Thanks for this. Started studying last weekend for this. I’m currently on a journey. I’m 24 turning 25 on Oct 5. I quit highschool my senior year to go onto the next 5 years and do nothing with my life. I’ve always been into the cyber field because I’ve always been tech savvy. My journey is only starting and I’m glad to have come across your video. Thanks for all the tips!

I was just at Fort Meade today and yesterday lol didn’t know you were stationed here. I just swore in today!! this AFSC is on my list, thanks for the info!! :)
Tried so hard to get Cyber Systems operations, been watching you for a while now. Good luck on the competition pulling for you. I made a 95 on my ASVAB and got inflight refueling. I ship October 29th getting pumped for it. Much love homie.
JEROME JOHNSON yes there is! Definitely one of the biggest fields currently in the Air Force. Something I also didn’t mention is that as a 3D you are essentially able to go to every Air Force base around the world
@@killerpizza2718 For me this job in the reserves its not hard to catch up on learning new tasks maybe a week or two. The hands on part for my afsc happens mainly during 2 weeks of training per year. The hard part about a cyber sys ops airmen is getting comptia security+ in tech school. There's lots of jobs similar to this in civilian world like "network/system administrator, computer tech, software this field is very broad in terms of work.
@@sparescratch1623 thank you I am transitions to reserve from active duty and will be doing this job. I might try to get an early start on studying. I hope I can work something similar or get an intern on the outside. Thanks!
Keep it up Brady, love the content you post and specially the editing , sending my regards from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. I also want to ask you if you got any tip on tech school ? I’m thinking about re classing and I would appreciate any tips you recommend
Since the Air Force pt requires low weight & high rep fitness, when bodybuilding is the opposite; how do you do well in both styles? I’m curious since I wanna succeed in both and am trying to find the best way to do so. (sorry that this isn’t totally related to this video)
Great question Dylan! Having to maintain a decent run-time will definitely put the emphasis on a slimmer lighter physique. The way I manage to balance this is by bodybuilding in cutting and bulking phases. I try my best to make sure that my official PT test falls when im at a lower body weight therefore my run time will be faster. I don't really think either style of training really interferes with the other either. Growing your chest and tris and also strengthening your core will also lend to a higher push-up and sit-up count. That being said nutrition plays the biggest role in the change of my weight and physique throughout the year
Hello, I’m strongly considering buying a CompTia Security+ study guide at the book store so I’m prepared to test out and pass the exam. Does the bookstore have the latest version what the Air Force tech school will be using?
The Air Force would take whatever the most up to date version of Security+ is, if I’m not mistaken. Verify with your recruiter before you commit to a purchase though
This is super late but I wanted to ask is it hard to get the cyber jobs as far as availability? Or do they have a good amount of openings so long as you get the required score?
What did they check for your clearance? My credit is shot but building it back up and know that this might be an issue. But I’m really hoping it’s not because I’m working on it..
we have a career field called cyber surety. but yes my career field you recieve the comptia security + certificaton as well as having the opportuntity to pursue others
no! to qualify for any job in the air force the test you take is the ASVAB. a 64 or higher is required to qualify for my job. I recommend any of the general study material out there for the asvabs well as any practice tests that you can find on the internet. just search 'asvab practice tests.'
Just to let you know, you take the cyber test and it’s mandatory if you’re taking the ASVAB with the Air Force. It’s also not part of the ASVAB so don’t worry about it affecting your score.
Difference between CTN and your AFSC? I can’t decide which branch. Navy I get to enlist as E-3, any other branch as an E-2. I like the Navy but idk if Air Force is better for cyber.

PaintThinnerGang it’s not very hard! And yes I wouldn’t recommend transferring your car till you arrive to your first duty station! You are allowed to drive to other stations when you have to PCS as well. I’d say wait it out and see. You may even get stationed close to home
@@rades920 I say to wait it out bc I dont think its worth it to transfer your vehicle to your tech school for a few months when you have no idea how far away you might get stationed. (so yeah getting stationed overseas would also add to that point.) at the same time its all your discretion. i knew people who had their vehicles during tech school.
