I'm still using the Galaxy S8 today. I like it because it has 5.8 inch screen. This screen size is rarely found on newer cellphones nowadays.
Believe me, I just love its small form factor and the smart design it used to be those days. Yet I bought a LG G6 to put Samsung on shame by not buying its then latest device.

Kevin, you should be able to change bixby button functionality in latest update in setting. You can even define different functionality for single press or double press. It can even be disabled if you want it.

Oh my God! What's the probability!! I just have bought an S8 3 days ago. Love this phone, but the only thing I don't it's the front and back glass durability. It's very fragile and isn't cheap.

Only problem is it stopped getting Security and OS System Updates so there is that risk of it getting viruses
Only if you go on sites that put viruses and watch out for the apps that you download
wrong. when it stops getting updates, samsung said they will only provide crucial security patches. also, deivce care would take care of the viruses if you get any, and you would only get it from what gary hisgun replied.

Nope cuz s9 has ui2.5 wifi dex and screen recorder with audio but s8 dont
In reality how many people use dex? And you can get the screen recorder app.
@@unvcht5046 millions of people. And wifi dex fixes the "just cast button" issue cuz no not all tv accept cast from certain phones but wifi dex works all my tvs. Show me the screen recorder button download cuz most can't do direct audio in screen record like sansungs
I'm on an S8 since 2017 and I am not a hardcore user. I use the most common apps, taking pictures, paying with the phone, browsing, even use the Secure folder for business apps. Battery and camera wise I'd upgrade it, but there is no phone on the market which is worth the value compared to this one.
I'd say so! The plus has a bit more real estate, if you prefer larger phones... Only drawback to me was the placement of the fingerprint scanner so dammed close to the camera, but if you can get around that (and there are other security methods), you're good to go...

I like the small forehead and chin of this phone, it hides the selfie camera so well and doesn’t take away from the screen. That hole punch selfie camera they have now looks terrible
How doesn't it feel like a new phone the panel is no different to an s21 and yes i use the s8 plus and its even more powerful than the latest a series for it being a 4 year old smartphone
Agree, the s8 doesn’t even have any notch, just like any new samsung!

Personally, I would buy pixel 2 or 2 xl over this one. S8 looks better, but pixel 2 runs android 11 and has a better camera (software).
Its not worth buying because of one ui 1.0 based on android 9, and android 9 to 10 is a big upgrade not just minor like 10 to 11. Yes you can use custom os on it, but if thats the argument then a lot of old android phones is still worth it
based on hardware alone, this would be worth it to flash roms on. Only the G6 has comparable hardware. Older glass backed Samsungs would be the only thing worth flashing roms into too. This phone is worth it for people that would want a phone that performs well, has a good screen, and has a decent camera.
