I always tell people America is for working. Then you take the money, and go vacay in other countries. And it's lonely m. So hard. The only thing that makes it worth it is the ability to provide for your family
I am a Black American who has lived in four other countries and visited a considerable number more. I would say on average, the United States is more organized, efficient and does in fact have more freedoms and economic opportunities than many places in the world. Despite many perceptions, I would even say on average it is even more generally accepting of diversity than many places in the world, despite the challenges of racism, sexism, religious discrimination, etc. that remain issues in the country. There is a lot of great things about the United States and I will never talk like it is a terrible place to live or has nothing for anyone. Like everywhere in the world, there are pros and cons. However I do find myself preferring many other countries on a general social level and general love of life level. To make US dollars in a country outside of the US is often a dream life for those who have traveled a lot abroad. In my experience, many foreigners who have never traveled to the United States, especially those in developing countries, tend to adopt a romanticized view of the States. I have many friends from other countries and I often notice that even their relatives in their home countries constantly ask them for money assuming they are living a massively prosperous life in the US even if they are told the opposite by that person and they assume if the person isn’t sending them money, it is because they are being greedy or stingy, not because the person is struggling to make it themselves. Although no one ever said life would be easy in the United States, many people still adopt the notion that everyone in the United States has not just a job, but a well paying job with plenty of free time for social settings and everyone owns a big house and a nice car. That just because the country itself is prosperous that everyone living within it must also be prosperous. Many people also forget that when the reputation of opportunity and economic prosperity was first garnered, the US population was much smaller than it is today and had more opportunities for immigrants of previous generations and more economic opportunities for upward mobility in general. The US population is enormous now and has grown by more than 70 million people in 30 years, literally one generation. I think that also creates more competition for well paying jobs, living space, etc. for such rapid growth in a relatively short amount of time. Sadly, not all jobs are well paying and we live in a capitalist society. On top of this, many jobs have disappeared through automation and technology, not to mention inflation the diminishes the value of the dollars that are earned. There are many factors. But agreed, the US is not an easy place to live. To be honest, I am not sure anywhere is.
Thank you for this thoughtful response. As a a Mixed Ethnicity Latino and Cameroonian of American upbringing, I find that, as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community that loneliness is a scourge in the USA that is near difficult to avoid. I have found greater opportunities in London and Europe for partnered living within aforementioned communities. Atlanta and San Francisco are likely places where I might be better accepted. Not sure how affordable they are for the common person.
Life is so short, so difficult. If you make enough money to survive and you are surrounded by familly and friends…forget about America. America and the American dream is not what you think. She is right about everything she said. Good video !
As someone in there 20s here the in US, I can concur that the American dream isn't all that. I feel very disenchanted with expectation to just chase degrees and titles for my whole life, it sounds exhausting. I'm very grateful for my position in life but the US work culture isn't very healthy for many people and I can only imagine what it'd be like as an immigrant.
I want to say THANKYOU for being so honest. I left the US and came back home, north of africa , I loved the US I really did, a democracy and very friendly country, but I found my self economically struggling, I was constantly comparing with how it was back in my country. Most people do not have the courage to come back, I did, all my friends and neighbors and relatives think that I am silly , they wont understand. Thank you Ma'm for being so honest . Viva Africa.
I spent 8 years in Europe Sweden and Italy and 7 years USA Baltimore Maryland and Minneapolis Minnesota. I left for good without dream of going back to western countries ever again. I'm better and doing well in East Africa
@@aliyousuf8697 The West is a scam. People in the West are working hard for their whole life to afford what we in developing countries already have. For example in my country Jamaica most people live in homes that are fully paid for and the property taxes are only $100 USD per year. In the USA you can never fully own your home because the property taxes are so high that if you pay off your mortgage you can still lose your home if you can't afford the high taxes.
