      I am very satisfied with Winwing even their customer service has been good to me. Honestly, at the end of the day if a person is happy with what they have that's all that matters.

    I have a Varjo Aero VR Headset with Base Stations on the way, that will be a fun review.

    Have you thought about buying the dash kit for the Winwing MIP that Hornet SimShop makes on ETSY?

      I just looked at it. Honestly, I didn't know they made that. Definitely a future purchase, good looking out. I wonder how much it costs to have it all printed out.

    • @Datttsnake
      @Datttsnake 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @JPsTechReviews he prints it out and builds it for 580. Definitely worth it I own it, it has its own custom boot up sequence and he even makes a mock projector setup for it. Definitely we'll worth in my opinion. He has more add-ons coming out in the near future too. Just thought you'd be interested 😉

      @@Datttsnake Definitely interested and I am going to look into it. Right now I have my hands full with reviews I need to get caught up on. I have the Varjo Aero VR set with the base stations. Actually I was contacted by them last night via email about getting sponsorship from them, fingers crossed.

    Been using it for about 3 months, my force settings different than urs, I have set it to 22% (of 6Kg) force for all axis, displacment only mode set to 34%, DCS Pitch axis -12 and roll -4.

    Little correction, the ultimate F-16 base is the Realsimulator FSSB R3 Lightning or Ultra. Yes expensive, but you´ll get what you pay for and the manufactor produces in Europe instead of dark red china, plus their main buisness is building real training simulators for several NATO air forces. If someone knows what they´re doing, then it´s Realsimulator. I do have Winwing, Realsimulator and Virpil stuff. And Winwing is definately the lowest quality of all three with Realsimulator beeing the absolute top notch, using even the same materials as with real jet sticks and military grade electronics.

      I have seen and heard good things about Realsimulator. I have used Virpil and really liked their stuff and if they made their own grips I would lean that way but they don't, Winwing makes a great F-18 and F-16 joystick grip, at least I have had a lot better luck with it than Thrustmaster on the Virpil base. Anyway great chat and if you ever want to jump in a game I have a pretty fast server. My Discord jpstechreviews

      @@JPsTechReviews Winwing beeing better than TM is absolutely true. That´s for sure (also had both TM grips). Well, if you take the customer service out of the calculation, because that´s where WinWing fails. It´s not like Winwing offers bad gear, infact it is pretty good. It´s just that i would´ve expected much more from gear with such a pricetag (700€ yet alone for the throttle). I do own the Super Taurus F18 throttle (the big one wich is not produced anymore) and it came with a faulty slew-control (giving permanent input to the X-Axis when centered so i had to set a 10% deadzone), two switches failing within a year and the two throttle levers do not run 100% parallel when attached to each other. Result is a permanent rolling aircraft as you have permanently 1% more thrust on the right engine. Two of my friends have the same issue, so it´s not a faulty unit, but a faulty design. Not a big deal, as the throttle levers are pretty good ergonomics so can be used independetly without any problems. But should not be the case with high end flight sim gear. A warranty return was not an option, as the Throttle came without CE certification, wich makes it illegal to import to europe, even for individuals. If national customs checks the package, it is confiscated and you even have to pay for the destruction. Winwing solved the issue with the CE certification with their newer products, so at least this risk is not a factor anymore for european customers.
      On the other hand, i had an issue with my Realsimulator F-18 CGRH Super Hornet grip, with the trigger needing way to much force to be pressed (even while the standard trigger resistance replicates the original grip 1:1, wich is like 4 times as hard to press as the TM Hornet grip)). They started a video chat session, with their engineer solving the problem within 2 minutes. A Bonus is, that i´m now aware the resistance of the trigger can be adjusted with this grip. So it was not realy an issue with the unit, but just a too strong adjustment of the trigger when manufactured. Nothing that would break your grip. The software from Realsimulator is also outstanding and second to none. Not to talk about the fact, this grip has a built-in bluetooth module and gyro sensor, so with an attached battery pack it can be used without base like a VR controller. Or on a self made base without electronics/PC connection. And it is surprisingly accurate.
      If you´re ever willing to spend the cash for the RS stuff ( i know, it is realy very expensive), i can only highly recommend it. And their stuff rarely looses it´s value. Besides the Super Hornet grip, i do also own the F-16 SGRH SE and the base. Had the original FSSB-R3 Lighting base and switched to the Ultra when it was released. Sold the 1 year old FSSB-R3 for about 20% lower price than a new one. Was sold within a few minutes and with the Ultra beeing exactly the same price as the standard base, that was a good deal and a no-brainer to switch.
      Can only give back the favor but, according to your dialekt, you´re from the States (i guess). I´m sitting in germany (well, right now only my PC and simpit does) and i do mostly PvP. I´d take the invite to visit your DCS server, but i´m afraid the ping would be unplayable for me... :( But will check it once i´m back at my private PC.
      Oh and btw. A very good review about the base. Forgot to mention that in my first post :) Cheers sir!

      I agree that it is expensive and it depends on how realistic you want to get it to the real world. I’m close to retirement, my kids are grown and the only hobby I have is making content and building my simulator, after I get the Varjo Aero VR headset in I’m not sure what comes next because I enjoy flying DCS as much as designing ways to make it more efficient and fun.
