- I cannot describe how excited I am for this movie. Robert Pattinson looks so good in this role. I love the take of him being outwardly angry and not just a fake playboy all the time. You can tell how angry Bruce is in parts of the trailer and he's extremely brutal as Batman. There's really nothing I see here that makes me skeptical at all. So here's 8 min of me just praising this trailer and fanboying. #TheBatman #Batman #DCEU

I am glad you understand why he is wearing the paint on his eyes because I watched many other TH-camrs talk about the trailer and just rip it apart for that. I also see a lot of people hating on Catwomans costume when this Catwoman in the trailer is meant to look like she just threw something together for her first three heists and didn't want to invest a lot in a costume (if she had the money for a costume, why would she steal things?). I assume this Catwoman isn't expecting to make this into a career. Before I saw the trailer, I thought: "I know Robert is a good actor, but can he actually pull off Batman?" After I saw the trailer, I knew he is the chameleon of acting and oh yeah, he can pull off Batman. It feels so real and I have seen the trailer four times now, so that should tell you how excited I am. Sorry for the long comment; hopefully I didn't have much bad grammar. Thanks for reading.
I guess a lot of people didn't notice that detail in the movies... Which is odd since it seems like most of the general audience is more into the films vs the comics so I would have thought they'd seen it? Did they think the cowls just add magic black circles around his eyes?

That's what batman is supposed to be and it's time we get one that does that
Yeah the director for this one said he would focus more on what the batman is, the worlds greatest detective. So making the batman movie a murder mystery is perfect. Now the bat costume I’m fine with, it looks like armor and it looks like it has several gadgets on it, I’m actually kind of curious if he has the batsymbol batarang stored on his chest from the animated series. Also this is most likely in Batman’s early days because the goons aren’t afraid of him at first and then he beats the heck out of one of them, and begins creating the myth, the legend, of The Batman.
I guess people called him emo because he's the only Batman to have his eye shadow without wearing a mask. Even in Batman returns where he removes the mask while in costume he doesn't have any make-up. It's a stupid criticism imo.
People act like it matters, but it just looks more realistic. I don't doubt Bruce would be the guy to put eye shadow on just to look more scary.

Robert Pattinson has for me cemented himself as one of my favorite actors, and I feel like this has the potential to be the best iteration of Batman, looking the most faithful since the bale movies

I wasn’t a big DCEU fan it felt like things weren’t heading in a good direction but after watching Dc Fandome the future for the Dc movies is bright
It’s gonna be successful.
That's because they have begun to figure out two things.
1. The focal point of the character
And 2. Not every character has to be super dark(Wonder Woman, Shazam, Aquaman)

I think the idea of who the penguin is at the moment in his career in this movie and how he looks as well is very original and I hope that Collin Ferrell’s penguin also gets more of a comic, classic sort of look like the rest of the characters.

I haven’t been this excited for a movie in years. I never doubted Robert Pattinson could make a great Batman, and I was a huge supporter when he got cast in the role. Thankfully the trailer was good, and Pattinson look’s brilliant. I genuinely believe Robert Pattinson is going to be one of the best Batman’s we’ve ever seen.
I am really excited about this movie, it looks like the Nolan films, and has the dceu vibe. I believe it'll have great cinematography and Pattison is definitely going to kill it as the caped crusader. (Btw thanks for the shout out on Twitter, much love ❤)

We know there’s a big twist concerning the riddler that somehow relates to The Wayne Family. The letter addressed to the Batman with the owl on it also has a sort of symbol based code on it, which people say that have decrypted to refer to Martha Wayne. The Court of Owls likely have a connection

I keep hearing reactors talk about the gang with the black and white face paint as possibly being Joker followers. But in my opinion they look a bit more like maybe followers of Anarchy a lesser known bat villain, and it kinda fits with what they're trying to do with underutilized rogues like Riddler, Penguin and even Catwoman. Id be very interested to hear anyone's opinion on whether its Joker or Anarchy or if its even a lesser known rogue. Great video.

What makes me so hyped for this movie is the interview with Matt Reeves before the trailer dropped he was so enthusiastic and I felt like I could sense his inner nerd, this movie couldn't have been in safer hands

The ending of the trailer where Batman demolishes the thug using his fists reminded me of Arkham Origins' Batman. He is very brutal looking and right at the beggining of his journey as well. The Gotham City of the trailer had a very Origins setting as well, I'm happy Matt reeves is paying attention to so many aspects of the batman universe. Super excited for this!