This is 100% accurate. We are workaholics, in huge debt, and never have free time. We are lonely and depressed. We don't keep in close contact with family and friends because we are so busy working. We work 40hrs a week plus overtime and spend 2 hours commuting in traffic each day. We often have 2nd jobs, and our spouses work as well. Our children begin working at 16-18. This is primarily to afford our cars and student loans. Owning a car is mandatory and we are addicted to our cars. Public transportation is not practical except in New York City. We are rule followers. Read the signs. Obey traffic rules. Wait your turn. Do not cut in line! If you break rules, it is so offensive that you will be attacked verbally by any average citizen, and this can escalate to physical violence very quickly. We are obsessed with personal space and privacy. Please don't stand too close when speaking. Do not make physical contact unless you are invited (it's considered very intimate). If you approach a stranger in a public place, you will be greeted with suspicion. We guard our children with ferocity so do not approach them unless we know you. Also, please be aware of your eyes. Staring or making excessive eye contact is considered invasive. It is uncommon in the US to smoke now. Smoking indoors is against the law. If you smoke outdoors, others in the vicinity will be deeply offended by the smell. Tip your wait staff. Employers give them low or no wage because it is expected that customers give tips. We love our pets. If we are walking a dog, you may approach and pet the dog, speak to the dog, easier than approaching the person. This is a great way to make friends. The only other option to make friends is with your coworkers. We have the best food! She must be talking about fast food. Avoid fast food or you will get fat as she said. Also, be wary of our huge food portions. Americans love our versions of Mexican, Italian, Indian, Mediterranean, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese restaurants. They are not authentic but they are quite good. Americans in many regions are very suspicious of foreign languages and cultures. Learning perfect English is crucial. If you have a foreign accent, you will be fine in areas where there are many others with the same accent. Big cities are more accepting of foreigners. But outside of those areas you will always be treated as an outsider. The same can be said with styles of dress. Americans are comfortable with conformity. Many Americans are open-minded but if you are foreign to them then you will have to overcome that first. The USA is huge and diverse, so what may be a useful generalization of people in one region may be the opposite of those in another.
@@AkotTV1 He obviously lives in a city. I live in a very unpopulated area and in rural America. It's a different world here everyone waves at everybody and people talk to everyone. I haven't been to cities but I've heard they're brutal. But we still work!
I’m from East Africa, moved to America in 2016 and I’m here telling y’ll everything she said is true 100%. Depression is real and overworking like a freaking donkey 16hr everyday 6 days a week. And this country isn’t safe at all everyone has gun, some people are rude and loneliness OMG it will kill you. Getting proper documents like a green card it can take years years. Be careful grass isn’t always green on the other side.
spoken like someone who`s experienced it.I always tell people, if you have something doing in Africa, pls stay there because you might go for green grass only to find you are nt even able to pay for a flight once every 3 years to go home because with 3 jobs, even your vacations are scattered. Been there, I now choose a very simple, cheap and livable life.
Very overrated country, working hard af to pay crazy medical bills or bail bond, some ppl are very nice while others are white supremacists. Biggest mistake I made was to go there and try to raise a family, heartless society
Akot you are so hilarious but all you’ve said is absolutely true. The only thing keeping me from going insane in this country is that I have given myself a timeline. I’m investing back home in Kenya 🇰🇪 so that I can go back. There’s no American dream no matter who you are. We’re all on a wheel like mice running ahead of our debts while we’re sleep deprived, lonely and depressed.
@@AkotTV1 I’m glad someone’s telling the truth about this place but it’s not America it’s US. Do you want me to show u the difference between America and the US citizens?
Anyone who goes to America will face difficulty at first, however as time lapses you get skills and you face the bills and life becomes good. If you go to New York city don't rent house in Manhattan it will be so expensive for immigrants just rent in Brooklyn or queens it's affordable. As time lapses and you got experience then you shift. Kindly advice them as with time not just you come today and tomorrow you become rich it takes time and you learn
I'm a born-and-bred American, and gradually became aware of how overworked Americans are. And, yet, it's also hard for many to get work. It seems that one either has too much work or too little. Too much stress from overwork or from not having enough work (and therefore not earning enough).
Aaawww wow Wydia, nice to meet you and your comment means a lot to me. I read FBA and I was like oooops am I under arrest or what😅. Thank you for watching dear
it has been my 3rd day in USA, i came through DV lottery but these three days have passed like 3 decades, may be it is because i am not familiar with the environment. the greatest sadness i have is the job and a life i had back in my country, it was not luxurious but i had family, friend, relatives a car and a job that i might never be able to find in America. i have listened to your video and it made me heart broken and scared.
