In some ways I felt Sion was the most interesting character in this game. Should have been dead many times, held together only by pain and rage. He cannot be defeated except by convincing him to choose to die, as he's truly invincible until he chooses to end it. It's been a long time since I played this game but I sometimes still think of his words: "I can die a hundred times, exile, and still I will rise again, as strong as before."
It shows that the slightest signs of good is enough to weaken evil itself. It makes me think that those like Vitiate, Nihlus, and Sion were mortal beings once. Babies, innocent children before being destined to live their lives like this.
If I'm remembering the game correctly, he only does this if you're playing as female Exile. If you're a male, he completely despises you. I remember reading a screenshot LP that explained a ton of things about this game and it said something along the lines that if you're female, then he's in love with you, but if you're male, he hates you in a way kind of like a kid hates their sibling if their parent gives them more attention (kid = Sion, sibling = you, parent = Kreia).
Sion is one of the few Sith I empathize with. He's regretted his choices and suffered so much because of them and what they turned him into. In the end he really just wanted to finally die in peace and ultimately he did.
Sad thing about him though is that since his essence is pure dark side energy that means he can never become one with the force so his spirit will linger on in the great void which is the Star Wars equivalent of hell….
Something about him was.... Just so.... Depressing. He was not like the other two Sith. Nichilus was indeed pure hunger, no sympathy for him, but Sion was.... Surprisingly human. Actually trying to impress Kreya, and if your exile is female he loved her and wanted to spare her the agony Kreya could put her through like she did to him... And the fact that he can't die and allowed himself to be put through horrible torturous experiments and be completely broken by Kreya so she could try and make him give up the force (thing she can't do herself) is just... So sad... He's neither alive nor dead, just pure pain and jealousy. I am glad at least as a female exile you can put him to rest in a kind way, I dunno, just can't be an asshole to him, poor guy.
As a male exile you can convince him that life lived through pain is not really worth it, no matter what is gained. He himself admits this. He lives in incredible pain, and does not like it one bit. To force himself to live in such a way is essentially what breaks his will, when confronted.
Oliver Sorisho He actually wants to die in peace. To rest without the hatred in himself while at the same time proving his worth against one he considers worthy (if character is female-one he is love with).

Crowned Stag Nope. I was a guardian/weaponmaster with 600/700 (With Force Enlightment) HP and MP, max will and charisma and still got rekt two times. Then again, I had a glitch where I fought two Sions at once.
Try playing as a Guardian with Ferocity form - I remember that was what I was using during my fight against Sion, and a single Flurry was enough to beat his first stage. The other stages weren't one-shots, but they went by pretty easily as well.
Lol, I played this when I was pretty young, and was super under-leveled going into the final parts. So I had to kite around and spam mines to blow him up. XD
Oh he does but the craziest thing that happens with us is how we feel pity for traya and sion. He was a monster but he suffers as a slave to his pain and hatred. We don’t have to kill him nor do we want to. But to let go means to be at peace. Kreia made you better and after defeating her, you appreciate her wisdom and that is why I spared her in the end.
You made it look so easy I was playing as a male, but I had to run around the pillars to heal myself and attack every 30 seconds, and when I finally “killed” him he resurrected himself like 5 times and I wasn’t worried based on my dialogue options he might keep going That and the I had no idea who this character was (personality and backstory) Just like Nihilius he’s on the game cover, but appears in like 3 scenes

Interesting. I had very different dialogue. He had no interest in sparing me, he only wanted to redeem himself in the eyes of Kreia. But I was a LS male. Perhaps that has something to do with it.
It would a fantastic idea to make this game an action RPG with learning various skills and stuff, kinda like Fable/Mass effect but with better framerate and graphics. Even though the gameplay may be tiring and boring to some, the story is solid enough to be revised and reused for a remake. It would EASILY set people back into the star wars fanbase all over again.
+Jae Hong (Crestaph) Not only that but they should also restore all the cut content into the game and re-release it updated and completed. A KOTOR 1 and 2 remake by themselves would be welcome to fans but having all the restored content that was cut out would be even better.
If you explore some of the dialogue options you can cripple Scion's resolve and cause him to lose ability modifiers. I think I managed to mind frak him into losing two points to hi Wisdom or Constitution. So he suffered a serious blow to his attributes, and it stays with him the entire battle. So you can use other Jedi debuff or buff powers to give yourself the edge. I used Battle Meditation a lot and that buffs you and your allies, while debuffing all of your enemies' attributes and DC saves.
He's pretty much trying to keep you from the fate he suffered in some small part but simultaneously he hates you and drags a fight out of you to end his torment because by this stage he knows he's fucked 💪😂
It would be pretty cool to have a mod to convince Sion to join you in the last battle vs Traya if you play as a female exile since he finds her beautiful.
I got thru this fight on difficult mode. Force enlightenment is all you need. I think I used maybe 1 entire energy shield for this fight and did not lose any health

Here's a challenge. Play through all of KOTOR 2 unarmed, on Hard difficulty, only using medpacks as a heal, no force, no grenades, and no clothing. I will tell you right now, Dark Souls level difficulty. It was not fun dying to the easiest enemies lol.

