- Batwoman is seriously determined to completely ruin Batman. Not only did he just leave Gotham City randomly for no explained reason, but he also is a killer now. Season 1 and 2: Fantastic
Season 3: Decent
Season 4: Absolute garbage
Season 5:Back to S1 and S2 greatness
Season 6: Shit
Season 7: First half with the prison story arc was awesome, second half was meh
Season 8: Great conclusion and a cool way to wrap up a show.
Flash: Season 1 and 2:Fantastic
Season 3:Could've been better, the villain was a good idea but executed badly with a lot of plot holes
Season 4:Garbage, with some great episodes like 4x15 but the humor was shit and forced af
Season 5:Absolute garbage
Season 6 for now: pretty good
Supergirl
S1 S2 and S4 garbage(Edit:except for the Lex Luthor storyline in S4, forgot about that, good actor definitely better for the role than Jesse Eisenberg )

I don't mind Batwoman but my biggest problem is how they keep bringing back Alice and I personally hate her as a villain. She's like a less interesting Joker. Actually, WAY less interesting.

To make the TV show more cool, I think maybe that should add a REAL Batman villain, like Professor Pig or someone who goes with the theme of the show. I also think maybe it would be interesting to see someone else from the Bat family like, Dick Grayson or Oracle or Tim Drake ( Who is my favorite Robin). This is just what I think.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that one of the biggest problems with batwoman (of the many) is how it treats the character of batman. It really pissed me off when they said that he abandoned the city as that is the last thing that almost an other version of batman would do. Hell in the dark knight rises after bane breaks his back and leaves him for dead Bruce forces himself to make that climb so he can get back to Gotham and save the city. Abandoning Gotham is not who batman is. And now this. Does the cw understand that the reason people love batman is not because we worry that he won't beat joker we know he will beat him but the moral dilemma behind it will batman finally kill joker. Will joker mentally break batman. If batman just kills then we don't get stories like under the red hood or mask of the phantasm. And if you have batman kill the joker at least explain why.
There are Storys where Batman kills Joker.
Give it time it was one of the very Last scenes if the last Episode that came out...they won't just mention it...and maybe he lied or maybe Joker died not directly because Batman killed him.
Even if Batman could not save the Joker from an explosion he would blame himself.

What sucks for me is that I am a pretty big fan of Kate Kane in the comics and I was really looking forward to this show and I was hoping for Batman to appear in the show and to have like a weird cousin relationship with kate
I swear I'm not stalking the comments here but I check this before bed and I actually think Kate is a good character in the comics. It's too bad this is what she got for a show. It's also disappointing because Supergirl is very underrated in the books too but then people just see the show for those 2 characters and that ends up being the impression they will have going forward about both of them.

I've always hated DC's live action shows. I really can't get through anything on the CW and DCU didn't end up any better so I have no hope for Stargirl or even that Green Lantern HBO show. I was always pretty frustrated by that since I love DC and they seem to have plenty of fans but I guess at this point I'm glad. It seems like most people have turned on some or all of them by now so even if could get into them at their best there's no way I'd stick with them at their worst and that would suck even more.

It's fine if you liked the show, but you can't deny the fact that what you saw was just a repackaged version of Batman. So to be clear, when I said "no one truly liked Arrow" i really should have said "no one ever got to see Arrow"...so yes, people liked the show Arrow, because it was essentially more Batman.
I haven't watched the show (gave up on the Arrowverse a year or two before then), but I recall one or two people reviewing the first episode explaining Bruce's absence pretty clearly as "he fought Bane, got his back broken, so he's off to deal with that".
Yeah Batwoman is really bad but Arrow and Flash are pretty good for the most part imo.