Oh my God, listen, your story is going to be beautiful my love. I promise you okay so no worries, settle in, find a job and you will be fine. Forget about home now and embrace your new life. You will be fine and if you ever need to talk, I'll be hear. So now, rest easy and enjoy America 🇺🇸 🥰
I can feel your emotions. I came to USA on 12th of june on spousal visa category IR1. Most of the time i think that how will i spend my whole life this way. I have started experiencing loneliness. 😔
I came to American 14 years ago and being an immigrant is not easy. You have to adopt yourself to another mindset,be strong, resilient, sacrifices, have determination, purpose and faith. Mostly you gonna be on your own and you need to understand that you are the one who is responsible for your own life! Life is hard sometimes but it also can be beautiful!
I am a Black American, and it’s very interesting to hear how people from other countries perceive America. I have a good life here, but in order to have a good quality of life, you have to know how to hustle and you have to know how to choose where to live. And if you want a relatively peaceful life, you have to be able to AFFORD it. That is hard to do in this country. If you have a decent career that is in high demand here, you could make it. But I feel like everyday I am ducking a dodging from the next school shooting or crazy political situation here. I applaud people who uproot their entire lives to move to a new country…especially to somewhere like America. It’s difficult, but not impossible. I’ve lived in Bermuda as a little girl, so I had some experience outside of the States. I miss Bermuda sooo much! But while the Island life IS paradise, it has its disadvantages as well. At the end of the day, no place is perfect, but you just have to figure out which country is the right fit for YOU.❤
Most of these people come from socialized countries this is why they can't cut it here. Thee government can't and won't save you. You have to do it on your own this is why I'm so proud to be a Foundation Black American.
@@jay1970 I don't know what people you are referring to, but as for ME, I believe it to mean working hard; making sure you have a decent job to make a decent living. Don't make this out to be something it is not.
I left my home country when I was only 20 to live the "American dream" I aways dreamed of living in the US. Today, 6 years later I'm here. Depressed. I have many things to be grateful for, this opportunity has changed me forever, but I rather consume less things, and collect more memories. The average American mindset is the rat race mindset, while there's nothing wrong with that. The way this dream is sold worldwide is like if it should be the one and only dream the entire world should strive for, when in reality this is not true. For everything we do there'll always be duality, the positive and negative. We just need to be honest with ourselves, be proud of everything we have done to accomplish our goals. But the most important: if your dream is to have a degree, get married, have kids, cars and a nice house to call yours, cool go for it! just dont push this dream or criticize others for not desiring the same dream. If your dream is also, living in a farm, collecting berries, helping others, cool! dont compare yourself to others collecting material stuff. Your dream is just as important as anyone else. When we die, we dont bring nothing of the material stuff with us. We only live once, and while this might sound cliche, it is the truth. This current system we live in, sucks. Everything is shaped in a way to have you always trapped, loans, debt and all that stuff. We need to be smart, play the game, save. Have discipline, but don't fall for the trap.
@@AkotTV1 long story short: it feels like I left my country to reclaim my real identity in what it’s considered a “first world country” Now all I want to do is educate myself about my country, our political history, my people and ways I can help myself and the children that come from where I’m . If money wasn’t the norm, I wish our people were educating themselves about planting their own food and about our ancestors. We are crumbs of capitalism and should change our mindset about it.
@@estherotieno9709too much work kills you before your time, life isn’t all about work and die. Look smart, work harder for sometime then start creating a financial freedom, and financial freedom is in businesses and investments not in a job..
All the issues you said there are solutions for them. That’s what life is all about you face hurdles and then you overcome them. Stay positive God has your back you just have to make the first positive move.
