    Some Ninja Foodi's have a 2 tiered wire rack. If so Potatoes on the bottom, asparagus in the middle, and the steak on top would work perfectly.

    Just cooked with mine (Smartlid) for the first time. Roast chicken in 25 mins of cooking - amazing.
    No wonder the USA has obesity issues if that's the standard mashed potatoes! Lots of double cream, cheese AND a huge butter portion. I'd normally use a third of the cream and butter and no cheese.

    I don't cook but I just bought one for my wife for Christmas. I'm now getting excited about this because it appears that you don't have to watch over the food as much. Question (and I apologize if it's a stupid one): When you cook the steak above the already cooked mashed potatoes, why is it that the mashed potatoes don't overcook?

    • @Avionyx
      @Avionyx  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The butter will prevent the mashed potatoes from drying. Have fun with your new Foodi!

      The broil setting also pushes heat down from the top when using the crisp lid. The potatoes are kind of sheltered from the heat. Along with the steak juices, the potatoes stay moist. Great question!!!

      Hi sorry for the very late reply but yes. First you would pressure cook it first before air frying or air broil for that crisper outer part.

      I use it every other day on average. I use it to air fry nuggets, hash browns, and hardboil eggs if anything nowadays. It definitely save time with hardboiling eggs the way I like (yellow yolk, no gray at all, 5 min pressure cook time)

    hi there! i just bought this pressure cooker lately, but it seems has some issue on the screen(the part shows the temperature and the time), when i use the air fryer to cook food(like tator tots or chicken ) , the screen will have some water vapor, is inside of the screen, but if just using the pressure cooker, the screen is fine, does your ninja is the same ? i have changed it for one times, but they all have the same issue, i really like this pressure cooker, but just worry the water vapor will broken the screen some day in the future, so i am thinking i should reture it or keep it?

      The cubed potatoes only take 1 minute to pressure cook to be soft enough to mash, but at the same time having the steaks in there as well being pressure cooked sitting on the reversible rack. When its time to return the steaks into the pot of the completed mashed potatoes, place the asparagus on the rack next to the steaks. Close the crisping lid. Select Broil and set time to 8 minutes for medium steak or 12 minutes for well done.
