I can confirm the importance of using the appropriate case gauge but I would say this ... try the resized case in the gauge BEFORE you proceed to priming, applying the powder charge and seating the projectile. It saves a ton of time if you subsequently discover that the completed round doesn't fit into the gauge afterwards.