My entire family has been waiting to migrate to the US under family preference visa category for 16 years. Many plans were changed, dreams given up, money wasted just to get visa and still we have to wait 2-3 years. I always try to explain my parents that we’re good in our homeland and It’s not that there are gold treasures hidden in the US and all we do is just dig earth, collect it and become rich. We need to struggle 3x than we do here. Also, when you have elderly members and aging parents, they need to be ensured regular healthcare but in the US, let’s not talk about medical costs. So yeah, trying to keep firm on my own beliefs and thinking to get degree from the US, work somewhere else and live minimally. Luxury is not a parameter to bring happiness in life. Thank you for sharing this video with us. God bless you
Unknown they need to be patient immmigration laws became more strict now and if it’s only wife and kids get vidas faster but other than that it’s long but there are getting closer and yes it’s not easy here and don’t give everting easy let them work for it don’t put everything in a silver platter when they get here because they will not appreciate yu believe yu just tell them to google everything and let them figure it out we all think I’m going to America and be rich no way it can be done but first yu struggles like everyone yes it’s all true Yu gotto look at everything good and bad too
Yes minimalist it’s happiness the lees yu have to worry about I’m happy yu are working on a degree and save save money for your future what country are yu from
that's why Africans from stable peaceful countries like me (Zambian) invest back home cause while we have peace and stability we can't eat it. A house I'm building in Zambia could cost me AU$2,500,000 to buy in Australia while in Zambia it'll cost me AU$120,000 to build
@@AkotTV1 roofing all done now waiting for electricity to be connected and water to be drilled (borehole) you can google "chilanga Zambia farms" to see the area I'm building in it's peaceful
I was always petrified about running off to foriegn country. Will I make friends? Will I get a job? Will I get medical support? How hard will I have to work? I hate slaving away just for another man's legacy. I love my free time where I can rest and do stuff I love that make my life worth living. Earninhg all the money in the world and not being able to enjoy your life until you are old make absolutely no sense to me. And with so many unemployed people in america; the workload could be shared. I just feel that America is a cold place. And it lacks love. I see children taking there parents legacy and sending them to home for old people. And the system allows that.
Very true what you have said, but I have also seen people who have overcome all that you have said. They work one job, they come to their native country like almost every year. They have built strong networks of their fellow countrymen. One thing Akot for sure better to be in a place where they are opportunities to work than be in a place where to get a job is not easy. I imagine one hustling all these years until you are in your 40's just because the system doesn't favour you, applying for jobs and another one is taken because you do not know anybody. That is why many people go there and work, because when you remember where you have come from, and others are wishing for that opportunity then you will be grateful. so long as you are investing that money..you can decide to work for five years and then return back to your country and invest more. Thank you again for highlighting those points.
I totally agree with you. Better to be in a country where there are resources and jobs in plenty, you work your time, make huge investments then retire in peace. In some of our countries, you retire while still looking for a job. Very sad affair
You are absolutely correct. Most times we murmur and complain for the wrong reasons. In Africa, no jobs because the rich politicians make these jobs avaliable for their relatives and friends. Make your money and go and invest elsewhere
100% true...In America you need a mental shift and physical adaptability- or resilience (easily said than done). For most Americans this is the life they know, so it's easier for them, but for the rest of us we must keep learning the new way of life, while making ends meet, and managing our emotional needs. To get to America, you've already made tremendous sacrifices, which makes going back home not an option. Always remember why you came here and focus on that. It's a great country for all those who can adapt. I'd rather work, and work to provide for my family than live idle and broke. I'd advise all of you to make saving/investing necessary so you can catch a break in your old age. Cheers!
Yes, America is all we know. I think of the possibility of moving to other countries all of the time, but I just don't think I could handle it, due to all of the privileges I get here in America. I'm spoiled, and don't know if I could truly live anywhere else, because of all that I have here. But who knows? 🤷🏽♀ Perhaps I could find a country that would give me a decent life that I would enjoy. The jury's still out on that one. lol
I’m born and raised in America and I’ve thought about leaving the country these last couple of years. I don’t know maybe I’m wrong but I’ve worked as a machinist for 20 years and quality of life keeps going down because of inflation and enormous healthcare costs.
I thought KEZIA was playing when she said girrrrl rather go to Canada then my Country.. She's been here in SA for 4 years now. Really the movies and shit been making me wanna go there. But now that I'm hearing this maaaaan i don't know what to decide really.

I'm an American and she is right!! All you do is work and good luck saving anything- your going to spend everything you make on rent! Most Americans have less than $300 in their savings and less people than that have no money in case of an emergency.
