    Some Ninja Foodi's have a 2 tiered wire rack. If so Potatoes on the bottom, asparagus in the middle, and the steak on top would work perfectly.

    If you flip the rack over, you could have added the extra smaller rack on top for the asparagus.

    Just cooked with mine (Smartlid) for the first time. Roast chicken in 25 mins of cooking - amazing.
    No wonder the USA has obesity issues if that's the standard mashed potatoes! Lots of double cream, cheese AND a huge butter portion. I'd normally use a third of the cream and butter and no cheese.

    I don't cook but I just bought one for my wife for Christmas. I'm now getting excited about this because it appears that you don't have to watch over the food as much. Question (and I apologize if it's a stupid one): When you cook the steak above the already cooked mashed potatoes, why is it that the mashed potatoes don't overcook?

    • @Avionyx
      @Avionyx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The broil setting also pushes heat down from the top when using the crisp lid. The potatoes are kind of sheltered from the heat. Along with the steak juices, the potatoes stay moist. Great question!!!

    Does the frying lid get in the way and how good/bad is the inner pot? Ceremic with metal not a good combination - I'm thinking of the 2-tier rack specifically! Thanks for the review buddy

    • @Avionyx
      @Avionyx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Toria! It's a ceramic coated pot and the frying lid doesn't get in the way at all when using pressure cooker lid. But that 2 tier rack is a time saver for sure!

      The steak was still juicy, despite juices being dropped down into the potatoes which in turn that tasted very good as well.

    Think I would have popped the asparagus under the steak rack after they were removed to flip the steaks. Would have kept them nice and warm. Can't believe how much cream, butter and cheese went into that mash. Not something you could have more than a couple of times a year with all that fat in it, just rename it heart attack mash and be done with it 😂

    hi there! i just bought this pressure cooker lately, but it seems has some issue on the screen(the part shows the temperature and the time), when i use the air fryer to cook food(like tator tots or chicken ) , the screen will have some water vapor, is inside of the screen, but if just using the pressure cooker, the screen is fine, does your ninja is the same ? i have changed it for one times, but they all have the same issue, i really like this pressure cooker, but just worry the water vapor will broken the screen some day in the future, so i am thinking i should reture it or keep it?

    Water not needed on the patatoes when you pressure cooked it? Did I miss anything?

    • @Avionyx
      @Avionyx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a sensor that detects if there is no water inside when in pressure mode. Water is needed for the pressure cooker to start cooking.

    The blood of the meat doesn't drip onto the potatoes?

      Yes but it gets cooked in there. It's more fat juices than blood though.

    • @Avionyx

      Hi sorry for the very late reply but yes. First you would pressure cook it first before air frying or air broil for that crisper outer part.

      @@Avionyx Yeah...it's always a little tricky when cooking a few different items to make a meal and have everything done at the same time. I'm thinking about buying a commercial grade food heat lamp to keep food warm while waiting for other items to finish cooking. Not really a fan of the microwave to reheat but that's all I have to work with right now.
