I really want them to actually make Jason a character instead of an edgy smoker dude. He has one of the most complex philosophy and the relationship with Bruce and I really want them to touch on that. Little moments where you actually see Jason grieving over Bruce would be so cool.
They will never to do that unless you want them to glimpse over it in the game as you can play the whole game as him.
They would only do him justice if they make him the single protagonist for a game movie or series. Other than that, till I become famous in acting they will not do Jason todd right

I'd love to have more missions that involve having to use stealthy manoeuvres and tactics to get to a specific target. Like, it'd be cool if, since we're dealing with the Court of Owls, if the Bat-Family need go to some kind of big event like a gala or a ball, since the Court are mostly prominent societal figures, and they have to stake out the place and locate a target to capture, whilst trying not to draw too much attention to themselves, since they were associated with the late Bruce Wayne and will therefore attract a lot of attention from rich socialites and the media. And once you've gotten you're target, you need to sneak up on them and take them to a quiet space with no people and interrogate them to find out info about the Court's dealings.

My absolute biggest concern regarding the game, is that the characters are going to take a backseat. The game can be played from beginning to end with only one character. The branching paths are going to keep the characters very generic. It’s going to be slightly altered, but mostly the same. It’s something I’m very worried for, and not what I want. I want to see their alter egos bounce off of each other. It’s what makes the batfamily the batfamily. Not the masks, but the people who they are underneath
I initially thought that all the characters had their own stories that came together into the Court of Owls conspiracy towards Act 3. So each character would go off and tackle their own missions and villains, then find out something bigger is going on. But then the interview came out that you can play through the whole game as a single protagonist and the co-op could allow for two Batgirls, I just know that characters themselves are going to take a backseat.
Hell, I now also highly doubt Batman will be playable because adding him in doesn't make sense for the structure of the game. You play through about half the game as Nightwing, then Batman gets added to the roster. So then you have to take the time and level up a new character if you want to play Batman. I'm cautiously optimistic about the game, but I don't know man.

Origins having no civilians at all was weird because the Firefly segment had a whole bridge full of people that were kidnapped. Obviously he didn't go to their homes, tell them to drive to the Gotham Bridge, and then hold them hostage, so they must have been out and about. And yet this is the only time in the game that we ever actually see anyone around?
Well luckily all the civilians out congregated to the bridge, and firefly capitalized
It was always my head canon that thugs not wearing masks are civilians hanging out, only for Batman to start beating them.

In regards to Joker being in the game, I think the best case scenero would be a cameo appearance that lets the player know he's alive in this continuity. Have a shot of him in Arkham Assylum or a shot of him being taken away to Arkham.
This avoids the risk of him overshadowing the story or feeling underutilized. It's the Joker, and he's known for having big & crazy schemes so it's hard to find a balance in that when he isn't the main villain & isn't going to be the main villain later in the story.
It's simple & gets the job done. Even if a little underwhelming, it's better than a side mission that makes him feel underutilized, and after 4 games in recent years having him be/turn into the main focus of the story, we don't need it happening again in Gotham Knights.
What if he committed suicide I mean there's no Batman anymore or at least depressed it would be cool to see him sad maybe when he found out someone else did it he killed Harley idk seems like a good idea
I kinda want them to have character based side missions. you can pick whatever character you want to play the story but you can have missions that focus on each characters abilities and story from the comics. like you can have Tim drake solve crimes from like the penguin, or you could have knighting try to find the gang tony Zucco works for, and you could have Babs and red hood switch off and try to find joker and his new joker toxin

The free roaming Wayne Manor is such a great idea. It could be a fun side area with secrets like Croft Manor in some of the older Tomb Raider games and the TR: Legend trilogy.

I wish it was 4 player like the avengers game. This game is perfectly set up to run similar to that game. Just imagine all 4 Bat-Family members fighting together. Imagine the cool quad-takedowns they could do.
VishDaFish2016 the only problem I’ve got with that is how cluttered the game becomes with four players, as well as the spike in difficulty. Can’t be too easy because four players will cream the bosses but it can’t be too hard or two players will get demolished.
Ripsicle true, but if the map was more open it would be cool to have 4 players strategically position themselves around a POI and slowly work their way to the middle.
Yea i like for there be solo missions for whatever character u play as but also have mission evolving 2 or more member with the climax or final both take all four but able to play as single player with AI controlling the others
I want to see the Joker as a side mission, not the main plot or anything, just let him have someone hostage or something and you have to sneak around and take him down or something like that idk

I remember in the gameplay the guy said that this is like hours into Barbara’s character progression. So either that means that’s like gameplay and upgrades. Or…….. it means each character has their own individual stories and arcs and those take up to like 15 hours to complete each. That’d be awesome!!
Thatd be awesome if each character had a 15 hour campaign. Jason and Dick should have a like older brother, younger brother relation. Dick and babs should have at least one scene where they're on a date. Jason and Damian should acknowledge their both the angsty ones of the fam.