Hello sister I didn't know how hard America was until a sister from Togo was complaining how hard it is here and for the first time my eyes opened. I'm FBA and we are taught young and prepared to work and true there are many jobs here I actually work 2
@Sojourner Truth, America is generally not easy but I like it for the many available opportunities. There are jobs people can take up as opposed to some of our African countries where even graduates are hawkers. At the end of the day, it goes back to our attitude and how we want to take like. Nice meeting you
No specific one really, because there are lots of investment plans and strategies littered all over the internet today, for instance, investments like real estates, gold, drop shipping crypto currency and lots more
Very true… I am a new immigrant and was driving comfortably in Kenya. I haven’t started driving in America yet but I see how traffic works here, it’s crazy 😅
@00:13 "idk which is worst between not finding a job and dying of hunger or working a job until you die"😂I feel you Lived in Canada for 5 years had only 15 days off, went back to France I have 45 days!
Akot, we are in the fallen world. There are problems every where. It's just different kinds of problems. Most of what you are talking about, is about character. If you think that going to America is a way to get away with mediocrity and lack of character, you are in a wrong place. Hard work, outstanding character and dedication is the key to survive.
Thank Ronnah for this good reasoning it’s only our character that keeps us to lag behind . I believe in ur point so guys work on yourselves before trying to abroad
Life is great for some and bad for some. Opportunities, advantages, and disadvantage is very wide. These happens to people of all colors and religions. Born here and immigrants can succeed or fail. Freedom and opportunity doesn’t mean easy. Making your own decisions has a large effect.
Now alot of y’all are seeing that the so-called “American Dream” for immature is a nightmare. It should be humbling and make you appreciate Black Americans more. All the best to those moving forward.
I'm an American and the only way you will truly get ahead is if you OWN your business.. That's only if you're business succeeds.. At this point- even the Americans are miserable and want to leave!! Maybe we should trade countries?
I'm not Black, but I definitely stand with you on this topic. I don't think it's worth living there. Also, you forgot to mention about the guns, LBTQ+ and much more.
Hi there! For this reason I choose Brazil to the States , here is more freedom and you have left some time to have fun ! Good video! Good luck and everything for the best !🙏🙏🙏
What you are saying is absolutely true as a black woman born and raised in the USA. It is horrible. The government really doesn’t care and you just work. It’s so bad where other people have to raise your children because you do not have the time. There is no work life balance only work. Everything goes up and they only pay you enough to pay your bills. You have nothing left. We have bad food etc… I have decided to move to a different country because after 37 years the USA is not for me I want a piece of mind. Thanks for sharing your experience Queen.
Some struggles are not good. I got depression, anxiety and panic attack as a result of overworking myself while studying masters and at the same time providing at home. If people are told, too much of something is dangerous, they think it is a joke.
Great video. If you haven't you need to do a part 2 to talk about all the social stuff that makes life difficult too. Like trying to find a partner or other Africans not being supportive or the violence in the city and prejudice. People need to understand life in America can provide opportunities but it will not be easy. It will take physical and mental strength and time.before they can truly experience the life the dreamed of in America .
One thing I've noticed about immigrants living in the U.S.A (both citizens and non-citizens) is this phrase, "In the U.S.A, you'll work until death or you'll work throughout your entire life & pay bills till your last breath". And here are my own questions to immigrants, in your own home country, "Was there ever a time you were told you'll stop working?"/"Were you ever told that work-life has expiration apart from 'death'?". More questions, did you think you were just going to enter America and start earning money like the president of the U.S? Did you think you'll enter America, be employed right away and start making millions of dollars through a white collar job? Did you think America was made for immigrants to come in and just start living their lives on a bed of roses? Don't you want to ever go through pains before reaping the rewards of your hard labour? Where would the joy of travelling come from if you don't have a story of how tough life was and in the end, God saw you through? Do you just like making this kind of videos for the world to see that you're now in America just for the sake of being there? Why can't you thank the Lord God Almighty for the gift of life and sustenance to be in a nation that's developed and you'll eventually be more than a conqueror at the end of the road? Finally, side note, I'm an African and I'm not living in the U.S.A but one thing is sure, wheresoever I find myself and still breathing, I will always look up to the heavens for God's love, mercy, grace, strength, patience and hope. I'll never be ungrateful to the Lord for everything He provides. There are better videos to do. And for any immigrant who'll comment and say I don't know what I'm talking about, well, all I'll tell you is; keep it up thinking, believing and affirming this mentality, we will all receive our rewards at the end of the road.
