As someone who was born in America this video is hilarious. I've never considered how awkward it would be for someone from South Africa to visit America ... Now I totally understand.
1. Driving on the other side of the road 2. People only speaking english and not vernac 3. No taxis and south african cars, no cabs, mostly found in the cities 4. Calorie counts on all food 5. Not having petrol assustants at petrol stations (filling up your car by yourself) 6. How expensive it is to do hair 7. People don’t relax their hair 8. Most foods and items are in family size/bulk size 9. Tax not being included in prices 10. At restaurants they don’t have cards machines, they take your card to the back and make the payment 11. Metric systems not being the same 12. Travelling times are different (for example in SA 30 minutes away is far but in america it’s not that long at all) 13. No walls around homes or only fences and you see your neighbors all the time 14. Adjustment of how you say words and using slang 15. The amount of self service available in america is different from sa
Great video. How I miss SA people. Love hearing your voice and mixing languages 😂😂. I hate the imperial system, we are used to metric system. The card at restaurants always freak me out. I miss having walls between houses. You have great energy.
Mara I like how unique we south Africans are it's like we live in our own planet we love freedom in complexity and it's in our DNA...it's funny how we work well in groups...put a south African in any group you'll enjoy the attention he/she commands...Pride in public freedom💁🏾♂️ normally rea phapha😒

Gumba-gumba pack 😅. Nice video ausi. I think Quantums are SA style taxis, manufactured in Durban. If possible, try to be slower when you speak. All your points are nice. Speedpoint machine, etc. 👌
USA is expensive, I was there for a short while. Even buying bread was shocking, normal bread for about R30 back in 2002. Then there's this tax thing. As for hair, I refused. Braids were going for thousands of rands back then. I kept relaxing my hair until I came back home. As for snow 🥶🥶🥶😭😭😭 then we got invited to a barbecue, and we thought of Madea's cookout. Was it not a vienna braai 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the disappointment... Americans though
the bbq part killed me oh no lol, if it was that amount back in 2002 I don't even want to convert it to now haha this tax thing us frustrating oh my goodness me !
Love the video ❤️😌 But I'm still surprised by the payment of unbrading & washing your hair 😱 R1 260 😭. USA is so expensive bathong. So now do you braid your hair?
Girl I was so upset Yoh I was mad ! I braided for my birthday ! And today I relaxed my own hair 🤣🤣the thought of braiding again at a salon makes me sad 🤣🥲
Enjoyed it ❤️. Time thing is almost like CT a 30mins drive here is not that much as compared to when I am in Limpopo it feels like I’m driving 2hours. 🤣 Also Self service we have quite a number of self service stuff.
English is a derivative of Greek and Hebrew- we speak a derivative of our mother tongue ( hebrew- Aramaic; which is not a "white" mans language due to popular belief/lies)- its a way deeper history to us as "black" Americans. That's something most people don't know or care to know due to mental conditioning and lies. So we speak our language- also English is the number one business language around the world- so many people speak it abroad: plus we never learn or are encouraged to learn anything other than english
America is one of the few countries to still use the Imperial system (there's only 2 or so countries that do). It is left over from when the UK controlled the USA. You'd think they'd want to get rid of it because of the UK colonialism connection, but no. They still insist it's the "best" system, despite the opposite being so obvious all the rest of the world has changed to metric. Funnily enough, even the drug cartels in the US use the metric system! :) Everyone knows the metric system is better because of it's simplicity and elegance. The US was going to change to the metric system in the 60s, but the next president came in and abolished the law that said they had to change before it was enacted.
My shock was how many black cars are on American roads, it's like everyone drives a black car, in SA we don't like black cars, it is an obvious difference.