I have a theory about why Batman isn’t around and he killed joker and it’s besides what they said about why he left.
Point 1: In the original timeline the Flash newspaper it said Wayne tech and Queen industries merged, maybe Batman was never going to disappear and Oliver got his company back. And Batman was originally in the crisis. Meaning that he never vanished for years.
Point 2: the year, Batman disappeared around of arrow season 3 and flash season 2, arrow ra’s al ghul, Flash, zoom and the multiverse, at the end Barry item traveled and changed 15 to 16 years of the world and not everything was the same, John had a son instead of a daughter, Cisco brother died and Caitlin has powers. Maybe when Barry time traveled and created flashpoint then had thawne fix it, it caused a new Batman timeline having him disappear for a different reason.
Point 3: Crisis on Infinite Earths: In the after flashpoint timeline Batman and Bruce Wayne Disappeared, maybe he left for a different reason and when the multiverse was reborn and earth 1 combined with many other earths it might have joined with the killing Batman from Earth 99. Having him murder the joker.
But that’s my theory, you can tell me yours in the comments. I don’t know if it’s true but like I said, it’s my theory.

Jay, you should watch the show Krypton. It’s a great but really overlooked show. It takes some episodes to get into, but then it gets REALLY good. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good show to binge.
It's a SyFy channel show. That means it'll probably get like 3 season tops and then get cancelled on a cliffhanger ending.

Okay, so when I heard of a DC Batfamily Show in 2018. I was hyped. 2019 comes around and then this show pops up. And I hate it, utterly hate it. But to prove my point in a logical and comprehensive manner, I will have bullet points.
1. They took Batman, and threw him out of the picture. Which would'nt be bad. If they actually gave him a reason like in Knightfall or The Dark Knight. But no, they just pull a "He killed someone, and so he left". Which like I said, it can work...but the writers then decide to say that Kate is "better" than Bruce and then push Kate to just break that rule. But it's fine because she done it after Bruce, so it doesnt matter because EQUALITY!
2: The way they treat the mythos of Batman is just sad. They make very little references or even direct usage of mainstream Batman Villians. Which I didnt expect from CW, but at least make reference to Penguin or whatever...
3:Character Development, it doesnt exist...even if it does, it barely flys pass the "Development Check". Luke Fox or Lucius Jr. is changed from being a Veteran to a puss boy who essentially is just a clone of Lucius. And Batwoman/Kate is just a Political Statement and more or less a propaganda campaign instead of an actual character. It would be different if Kate was developed and didnt have all of this political bullshit but she was written in such a way that it calls out it target audience. Which is Comic Fans. This moves into point 4.
4: They target the audience to the political news and CBR instead of actual fans who would buy your product if you take your politics out of it. Now as for story without the politics as is, yeah it would need some rewrites...but I think with a couple of more drafts it could have been above a 6/10.
5: By god the acting is like staring at a plank....I get more action and emotion out of a Greek statue than some of the actors.
And finally, 6: They threw away Kevin Fucking Conroy. Made him a killer from an alternative universe and then just said "Batwoman is better, why?...because the suit fits a woman!". And then she just straight up kills him...I dipped out of the CW crap after that stunt...CW, and PC Culture...thanks, you ruined one of my most looked forward to moment in CW Batman. The reveal of Bruce Wayne and you fucked it up....wow....after that the only thing to mention is that the pre-Batwoman Batman suit looks pretty dope not gonna lie....

Bat family shows we should have gotten instead of Batwoman: Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin (Have it take place when Bruce was supposedly killed by Darkseid's omega beams), Batgirl, Cassandra Cain mini series (Show what her life was like before she met Batman, we should see what it was like being a child in the League of Assassins), Batwing (Luke Fox), and lastly a Battle for the Cowl mini series using the same characters/actors from the Nightwing, Red Hood, and Red Robin shows.
Red Hood I have to disagree. I feel he works better as a villain. Also Tim Drake needs to be Robin again or better yet get a whole new identity because I don't like Tim being saddled with the name of a fast food restaurant.
Batman would rather die a horrible and agonizing death then leave Gotham behind. And he would give his life before killing.. anyone. He has proven that he would rather evacuate an entire city then just kill the Joker and be done with it. In the Arkhamverse he said himself he would have saved the serial killer, sadist, (could be considered as) terrorist Joker.. just because he is so strong willed to upkeep his moral code.
How amazing would it have been if they made it where kevin Conroy would have been bruce from say like batman beyond and just had batwoman take over for him and maybe have a cameo appearance from mark Hamill as the joker or even just make a batman beyond show
If they better tied everything together the reveal could've worked. Like if they made it so that Joker found out Batman's identity and killed Lucius, so Batman finally broke and killed him and quit because he thought he was a failure as Batman. Sort of like the Batman Beyond movie's flashback.

