Yeah, my S8 is still in Android 9 which is great thanks to the One UI and now its missing on the One UI 2.0 features that the S10 & the S9 received on the android 10 update. Wish Samsung supports their old models (up to 4gb ram) for 3 OS updates. Good thing is that Samsung still provides security updates every month for their older models hehe!

@@gtone339 They'll release one soon. I read on a few websites that they expect the S8 to receive security updates until December of this year. Mainly because the S7 just received its last security update in December of 2019

@@mason069 haha yeah, it's awesome! I love it but unfortunately I cracked the screen so I'm using it as an excuse to upgrade. The only thing I don't like about it is the curved screen wants you to touch it at the edges, and the fingerprint thing doesn't work well in my case. Maybe not all cases but my other phone moto g7 doesn't have this problem with it in the middle. On the s8 it's on the side. Other than that, I like a smaller phone like this and this is the fastest according to my research. It's def the fastest of its class. My upgrade (moto G power) won't be an upgrade in hardware. Maybe camera or something else but ram and cpu no. It's a great phone

I asked myself that same question. Then i remembered how much better the networks are in South Korea (whcih is no bigger than Ohio...) than most other countries (i.e., the US & their planned throttling) Most natives have to be pried from their older devices as a result, and it also explains why carriers get into trouble with heavy discount bundles to coax buyers. It's the network that matters, not so much the phone specs.

Yo i got a question, my father has an iPhone 8 and when he plugs his Sony headset with the dongle into the lighting port, why the fk the phone disconnects them and starts to play the music from the phone speakers? What kind of bullshit is this? Is there an setting to fix that issue or?

I have older S8. Droped it the first week cracked the screen. I even had it in a very nice leather flip open magnetic cover I got off ebay.
It's the worst curve design and there are no screen protectors that cover the edges. That's exactly where mine cracked.
I will make it work since it does have a large memory.
I did however stupidly download a App called BREAKING NEWS that major messed up my entire App pages and lost most. It took me 3 days to study how to fix.
I discovered there is a hidden storage of apps stored that held my phone corrupted. I deleted the app and all is well.
I'm now curious if I am being watched do to so many malicious apps and hackers.

I still have my s8+ and the only reason I CAN'T use it simultaneously with my S10 5G is because it's technically out-of-date on security, app, and feature updates & I can't sync both devices. Had I known it would become a paperweight after 2 years id have simply just bought an iPhone X

Read Waters I learned only recently that most burn-in on my galaxy flagships to-date were generally a result of having let countless hours of TH-cam videos run in ONLY THE TOP HALF OF THE SCREEN 🤦♂️

Ivan Carvallo the snapdragon chip in the s8+ optimizes battery life and has better multitasking management than the s9+. S9 has raw power, but that power gets wasted in RAM management and over processing of the camera. Korean carriers caught on to this and kept the s8 line at the exact same price point as the s9 series and sold both devices side by side in many electronic stores and carrier shops just before the s10 launched; putting most emphasis on features as major reasons to choose one or the other (brand new).

@@kenoaf6896 the battery on this phone is severly depleting and can't really get much done a day through a full charge. I have to charge it at least twice. It does get monthly security updates, but I doubt it would improve the battery life, so I recommend you getting an S9.
Next thing they will do is remove the charging port most likely

I have an s8+ since 2017. Not bothered about the performance, but I also have a burned display
I have an S8+ since US release and the lag isn’t as noticeable with minimized apps and animations off. It gets worse when you attempt to utilize updated apps or, as I mentioned in prior comment, you attempt to sync the S8 with an s10 series and notice the difference between updated UI.

iPhone 6s still has software support, has decent cameras, and decent battery life. And the iPhone 6s is cheaper on amazon.

S10 or S20 are crap in comparison.
Devonian Wrighton Samsung outdid themselves in terms of addressing and updating features of the s9 series, even bumped up the storage. Not to mention the reassignment of the fps and added weight of the device. But in their defense, I think they’d seen fit to downgrade most features because they were veering away from the reputation of being “Jack of all trades...master of none” in that they’re too complicated for early adopters & iOS users transitioning to Android

Ya, its the same as the S7 & the S9's battery capacity which is why it drains a lot in everyday usage once you use the device over 3 months.

@@deleon629 My S8 unit is almost 3 years old and it tends to overheat whether I keep my wifi or Mobile network on fire more than 15 mins. Hate the fact my S8 unit's battery is draining quite a lot whether it overheats.

@@gtone339 good call, even if for the sake of enhancing your day-to-day productivity. Just know that a lot of your apps and settings from the S8 are gonna be rendered incompatible when you sync the two. Learned of this when i upgraded to the S10 (5G) & was sorely disappointed. Even tempted to get an iPhone...until i played with the Galaxy Fold in a flagship store recently and noticed the price wasn't too far from the 11 Max Pro lol