Hopefully they do something like ghost recon breakpoints realistic mode, where you can turn off the leveling system and damage sponge enemies. Because they said that enemies will tune their level to your level, so basically the leveling system doesn’t matter. That would definitely get alot of people back on the gotham knights hype train, not saying it looks bad because im buying it no matter what but its just something to note.

I honestly scared that this game will make the same mistakes avengers did. I hope this game isn’t too online focused, because I did not like that about avengers. Also I hope that this game focuses on more than one villain (as you said) mostly because I hated how avengers really didn’t have any established villains besides modok, aim, abomination and taskmaster. I hope that this game does focus on the court of owls. But I hope joker is in the game as my favorite comic book character, I hope he at least has a long side quest or a major role in the story. I hope this story is actually well written too and not just trying to get it done in time of a deadline like how I felt Avengers did due to the lack of character development of the characters (especially Thor and cap). The game is made for a single player experience according to the devs, it also doesn't need you to be connected to WiFi to play it. Also, everyone's kind of tired with joker at this point. He would be cool as a sidequest with Jason or Babs bit nah je shouldn't be a part of the main story

I'm really puzzled why this isn't Arkham! I loved that series rendition of these characters and they really differed gameplay wise. So I would have loved to see a game about those versions with their unique abilities and gadgets adapted for a new combat system. Red Hood and Batgirl would admittedly need some extra work put into them (for Barb some of Batmans tools like the weapons jammer could be adopted). They a just different enough. Admittedly my favorite thing from WB Montreal would have been an Origins Sequel focused around Bruce and Dick as Dynamic Duo.
@@karma-4730 Didn't stop them from making Origins, the same way not being Bethesda studios not being stop Obsidian from making Fallout New Vegas. Heck there are several multi studio franchises, just look at Assassin's Creed.

A neat way they could include the Wayne manor is to make it a post-game hub. The manor explodes in the beginning and Wayne industries is rebuilding it as the story folds out.
Everyone know's that batman has multiple batcaves scattered around gotham like the northwest batcave and the one underneath Robinson's park i hope that we can see one of them since the main one got destroyed ..
Here's a cool idea for a Joker side mission in Gotham Knights?
As you are playing through the game you hear reports of a bat themed hero aside from the main four running around the city. The mystery hero is thought to be Batman as from a far his outfit looks almost identical to Batman's. You investigate the sites of where the mystery hero saved civilians and you see signs of Joker such as the rescued civilians are smiling, laughing due to joker gas, or joker playing cards with a message similar to when Spider-man would write calling cards with "you'r friendly neighbourhood spider-man" on them. When you finally encounter this mystery hero it's Joker in a joker themed bat suit. In the final encounter you could have a predator on predator fight against him trying to take him down from the shadows as he does the same with you. Or maybe the court of owls attack and you need to fight alongside Joker to escape.
I think this would be really cool and something no one would expect if they include Joker in Gotham knights!

I said this before and I’m going to say it again. I think WB wanted to make Gotham Knights a sequel, and then Rocksteady told them or they found out that Suicide Squad would be the sequel so they dropped it. But, they didn’t really want to change much. Also, I hate the RPG aspect but the gameplay was the Alpha build. It’s too early to classify the game.

Hello jay. Today is just a lazy rainy day and I’m watching in bed and it’s gonna be fun to watch this. Also I’m uber excited for gk. Also yeah you are great jay. I hope we see civilians a good bit. Apparently their is gonna be traffic and stuff which would be really cool. I’m also really excited for all the villains in the game. Hopefully killer croc and firefly are in the game. Since they are my favorite Batman villains. They tried to throw us off their trail. They need to have Lincoln March in the game. That would be awesome. No I agree joker should be in it. Wouldn’t feel like Gotham city without joker.

The mistake with starting their own continuity is not starting at the beginning. These guys have already made a staring point for the Arkham series, so they know how to do it. I just don't see where they can go afterwards.

Arkham Origins had the best story and the best boss battles so that's why I have full faith in WB Montreal to do a great job with Gotham Knights.
Looks like there's a few civilians towards the end of the section where batgirl is riding the bike at the start of the trailer
Need better boss fights than Knight had. City had some decent ones but Knight reeeeeally suffered from lack of good boss fights, which adventure games sorely need. The Freeze boss fight teased in the first Gotham Knights clips looks dope. Hope the others are just as good if not better.