@@AkotTV1 Thanks. Just that a lot goes through my mind whenever I hear (new) immigrants speak about their experiences in North America, Western Europe, Australia & New Zealand.
Yah for sure, my cousin did Pharmacy, when he went he started afresh!!!.. But I think this happens in Kenya as well coz of different educational systems ama?..
Yeah that's correct, but he could have requested for credit transfers. That's why you can do a degree in Kenya and go for masters anywhere else in the world. So the different country will just orient you to their system but you don't start from zero
I am indigenous to the continent of America, born in North America it is difficult for all people of color in the U.S none of us have time to breath and live. The wages are too low in comparison to rent prices, food prices, healthcare etc. The National federal minimum wage is only $7.25 an hr some states will pay more between $10-$15 an hour BUT do not see that as a lot of money because taxes will be taking out reducing that amount and bills, bills, bills. Come to the U.S work, save money and go back home and enjoy your life. If you have a degree from a non European country you will end up cleaning toilets because your degree is not respected here. DO NOT fantasize about the U.S because poverty, homelessness, crime and racism exist everyday here. Do not assume that Americans are lazy, we are simply tired of working for slave wages and being mistreated.
So in America is all about working hard to get money to pay bills then money finish you go back working again at the end of the day no any saving, full of depression, when emergency happens like being bereaved with your loved ones in your home country, you can not even go, as no money to pay for the airtickets. And when you go back to your home country no anything to show while they have high expectations that you came from America. It is just like zero sum game right?
As a foreigner, i met a lot of Americans, and they told me that the American society suffering from individualism and selfishness, no social life and with massive lack of friendship and human values. 😢
The reason America is like this is because it’s the fittest and best from all over the world competing against each other here. Even the people who came as refugees are some of the best their country has to offer-Do you see what many go through just to get here? No wonder they work so hard here. It’s a competition of the brightest people from all over world, including you who posted this video. It is bound to be arduous, lonesome and tiring. You will succeed in America. Take care of yourself.
Yes, she's speaking the truth...I'm American and have been in America all of my life up until 2 years ago I moved to Gambia. I don't think I'll ever regret it!
Thanks so much for sharing, I consider myself very lucky living in Switzerland and the decisions I took after being here for over 25 years. I made a conscious decision to minimize my lifestyle, this was after working just to pay the bills for things I did not need. So now I work 16 hours a week (YES 16 HOURS A WEEK)I don`t buy because a friend bought,I don`t do because friends are doing, I budget tightly and live on minimum wage but I do not miss out. This was after accepting that I`d drop dead if I kept going at the rate I was, working 45 hours a week just to survive. For the first time since I arrived in Europe, I'm happy living on minimum wage because im alive and living, when I was making more money than my whole village folks could use in a month,I was walking asleep. I really appreciate your honesty and stating facts that many people in the diaspora choose to hide, and have subscribed

My friend's son "made it" here in the US, he was born here. He worked in the financial district. He never saw his wife or children, commuted 2 hours one way so he could live in a big house with servants. He was 52 when he dropped dead walking by his pool of a heart attack. Not worth it!
By the way, America is a wonderful place, I love the country and just like any other country, it has its own challenges. I mean, I would rather work all the time than have nothing to do and broke
I’ve lived in Canada my whole life. Average for tipping is 15% minimum. Anything less, i feel like a server would be insulted. A full meal at a fast food chain is about 15-23 dollars
USD 23 for fast food? One thing that scares with abroad isn't work, but maintaining a healthy lifestyle in terms of food and adequate rest. I can't imagine leaving our African traditional organic food for fast foods, and sleeping less than 6 hours at minimum.
100% this! This is something I would tell everyone about how our lives should not require so much work just to be able to get basic necessities. Housing is not considered a human right here. Everything is for profit and when basic necessities are for profit people will lose out on those things. And yes the loneliness is real! In part that’s because of the capitalist work system where everyone is everyone’s competition or at least that’s how we are taught to see others. Also the hyper individualistic culture makes people not want to help their fellow humans and they think that’s normal. On top of all that people here genuinely believe this is how should be…so yeah it’s definitely easy to get depressed. I know I struggle with that. Thanks for making this honest video!