The CW sucks. The first 2 seasons of flash and seasons 1,2 and 5 of arrow were great but the rest are just awful.

I used to watch all the cw shows cause they were connected and I didn't want to miss out on anything. I was really excited for crisis too, I mean who wasn't? But after seeing what they did to Conroy and my man Tom Welling, I just dropped them all together. And I'm a lot happier.
& I thought it was bad when they straight up called him Jack Napier as if that was his name that everyone knew with 100% absolute certainty
This is my thoughts:
I have no issue with versions of Batman killing bad guys. Heck, my favorite interpretations of Batman was Ben Affleck (even if Dark Knight was written better.) but if you’re going to take the bold move to make Batman break his one rule, you have to have some build up. Doesn’t even have to be much build up, just something to make us feel like Batman would actually do that.
A great example would be in “The Nail.” In that story Batman kills the Joker after joker kills most of the Bat-Family and Batman’s rogues gallery. Now unlike the story of Jason Todd, Batman didn’t get time to process and grieve before confronting the Joker, so it made perfect sense Batman would finally finish off the Joker.
But in Bat-Woman we’re just hold Batman killed the Joker. No context. No build up.
It’s like a punchline without a joke.

I watched every episode of the Flash, LoT, and Supergirl up until about halfway through Supergirl season 2 I think, haven’t touched the Arrowverse since. I was planning on getting back to the Flash whenever I could, but I’m not quite sure about that anymore

Okay, time for an essay:
I'm not caught up with Batwoman yet past episode 10, but if this is indeed true, it means that they have breached their own cannon, because in the Elseworlds crossover, his exploding teeth are in the evidence room, you don't see his cell, but why his teeth be there if he isn't, because he would have grabbed them if he escaped? Kate is already Batwoman at the time when this crossover takes place, so it's not like Batman could have killed The Joker before she became Batwoman. Also, on episode 4 of Batwoman there is a time jump to catch up with the rest of the Arrowverse because Luke mentions the Arkham breakout, which happened in the crossover, so that's two pieces of evidence against him killing The Joker.
Like you say, during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, the Bruce Wayne of Earth 99 killed The Joker (which I was pissed off about) but after the multiverse was restarted, all the Arrowverse characters are now on Earth Prime.
This means either The CW have really messed up their own continuity, or Crisis on Infinite Earths, might have made Earth Prime Bruce Wayne a killer since The Elseworlds crossover takes place on Earth 1. I don't know yet as I'm not caught up.
Batwoman has just started airing on E4 in the UK, so in about a months time, I'll be able to see for myself when the series gets to that point and when I do, I'll be sure to come back and change my comment accordingly.
I know Batwoman is trash and the only reason I watch it is because it ties in with the rest of the Arrowverse, but I think if things, don't get better by the end of Season 1, I'm giving it up, for what I imagine are fairly obvious reasons, plus I personally always give TV shows one seasons grace anyway. Supergirl has got better this season compared to last season and they have toned down how preachy it is (you got her name right by the way). Arrow got better before it ended, but The Flash is getting worse, however it's built up some trust with me over the years, plus The Flash is my second favourite superhero behind Batman and Grant Gustin is awesome.

I think that this batwoman show would work if it had a "fall of batman" b-plot. It would be an experienced batman story as he's slowly going to the dark side; and batwoman would learn good batman stuff, struggle with certain batman aspects, and even learn from his mistakes and be a better bat person.