I'm getting way too annoyed at the "I'm vengeance" line, would've sounded better as "I am vengeance". Doesn't mean I don't love the new concept; I really think this will be one of the best live-action adaptations of Batman.

I think it's impressive that there only a quarter finished with filming and this is the trailer so I can't imagine what the final product will bee. The riddler being done right and being taken seriously to me us amazing I think every batman fan is satisfied with this trailer and I honestly believe this could be one of the best interpretations of batman

According to Matt Reeves, Catwoman and Riddler both are very new in-universe. The former being just a small-time cat burglar for the time and the latter having just begun his riddle-filled murders. And then Penguin (who we see a couple times) isn't yet a criminal kingpin, and even despises the Penguin name.
I hope they make a Batman Movie with hush as the villian and do him almost like they did in arkham city, whould also enjoy deathstroke

yes!! I would love to see Hugo strange, as far as I know he's never been in a live action Batman movie. BD Wong did play him on the Gotham tv show, and did great, so I hope they cast someone as good as him.

I pooped my pants when I watched the trailer. Bruce is angry in the comics due to his past/parents death right in front of him as a child. This looks perfect!! The fight choreography looks AMAZING!!!!!

I think this has the potential to be the best Batman movie
I'm beyond excited! This might be the best Batman movie since The Dark Knight! What really made me beyond excited was definitely the scene where Batman lays into that thug. I know some people thought it was WAY too brutal for Batman, but no. It's not. Not for early Batman at least. Early Batman is still really rough around the edges. He still beats thugs to near death. That's why if the sequel comes out and takes place a few years later, I'm hoping he's much more a refined Batman.

Based on what we've seen so far, I love what they're doing with the Riddler. And if I'm being honest, I don't love that cowl, and the cape doesn't look like it had the points, but overall I'm happy with the suit for an early Batman. I've defended Robert Pattinson all the way since he was announced as the next Batman, so it feels good to have that faith rewarded. I love everything we've seen so far. I really think this version of Batman is going to be fantastic. Before Robert Pattinson was even casted though, I didn't love the idea of yet another Batman origin story (for the 783rd time), but I'm totally on board with this. Totally fuckin stoked. It pains me to know that it's still over a year away. I honestly can't remember the last time I was this excited for a Batman movie (I was actually excited for Ben Affleck's solo movie, with Deathstrokeas the villain, which we never got. Fuck you, WB. Definitely more stoked for this though, being thatvwe have a visual idea of where Matt Reeves is going with it). And as I'm typing this it sounds like our thoughts are almost exactly the same so I'm preaching to the choir I guess lol

I'm stoked for this film. It feels like a really fantastic blend of the comic book Batman, the movie Seven (95 film), with a bit of aesthetic that is reminiscent of Marvel Netflix's Daredevil series. Loved every moment of it. This Batman is brutal, but I feel he doesn't go over the edge like previous Batman portrayals went (outright murdering criminals).
The film looks insanely cool, and while I do admit Reeves' version of the Joker does sound really captivating, with this trilogy, I'm kind of more interested in seeing Reeves and Pattinson's Batman take on the following villains, especially with this Batman focusing much more on the Detective aspect than the previous interpretations:
- Man-bat: Pattinson's Bruce Wayne & Batman using his detective skills to find out what is this new creature, and figuring out the the identity of the beast (before confronting Kirk Langstrom)
- Mr Freeze: Bruce & Batman again using his detective skills to figure out who Mr. Freeze is, what really happened to him and finding out Ferris Boyle is the real villain.
I'm happy were finally getting a dark r rated batman like a realistic version of batman

I love the suit personally, except for the cowl. Honestly, my favorite cowl is the Batman Begins cowl, that fierce neck, and the ears on it were just really cool. This cowl just looks... goofy. But the rest of the suit looks great. I dig the bat symbol, and I like the more armored look to it unlike the previous suits which looked armored but resembled the thing they were made of more. Foam Latex.

So its been announced that this isn't a reboot but a different universe. As they are creating a multiverse, with Flashpoint.
Over the past few decades Riddler has been treated as a joke character and I’m happy that they are going a route that actually makes me feel frightened by riddler for the first time.