I don't know what people expect when they decide to come to the US. I don't know who or what they are listening to but this country ain't all that, not anymore. The US is struggling like so many other countries these days. The saying the grass is greener on the other side ...thats because they water it. People need to come together in their countries and make them better not pick up and leave.
The thing that scares me the most about America is how easily accessible guns are 😢like what we see making the news, someone just deciding to go ands shoot 🔫 at kids in a school. 😮 But i also think all countries have their highs and lows. I just love my country South Africa and i dont see myself liv8ng anywhere else. (Black American or African American in Arizona) Good video sister. I haven't been to Africa yet, but I'm interested in moving there. My African ancestry on my mom's side traces me to Ghana of the Akan group. I haven't done my dad's side yet but it will probably trace me to Nigeria or Benin Togo,... I'm guessing that from another test that I took. As a Black American I think that we try to help our black Continental African family, by trying to inform them, how America really is, but I think they don't really listen to us. I'm glad you made this video to help make people in Africa aware of what it's really like living in America. When it comes to work, you are right, there's no real brakes and they're going to work you until you are old or dead.
@@AkotTV1 Look at the video on Arizona, I'm not sure you would like it here, it gets really hot, during the summer. I live in "Phoenix" Arizona. When it comes to our continental black African family coming to America. I think, they should come to America and make ALL the money they can, so, they can buy land in Africa and build a home, and start a business. Actually maybe start two or three businesses in Africa, that will employ the people. That way, you can have a income of money, and also you're able to rest when you want to. Like I said earlier, I'm interested in moving to Africa, but it's not easy, America keeps people down financially with all the bills. I'm so glad you made the video that you did. Listen, the video is good, but also get the word out, to other black continental Africans, about the racist and sabotage in America. Listen, if Africa can try to unite, and do business with neighbouring countries that would be good for Africa. Question: what part of Africa are you from?
@@AkotTV1 I've been extremely undecided on where to live in Africa. On one hand I wanted to live in Ghana because of my African ancestry test which traces me there, on the other hand I want to live in Kenya because I have been learning Swahili, also Kenya seems a little cheaper than Ghana, but Kenya seems to have strict immigration rules. There is a Black American who I met online, he moved to Kenya about 3 or 4 years ago, he married a Kenyan woman. In November, I was planning on flying out to Africa, to buy land and build me a home, Ghana has a law called the right to abode, meaning any black person in the diaspora go to Ghana and be a permanent resident, i wish kenya had this law. In Kenya I heard that it takes 7 years to get citizenship, but three years if you marry a Kenyan woman. I know some of us African-Americans have a little bit of connection to Kenya, in My DNA It also says I have some bantu. And it shows I have a small percentage of Kenyan ancestry. If I move to Africa, buy land and build a home, then I'm trying to figure out what I can do for work. Most of my work experience is being a security guard. I try to work 6 days a week. My family is aware that I'm interested in moving to Africa.
Thanks for sharing the experience but I think at the end of the day its all about Atitude ....the way you think that it is ....difficult or easy is how you look at things .
Akot thank you so much for sharing, the wise counsel you give is important for young people who are yearning to go to the promised land but find it hard to get a visa. But I'm of the opinion that cost of living in U. S is very high and the pay is low, that's why people have to do several jobs just to get by let alone save money.