I don't know about that, fam. Remember, this is a sad moment. Not just an epic one. Its a battle about beliefs. Meetra believes in the Force, but in a different way than Sion does. The exile was able to bring an ailing man to peace, it was about mercy. It's meant to show how much Surik learned from Kreia, but she applies it in a more benevolent way.

One could say that the relationship between Darth Sion and the Exile is similar in some ways to the one between Rey and Kylo Ren. After All, Kylo offered Rey to be her master, and Darth Sion wanted to Spare Meetra Surik from being Tortured and killed for Darth Traya Besides that the fact that Darth Sion was a Sith Marauder. A sith training class that is very similar to Kylo´s fightingstyle and both use the dark side to fight (When chewie wounded Kylo he embraced the pain of the wounds [hitting himself] to feed on his own pain the same way Darth Sion used his constant state of pain to summon the Dark side and keep living, Cloak of Pain i believe).
I don't think that was the intent with Kylo and Rey but Episodes 8 and 9 could always prove me wrong. Either way I doubt Abrams was paying homage to KOTOR II when writing the Force Awakens (as is painfully obvious by its New Hope worship to even care about the expanded universe)

sion seems to be quite a different person than i thought, it says he keeps himself alive with his hatred, but he is acctually warning the exile about her, he seems to be less evil than i thought
also, she wants you to create an even larger wound in the Force which would kill it, thus creating a galaxy void of the Force. Jedi and Sith would be truly extinct.
The coolest thing that made the sith and the exile opposites were that they were slaves to the force. She was able to fight without it and lived without it. Like cap with stark, take the force away from them and what is left of them?
Right now Darth Sion is my biggest bump in the road . But Darth Nihilus is my biggest worry . Because from what I have heard Darth Nihilus is really hard to take down .
lol great story even a neat battle system for its era. Reminds me of two paladins with zeal and A LOT of lifesteal dueling in diablo 2. Both just stealing each other's life until they die at the same time haha

I used a lot of Persuasion and positive statements with him, and eventually he confessed, "I hate you because you are beautiful to me. And in that weakness lies death." So sad he had to die, especially for such a sucky ending. And as interested as I am in Force Unleashed, I do hope another KOTOR game comes along. So we female Jedi can have some fun.

Billy Tz That happens when you have a game session that’s too long. I think dialogue starts skipping after like 3 hours of continuous play, someone told me it’s due to the game engine but I don’t know for sure.
Forget what i wrote under. I beat Darth Sion with jedi robe (ossus keep jedi robe) since mandalore armor restricted me use the some force powers. Tactics : First, you have to defeat him in conversation. In the fight, primarily i used force death field. Sometimes, the master scream which seemed useless. However, the most important part of this fight is defeating him knowing his weakness.You know he has problems with his eyes. So, hide when you need heal. Mostly,he can not aware of you.
This battle almost depleted my reserves of medpacks(I had to hit and run vs Kreia) although I using vespin shields one after the other. And although I had 2 well upgraded lightsabers I mostly had to rely on Force attacks since my lightsaber attacks missed most of the time. Hell, I had to use armor too since it proved more effective than the robe I usually wore. And antiForce items too. And yet, this video shows it's as simple as spamming a few autoattacks while choosing the fighting style that is good vs multiple...blaster shots!
jackdonith Sion was easy as fuck for me. I mainly spammed force attacks and my go to was the force attack that you unlocked once you were fully allied to the dark side.
I used my most powerful force attack, the one that helped me smash enemies without breaking a sweat and yet he got minimum damage. Add some force heals and my force was depleted eventually. He himself dealt tons of damage, despite upgraded armor(specifically for duels) and shields. Nihilus was far easier (well ok, I had help there by my allies for all it mattered) and the lady in the end could be dealt if using a good tactic. Hell, I defeated her without medpacks. But nothing seemed to work for me against Sion for some reason.
jackdonith Nihilius was easy for me since I took the dark route by making the blind girl sacrifice herself. Sion was easy for me due to my repetitive use of dark side powers like force choke, force lighting, etc. Traya was annoying as hell though I had a hard ass time with her.
Yeah, dark side(I was light) has stronger fighting powers and indeed I didn't make the girl sacrifice herself. Still I had no trouble with Nihilus anyway, the problem was with Sion. At first I thought Traya would be even more difficult-beign the final boss- or at least equal but then I found I could use the environment in my advantage and defeated her kinda easily. I had used similar tricks with Sion, to no avail.
jackdonith I had no problem with either Nihilus or Sion nor Traya. Force inmunity keeps you from suffering from either Traya or Nihilus drain and Sion was no problem.Only the three sabers Traya brings in the end got me good. If they surround you, you are screwed.