Honestly I loved collecting all riddler trophies and although it was time consuming, idk I always loved going around the map and finding Easter eggs in the process too. Hope they keep the trophy system, at least to an extent
100 at most. in a huge map. maybe 50 trophies in secret locations that have relevance to comics, and 50 riddles because who doesn't like the riddles. but there's no more batman so I'm not sure it really makes sense

Aslong as there are no "bossfights" that just require one button press like TwoFace in "Flip of a Coin" Arkham Knight
We need more side villains like Doctor Hurt, Maxie Zeus, Prometheus, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Black Spider, David Cain, Phantasm, and Reaper. Like villains that you don't see that often or that doesn't get the spotlight that they deserve and that they can put there very own spin on the characters.
I'm not familiar with Black Spider and Reaper, but yes to all of the others that you mentioned. And it's Doctor Hurt not Doctor Hunt.
I can't think of a non-contrived way to bring the Joker back *again.* Having him exist in Bruce's mind was very clever, but I think they've run out of tricks by now. We've already un-crippled Barbara, so that would really be stretching things. Even Batman reappearing would be cheesy as hell
Technically they can do whatever since it’s a different universe but yeh shits starting to get old since it’s been recycled so many times
I really hope they make the armor simple and not super confusing to use and not like an armor system from Injustice 2 since were getting leveled enemies now.

Honestly I can see that happening, then it makes people play the story the full way through to unlock him. They know that Batman makes money, so full on killing him will hurt sales
I feel like Joker could have a alluded presence via his gang, however he’s not there because Batman isn’t around, but if/when Bats returns, that builds up to a Gotham Knights sequel that’s influenced from Death of the Family and Joker Wars.

i would like for there to be a lot to do after the main story like side missions or co-op missions or even a wave type of thing or heck even pvp just something after the main story to keep me playing
Great points about fleshed-out side missions based on comic book stories, more civilians out there. I would like to add to the civilians being in trouble in dark alleys or abandoned buildings, kidnappings in trunks of cars a kin to Marvel’s Spider-Man. Having constant crimes and interactions with civilians is what will make this game stand apart, in a great way, from the Arkham series. The only other thing I would love to see but it’s probably too late to achieve, is that they change the costumes and weapons to be more like the Arkham series, darker and grittier than these Joel Schumacher Batman and Robin Loud, Neon lights and bright colors!!
they should have riddles that you scan as ester eggs that give you xp and you shouldn't need all of them to beat Riddler it just adds to the world and gives you xp

Other than that I like that they will make the court of owls as the main villain, don't like all that much the rpg approach, and the models are giving me a weird feeling like the cloaths doesn't seem to have weight and redhood's helmet looks like it's made out of some kind of clhoth idk.
Edit: Maybe in one part of the game you would need to get something from the joker, and he is like all excited thinking the batman is back and when he realizes it's just a member of the batfamilly he just gets all sad and give up. Then you take him to GCPD or Arkham and he just stays quiet the whole ride.
I know they said you can play the whole game with any character you want, but I really hope there are side missions where you have to use a specific character. Something like haley's circus coming to town and dick decides to check it out, or something is going on at the GCPD and Barbra wants to take care of it herself. Stuff to really emphasize the character's personality and individual skills.

I would like riddler trophies but I would prefer them to handle it like Arkham City. They were more challenging but I would like it if they reduced the amount to 150.
I’m sure the trailer said the explosion was in Gotham City so Wayne Manor might still be there.
I'd be interested to see how Joker would react to the apparent death of Batman in this game.
I'm actually pretty excited for GK. I'm open to change and RS and WB have said they weren't going to focus on Arkham. So people who thought they were getting another Arkham game got their own hopes up for nothing. I like the teamwork aspect. It's rare to have a game you can play with someone else that isn't competitive but co-op in the main style of gameplay. Batman likes to work alone but can be a flaw sometimes. I love the Batfamily so this is right up my alley.
I love games which take a stylistic choice such as Life is Strange which helps games stand out from each other form a glance. I quite like the more cartoony, stylized graphics rather than the hyper-detailed and realistic ones in Arkham because it feels closer and akin to emulating the comics or animated series if they are gonna stick with it.
Seems to be a hybrid and balance of the Arkham free flow and typical best em up combat. It's reminiscent of Arkham but unique enough to be its own thing. They don't seem to be glued or magically attracted to enemies but seem fluid and agile enough to keep up a combo between enemies and not have restrictive movement which kills the momentum. I assume some characters are more agile than others due to their builds. such as Robin being able to teleport or the more acrobatic Nightwing and Batgirl. In regards to the leveling system, I hope it delivers on enemy difficulty not just being based on stats but how the combat plays out as the commentary said. WB have said you can turn off the number HUD and the levels are more of an indication of how tough the enemy is. People forget that games like Arkham enemies have health bars but you just can't see them.
Is this one of those games where you're a random Batman Family member teaming up with the core family and you have pay for different costumes and combos, gadgets?

I want joker in the game, but mostly in the form of a secondary villain who is equally as sinister as the court of owls (just in s different way). Maybe have him locked up already, and you visit him in his cell at Arkham. Like Hannibal or something. He’s not the main villain, but he’s definitely a major threat.