Trust me if you are making good money plz don't go to America .....worst of all don't move your family there ....my sister's entire family moved to California 10 years ago this is her 2 daughters, husband, and one son. About 4 years ago she moved back despite having a good job as a manager in a store and her husband also earning well. The sad truth is people forget about the indoctrination in American public schools, her son almost mutilated his genitals in claims of feeling like a woman trust me (they call them Transgender) I don't really understand it either. All they had heard of was a large number of homosexuals in America and were mentally prepared for it. She says the scariest moment of her life was when they were called for a meeting by a counselor and asked to take the child to some type of clinic to be educated about putting the child on different hormones and maybe they would help him change to a girl coz he felt like one. she was this close to agreeing due to fear of her son becoming suicidal .... that's when the husband decided to bring them all back here to Kenya for a visit and a bit of advice from her family members. They stayed for some months and realized the son's suicidal tendencies reduced drastically. They also realized that the puberty blockers the school was suggesting they put on their son were the same drugs they give pedophiles in jails to reduce their desires. They did not go back after realizing these began their life again and now surprisingly the son is back to being a son, in fact, he is the manliest of all the nephews in the family ....we sometimes make fun of how him and he would be a woman if they didn't come home....he cant even imagine it ..trust me don't subject your children to the psychological torture of the west if you already earn well

I stumbled on this video while looking for more opportunities in the US, but I discovered alot of times people don't share this good information well, yes, the grass is not always green but America is 10x better than many countries today. With good information, you will get it right... I know people who have stayed in the UK, Canada and now in the US, majority will till you the US is far better than those other countries. As today most will tell you they own their own houses and cars already. So in as much as we make negative videos there should positive videos too of those thriving and not just negativity, if it's that bad, why don't you go back to your home country and do something different there that won't make you feel bad about America. God bless America jare ❤
Well if you are here and would rather be some place else, I suggest by all means go. There are so many other places nicer than US I wouldnt want to see you disappointed in gaining your dream.
Guys i really need your help about this matter here in Egypt i can't find proper job because i hit 32 years old although i got bachelor in Tourism. we have many problems here like: 1- Overpopulation which caused good opportunities to be rare. 2- Strict Employment Requirements Such As Age, Field of studying, Experience. 3- starting wages / Salaries are very low 100$ Per month while the needed is around 326.53$. so shall i try my hardest to leave here and go to USA or shall i stick to my country?
I always tell people America is for working. Then you take the money, and go vacay in other countries. And it's lonely m. So hard. The only thing that makes it worth it is the ability to provide for your family

@@arianzidaneofficialYou spend the money for yourself?
Wow wow I enjoyed reading this, I hope to meet you in person some day
Very well said

The West is a scam.

This is very insightful wow wow, thank you soo much for this detailed comment. Stay well 🙏

I totally agree with you, life is hard sometimes but it also can be beautiful
At the end of the day, no place is perfect, but you just have to figure out which country is the right fit for YOU.❤
What you people really mean by hustle?
Most of these people come from socialized countries this is why they can't cut it here. Thee government can't and won't save you. You have to do it on your own this is why I'm so proud to be a Foundation Black American.

I too guess it'a a matter of managing finances and avoiding luxurious expenses.

The jury's still out on that one. lol
Thumbs up. You nailed. Thank YOU for this perspective. America is a great country

Oh wow, I've read this comment twice, I like your line of thought

I made a conscious decision to minimize my lifestyle, this was after working just to pay the bills for things I did not need.

(Black American or African American in Arizona)
Good video sister.
Mmh I love you already. Thanks for watching. Come visit me in New Jersey or should I come to Arizona?
@@AkotTV1
Look at the video on Arizona, I'm not sure you would like it here, it gets really hot, during the summer.

I've been extremely undecided on where to live in Africa.

Stay positive. What you can do is travel often to mexico and relax so you can rethink how to take advantage of america
Absolutely 💯
So she came to America to take advantage of the country? That sounds rather ignorant, selfish and un American…
If you've followed me long enough, you'll realize that I always give the good and the bad about everything
Well if you are here and would rather be some place else, I suggest by all means go. There are so many other places nicer than US I wouldnt want to see you disappointed in gaining your dream.
Yeah, you right
Guys i really need your help about this matter here in Egypt i can't find proper job because i hit 32 years old although i got bachelor in Tourism.
we have many problems here like:
1- Overpopulation which caused good opportunities to be rare.
2- Strict Employment Requirements Such As Age, Field of studying, Experience.
3- starting wages / Salaries are very low 100$ Per month while the needed is around 326.53$.
so shall i try my hardest to leave here and go to USA or shall i stick to my country?
If I were you, I would try the hardest to leave, make money and start a business back home to support my people. Beat wishes
That information is exergerated.
Now I understand why most of them quit their jobs to become a content creator on TH-cam.