Download this game and install the restored content mod.. the story made so much more sense after i played it restored. Also i am dissapoint in Sion having a "classic" dark jedi AI that spams drain life when closing in on 30-40% health >.
Is your character a mod or sth or is it a glitch that there is no animation for your character model repelling Darth Sion's attacks ? It looks kind of lame that he keeps driving his lightsaber through the exile with no reaction from her. Besides that, thanks for posting this up
I remember that the fight with sion and kreia i would cheese by putting mines around and made them chase me through them years later i am like there is no glory in that so i moded kotor 1&2 so i can pass it correctly and i think Malak was the biggest challenge for me xD
It's easiest when you activate enery shield i think Varpine protype energy shield, it's best against enemies with lighsaber. I would never think about it like that, but HK-47 told me :D
agreed Unkehz0r, i would give anything to play a single player Kotor3, the story with Revan needs a conclusion. Altho I would still go buy The Force Unleashed, the physics looks very enticing.

@MrLGD123 Try playing dark side. It's ridiculously hard. I couldn't even fight Kreia face to face. I had to run away and use a dozen medpacs.

sion seems to be quite a different person than i thought, it says he keeps himself alive with his hatred, but he is acctually warning the exile about her, he seems to be less evil than i thought
also, she wants you to create an even larger wound in the Force which would kill it, thus creating a galaxy void of the Force. Jedi and Sith would be truly extinct.
The coolest thing that made the sith and the exile opposites were that they were slaves to the force. She was able to fight without it and lived without it.

Right now Darth Sion is my biggest bump in the road . But Darth Nihilus is my biggest worry . Because from what I have heard Darth Nihilus is really hard to take down .

lol great story even a neat battle system for its era. Reminds me of two paladins with zeal and A LOT of lifesteal dueling in diablo 2. Both just stealing each other's life until they die at the same time haha

It's very true (in response to Acrossthefire217). He said that to me. I used a lot of Persuasion and positive statements with him, and eventually he confessed, "I hate you because you are beautiful to me. And in that weakness lies death." So sad he had to die, especially for such a sucky ending. And as interested as I am in Force Unleashed, I do hope another KOTOR game comes along. So we female Jedi can have some fun.

Billy Tz That happens when you have a game session that’s too long. I think dialogue starts skipping after like 3 hours of continuous play, someone told me it’s due to the game engine but I don’t know for sure.

Forget what i wrote under. I beat Darth Sion with jedi robe (ossus keep jedi robe) since mandalore armor restricted me use the some force powers.
Tactics : First, you have to defeat him in conversation. In the fight, primarily i used force death field. Sometimes, the master scream which seemed useless. However, the most important part of this fight is defeating him knowing his weakness.You know he has problems with his eyes. So, hide when you need heal. Mostly,he can not aware of you.
If they wanted to keep Vader a Scotsman they should have used Sion's voice

No not even close.
This battle almost depleted my reserves of medpacks(I had to hit and run vs Kreia) although I using vespin shields one after the other. And although I had 2 well upgraded lightsabers I mostly had to rely on Force attacks since my lightsaber attacks missed most of the time. Hell, I had to use armor too since it proved more effective than the robe I usually wore. And antiForce items too. And yet, this video shows it's as simple as spamming a few autoattacks while choosing the fighting style that is good vs multiple...blaster shots!
jackdonith Sion was easy as fuck for me. I mainly spammed force attacks and my go to was the force attack that you unlocked once you were fully allied to the dark side.
I used my most powerful force attack, the one that helped me smash enemies without breaking a sweat and yet he got minimum damage. Add some force heals and my force was depleted eventually. He himself dealt tons of damage, despite upgraded armor(specifically for duels) and shields. Nihilus was far easier (well ok, I had help there by my allies for all it mattered) and the lady in the end could be dealt if using a good tactic. Hell, I defeated her without medpacks. But nothing seemed to work for me against Sion for some reason.
jackdonith Nihilius was easy for me since I took the dark route by making the blind girl
sacrifice herself. Sion was easy for me due to my repetitive use of dark side powers like force choke, force lighting, etc. Traya was annoying as hell though I had a hard ass time with her.
Yeah, dark side(I was light) has stronger fighting powers and indeed I didn't make the girl sacrifice herself. Still I had no trouble with Nihilus anyway, the problem was with Sion. At first I thought Traya would be even more difficult-beign the final boss- or at least equal but then I found I could use the environment in my advantage and defeated her kinda easily. I had used similar tricks with Sion, to no avail.

I had no problem with either Nihilus or Sion nor Traya. Force inmunity keeps you from suffering from either Traya or Nihilus drain and Sion was no problem.Only the three sabers Traya brings in the end got me good. If they surround you, you are screwed.

Is your character a mod or sth or is it a glitch that there is no animation for your character model repelling Darth Sion's attacks ? It looks kind of lame that he keeps driving his lightsaber through the exile with no reaction from her. Besides that, thanks for posting this up

I remember that the fight with sion and kreia i would cheese by putting mines around and made them chase me through them years later i am like there is no glory in that so i moded kotor 1&2 so i can pass it correctly and i think Malak was the biggest challenge for me xD

It's easiest when you activate enery shield i think Varpine protype energy shield, it's best against enemies with lighsaber. I would never think about it like that, but HK-47 told me :D
agreed Unkehz0r, i would give anything to play a single player Kotor3, the story with Revan needs a conclusion. Altho I would still go buy The Force Unleashed, the physics looks very enticing.
