overall width(285 vs 245) So 75% of 245 is smaller then 75 % of 285. Trust me man.. the 285s are taller. If you put these numbers into a tire comparison calculator you can see the height differences as well.

      And yes 315/70r17 are considered 35s.

    • @WildOutdoorLiving
      @WildOutdoorLiving ปีที่แล้ว

      285 is simply the width. The 70 is the aspect ratio. It takes into account the width of the tire (285) and the size of the wheel. So a 285/70r17 and 285/75r16 are both 32.8 inches tall. 285/75r17 on the other hand is an inch taller. Sorry this is an old post. Seems like this gets mixed up, hopefully this makes it clear for the next viewer.