The Netflix/Marvel shows were made by people who truly knew and loved the characters (except maybe Iron Fist, although it got better in season 2.)
I still watch the CW but just fast forward through Batwoman and I’m about to stop watching it and just have been trying to keep watching supergirl but it’s lost my interest but I can say I loved the finale season of Arrow maybe my favorite and have enjoyed Legends and Flash and Black Lightning was really good

I dont really think anyone working on the show can really be blamed for what's essentially an obvious excuse for the character to not be in the show. Its Warner bros that make the rules about what can and cant be done with batman on tv and they've been dedicated to keeping him off tv shows for years for some stupid reason. All you ever get is enough to tease at his existence. In this case it's just birds of prey all over again

The joker being in Arkham for more than 5 years could work if he’s comotosed like in the dark night returns. But he still would have come back because Batman came back even though it was late.

I watched one episode of Batwoman and that was just enough.
It’s honestly a shame certain things we love within the comic industry as well as the entertainment industry is not about developing great characters but rather pushing an agenda.
I liked season 1 of Batwoman, most of the Supergirl show, Almost all of the Flash, All of the arrow, and adored DC Legend of tomorrow, I see how people can hate them and see where all of their flaws are, but I enjoy them as they (in my opinion better than the recent DC Movies. (Except the new Suicide Squad that movie I loved especially with all the smaller characters like polka-dot man it was miles better than the first.)

I'm not like one of those anti-sjw people that dislike anything that has women or people of color but man this show has only 1 plot point: She is a woman. It's not even done tastefully. I thought Captain Marvel was preachy but this show takes preaching to a whole other level. It's pandering at the lowest of low levels.

Well there was a time where Joker stayed in Arkham for over a decade. It was in The Dark Knight Returns where he bordered on being comatose before hearing Batman is back in action and he returned to his old ways. It made sense because Joker was a dude who centered his entire identity around Batman. There was also the Nolan films where as the events of The Dark Knight Rises, he was still in Arkham even when they shut the whole place down and moved everyone to Blackgate, but the Nolan films weren't like in the comics where Arkham going a full week without someone breaking out is a red flag something is wrong.
Honestly I think the CW shows are at least ok. And they all have good moments (some more than others) and it's not the first time where Batman has killed the joker then quit being Batman. I don't remember the exact comic book but there is one where Batman thinks he kills the joker then quits for a long time because he broke is rule. So it's not completely out of character for him.
Why does CW like to destroy TV shows that had potential? God damn I dropped all of these shows because of this kind of crap

So it wasn't enough that they brought in Kevin Conroy just to turn him into a maniac then kill him, they also decided to say that the Batman of Earth Prime was also a killer? Cool. They don't even have the balls to say he killed Joker, and pussy footed around it.
That would've been an interesting thing to see, too. Like, if Batman actually did snap after everything the Joker did. Killing Jason Todd. Crippling Barbara Gordon. Massacring thousands of civilians. They could've built that up to it culminating in Joker murdering either Alfred or Commissioner Gordon, which causes Batman to finally break his one rule and end the Joker once and for all. And then after he realizes what he's done, he swears off being Batman forever, like in the opening of Batman Beyond, and ultimately leaves Gotham, because like he said in Under the Red Hood, if he ever started killing, he would never be able to stop. That would've been an awesome and tragic end to the Batman of the Arrowverse.
But no, we get in in a few lines of clunky exposition. Because that's what the CW does. About 30 minutes of talking, and only five minutes of action.

I was a CW fan but have given up on everything but Legends. Melissa Benoist can do a great job with good writing and her scenes with flash are always fun.
Ngl, i was excited for this show (until the first trailer that is) but then i never even got around to watching it. And theres no way im going to now. Unless its a crossover episode during the yearly big crossover.
Crisis on Infinite Earths is worth watching at least for Brandon Routh but I agree fully on that decision.
