    I’m American and I’m going to tell you that you are not crazy. It’s definitely expensive for no reason. We have to pay for unnecessary things. Lol
    The American flags all over the place: it depends on where in America you are and the type of people living there. Most times if you tons of American flags all over the place your probably in a White/Caucasian area, sometimes in rural or suburban areas away from the major city or near the White House in DC. Those people tend to act like they are super patriotic but I can tell you as a Black woman, I’m not putting the American flag up.
    When it comes to pharmaceuticals and healthcare in America, it’s designed to take your money. I feel like it’s a new medication being advertised every other month lol. You’ll find that a lot of doctors push medications on you constantly than actually helping you get rid of the issue. It’s so many people on tons of medications that don’t get off. They get you on them so you can continue the cycle of paying for medications which makes the pharmaceutical companies money.
    Other than that America is cool, it just depends on where you are and learning how to maneuver through our customs.

      Oh I forgot to add, our diet here is TERRIBLE. That’s why obesity is a huge problem here. Just about everything has sugar in and in some cases the food portions are going to be big especially at restaurants.

    • @ntandoikemba6769
      @ntandoikemba6769  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Out of all you’ve said, the sugar part is one that I regret not adding. Every sauce used to marinate has added sugar, bread has added sugar, even vegetables like sweet potatoes are extra sweet. It’s difficult to maneuver without coming across added sugar. I pray to God that our daughter doesn’t fall into the bad eating trap because it’s everywhere unless you go organic which I’m not trusting as well. Thank you Mandisa

My mom didn’t really have us eating so bad as children because she was adamant about not compromising out immune systems so she didn’t miss work. Welcome to America. Moved here when I was 9 from East Africa and its very different. First and most importantly is you are now "Black". You are no longer just a person, but you are constantly reminded about your Ethnicity. In Africa you may have been Zulu, Xhosa or whatever tribal affiliation you belong to. In America, they do not know or care about that. You are Black. Secondly, you notice people pay way too much attention to the way you speak, rather than what you are speaking about. In some extreme cases, Americans will ask you to repeat yourself because they did not understand you, even though you are speaking English. Anyways, all the best. Stay focused. Don't get caught up in the stereotype. Remember African immigrants do very well in America and become highly successful, because of our mindset..

      The American system steers black immigrants to be successful as a means to spite the local black population it has nothing to do with our mindsets hence why we’ve managed to destroy a whole continent and decide to runaway

    • @Dan13Speed
      @Dan13Speed 2 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @@lifeandtimesofsazi3192 You can have whatever opinion about this matter, but there are clearly certain behavioral issues that will continue to afflict our brothers in the African American Community if you could allow me to mention a few of them here: 1. Health - You have lost the concept of healthy eating. Our ancestors had a rich diet of electric foods, which you seem to give a fancy name of organic. The food sold in the black community is poison. It leads to obesity, diabetes and heart disease. How do you save any money when your loved ones are constantly in the hospital surfing from dietary health issues. 2. Over consumerism - If African American s were a country it would be in the G7 because this community has a GDP of over $1-2 trillion. In Georgia where I live the black economy is 25% -30% of Georgia’s GDP. Every major company in America knows this, however black people don’t see the power they hold in their hands and are constantly spending their dollars with people who don’t care about their well being. Going to the mall and buying up more than is needed. If you can reduce the over consumerism and invest that money within the black community there is no reason why Black America cannot be an economic power house in a decade or two. 3. Weaponization if the law: Too often do I see my African American friends in huge trouble because the law has been weaponized against you. If you have an argument with your spouse, calling 911 is as good as destroying your life,because the system will not solve your dispute it will criminalize you instead, destroying families and communities. This idea that I can raise my kids by my self is European Ignorance. You need the man in the home and you also need the community involved in the well being of our children.
      These are the mindsets I am talking about. Not some social program directed at immigrants. That is a myth. Every immigrant who comes to America signs a contract with the Government saying they will not be a public charge. For your Visa to be approved you need to have someone, a friend or relative fill out an affidavit of support saying that if you get into financial trouble they will Help you, not the government. So this is why you do not see immigrants at the welfare office.
      Again these are the mindsets I am talking about.
      Many times you see African Immigrants doing the worst jobs in America, because we face double discrimination, but collectively as a community you find that Mum who cleans toilets has $5000 or $6000 in her savings account, that factory worker has $10000 in savings. He is sending money to Africa to invest and help his family etc. Africans send $50 billion to $100 billion home to Africa from Abroad each year. That is from all the sacrifices we make here in America, Canada, Europe, Asia or Australia.
      That is the mindset I am talking about.

    • @lifeandtimesofsazi3192
      @lifeandtimesofsazi3192 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Dan13Speed I get that then why not imply these systems and morales here back home, you talking about how FBAs have poor diets yet we have low life expectancy’s here in Africa yet Africa has the most fertile untouched land globally And don’t say it’s the government being corrupt because all that governments reflects is the current society that we have at our disposal. If the government is fucked up it always boils down to the society in which we inhabit being fucked up as well. Americans have gone through so much bro, from slavery, Jim Crow laws mass incarceration, bro it’s a lot all these are recent, for instance a 50+ year old American black person alive today probably had a great great parent who lived through slavery. These people haven’t healed yet the last thing they need is us talking down on their lifestyles

      The American lifestyle is sedentary. Other countries get regular activity and excercise which can help prevent depression. People also lack regular interactions with family and friends. Caught in the rat race (work, family, work, sleep, repeat).
      Oh and everything varies from state to state. New Jersey does not allow you to pump your own gas. Americans experience culture shock too when visiting other states.

    DST is a weird one, the advancement of the clock is a crazy way of taking advantage of the daylight and all. There's quite a few countries that practice DST. Why are they just not choosing one standard time instead of complicating things. One country observing different time zones. Good vid

    • @ntandoikemba6769
      @ntandoikemba6769  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Q. I think it works in everyone’s favor so that everyone can take advantage of daylight as you mentioned earlier. Also I think it’s the same thing within the country because it’s huge. Different states are literally like different countries just combined. I’m just still amazed by the concept of ‘shifting time’ backwards and forwards.

    Cape Town suburbs also don’t have Fences/Walls, similar to American Suburbs. In fact most towns in the Western Cape have that fenceless look in the suburbs . Gauteng is the problem when it comes to Giant walls and electrical fences. The cost of living here is more relaxed than in large cities, but America has built an infrastructure that allows goods and services to expand easily to rural areas! And stress levels are much lower than in urban areas! Don't be afraid to explore the expanse and variety of America and its muriad of people and geograghy. I think that the experience will be helpful in your understanding!

    This is how the O'mas put babies to sleep (that like to stay awake). First from the time they wake up in the morning, NO NAPS. Even if they get cranky no naps for about a week or two to reset the sleep pattern. When they are awake you must remove the excess energy with play. Play with them physically all day. Teach them how to play by themselves during this time too. This will make you tired but remember it is temporary. Keep a regular schedule. If your schedule is all over the place, this may not work well for baby's inner clock. Next, about an hour after their last meal for the night, give them a bath in "Sleepy time" baby wash. Then rub them down really well with baby oil. Warm up some socks and put them on their feet. This will help to release any hidden gases that you didn't get with burping. OH and pay attention, take a few days to just watch your baby. You may find that they are light or sound sensitive. If they are either, you'll have to adjust a few things in your home. I won't say the last thing they used to do because I don't want to go to jail. Also it's not necessary.
