    Wow! 2 years later and i still use this video as a warm up for my splits :) Any tips on how to keep my hips square?

      yayyy so glad to hear :) if you're looking to keep your hip square, i would recommend prioritizing squareness over openness of your split. i'm gonna try to explain this here so hope this makes sense haha: for example, stand on one knee with your other leg out in front and keep your hips square. and then try to slowly slide into split, but only go as far as you can go with keeping your hips square. hopefully as you practice this you can go deeper and deeper into a square split, but as i said above try to prioritize being square, even if it means your split is initially not as open as you would like it to be :) hope this helps!

      @@caeelumarfor square splits take 2 yoga blocks and slowly start to slide. If your hips are squared, you should be able to bend the back leg upwards/vertical and not to the side. Your hips are supposed to be straight and the heel of the back leg needs to be almost pointing to the ceiling. If you still don’t understand, you should definitely check out Elena shinoharas video on square splits. She explained it really well and I understand it so much better now so I really recommend you to watch it it’s on TH-cam! Good luck!

      If you are talking about Hannah Martin, we are not teammates since we live in different countries and she no longer does rhythmic gymnastics, but we have collaborated on our channels so you can go check that out, it was super fun! 😊

    Not trying to be rude butI'm way to stiff for this because it didn't work I still was in the same place I was when I first got started! It could work on other people but not Me! But great try!

      Ok thanks for your feedback :) but feel free to try it out over a period of time - you wont see results after one day!
