    Yes, all DoD personnel get paid the same depending on rank and TIS. However, if you are in a specialty job like aircrew or if you are receiving hazard pay etc....obviously that young Airman will probably be making more money than a finance troop. Something to think about when selecting a job.

Have fun getting handed a uniform instead of earning it. I speak from experience not ignorance. If you think the "chair force" is harder when it comes to PT, you are clearly misinformed.

      Mike Fa that is correct

    • @WuwuandNillump
      @WuwuandNillump 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s always been that way. It’s on rank not position. Which I believe is both a good thing and a bad thing. However someone who is an engineer could be an officer and make more money. But it prevents people feeling like they are less important however it also undermines the jobs that are a lot harder or require more effort.

      @@BradyuNunez I guess you're right. Assigned to the 126th Air Refueling Wing in Chicago, it had a Chow Hall (only open during weekends that Reservists & Guardsmen came for drill) & it has no Quarters/Housing, so working in Finance, I dealt w/Orders, Deployments, Travel Voichers, TDY, PCS, etc. The concept is members earn BAS (Subsistence) in their check if they performed duty on any base (even home station) if no Air Force Services unit or other contracted food provider exists. BAH (Housing) is similar, if an any member travels somewhere that doesn't have Gov't Quarters to stay in, BAH is given to them, as the military houses/feeds members. And there's added COLA to BAH depending on the cost of living where they travel to/are assigned to. A mil facility in NYC w/o space for Housing or Chow Hall will pump up one's check w/BAS & BAH adjusted upward vs. a member in the Dakotas. Heck, I even was paid mileage when I had sock call, since we had the 126th USAF Clinic, but only open on 1 weekend/mth, so I went to Great Lakes Naval Ctr & paid mileage. I just wasnt sure listeners knew what BAH was & why u got it.

As a Tech Sch grad, still E-1, I was awarded 3-level 70230 with its initial occupational badge as "Info Mgmt Apprentice." Not many occupations had badges in '92! In '93 AF converted all AFSCs, I found a base printout, I was A1C in Nov '93 as my 70250 AFSC was converted to 3AO51. So I did have a 5-level before reaching SrA. I re-checked personnels printout. So I began studying the NCO Prep Correspondence Course as an E-4 (Guard rarely does ALS). I made E-5 in Jan '96 & 6-yr term up on 12/25/97. Off during university summers, I always asked for AD TDYs. Major N, my boss as Comptroller always found $ to put me on Orders F/T; 1st to NGB at The Pentagon '94, to Andrews AFB '95, to TN ANG '96 got an Exec Appt as a GS Civil Service dual status ANG technician & worked directly for the Brig Gen, our Chicago Wing. Commander.

      Crypto fitness not at all, I had some 29 and 30 year olds in my flight at basic. If you think the military will benefit you, go for it! I was 22 when I joined

      @@BradyuNunez man thats awesome. do you get promoted easy ? I was told that I will come as an E3. how do you pick your jobs ?

    • @BradyuNunez

      Crypto fitness yeah you’ll go in as an E3 if you have a degree. For job selection you take a placement test called the ASVAB to see what you qualify for. From there you get a job based on what’s available. You’re able to select up to 9 that you’re interested in and hopefully you have a recruiter that’s able to get you into a field you’re interested in. Nothing is guaranteed though

    Hey Man - way back when in the 70's and 80's and 90's my dad made very little money in the air force and like you hussled on the side selling double glazing. Of course you wheren't allowed to do that, but he and mum had me to think about and thats why he did the 2nd job. Nice video bro simple yet entertaining.

    Save up when you retire from the airforce because some people leave without any money because they spent it all

    If you don’t enjoy your job in the Air Force is it easy to switch jobs after your contract?Lets say from management to security forces.

    • @BradyuNunez
      @BradyuNunez  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Fa no its not. I tried to switch into a photo/ video career but there were no openings. Not only do you need openings for the job you want but the job you are in needs slots available for you to exit the field. Also you can’t cross train until you reach 3/4 of you entire contract.
