Hi JP. Do you still have any of these to sell or did you get rid of them all?

I think I have an idea for you to get a better angle for the WinWing throttle - if your cockpit allows for it. What if you mounted the unit so that the base was angled nose-down? I realize it may make some of the switches more difficult to use but I think it would increase the comfort and realism for how the throttle grip feels. Forgot to mention, I found this comparison extremely helpful.

at least here in EU you can get the WINWING F-16 throttle and stick for CHEAPER than the TM Viper TQS. It is ridiculous imo.

Is it possible to make certain buttons repeatdly action when held down? For instance, if you press and hold a button in SimApp Pro the light goes on once indicating a click but I'm looking for it to basically blink indicating as long as I hold down the button it will keep clicking. Hope that makes sense. Basically I use the two pinky buttons on the left throttle as mouse clicks in VR and want to be able to long hold to rotate switches instead of rapidly click.

The key to getting the HF8 software to work with DCS is. 1 install the software, check the pads work. 2 Shut the software down. 3 Run DCS. When in the cockpit alt tab out and double click the NLR software, select DCS. Alt tab back into the cockpit and it will work. Fine tune the settings to suit. That’s it. There is no need to import and export files. The two big errors that it is very easy to make- the events aren’t turned on in the DCS profile and, the next one is the biggie- loading the NLR software before starting DCS. If you do the latter it won’t run in the sim. TBH this isn’t emphasised enough in the install instructions.

Kind of a problematic comparison. Your TQS almost certainly seems broken with the throttle drooping like that and is probably why whoever sold it on eBay. You should be more up front that it’s used as your core issue is almost certainly that and you may even be missing a part to address it. I don’t know how that might address the “smoothness” bit given how it’s pretty much the same contact/friction point, I’d say you have a polluted TQS sample. Lastly, I find to hard to take seriously that you don’t mention the WinWings terrible 5 way hat in the MANRBG knob. Multiple standalone reviews, that came out before the TQS was released, mention that making the knob itself hard to use or entirely useless and that’s bad considering it’s a core F-16 HOTAS function. Maybe don’t make the normal stuff hard to access while adding whatever extras

How is the keyboard and mouse pad setup??? What you have is what I need. Would you know the make or model number and where did you get that?? I am new to dcs and it’s not easy, but truly enjoyable.

I am having a frustrating problem. I am new to dcs and bought the winwing setup, (like in the pic here) and no problem for a few days. Now my main screen is spread out across the 3 ddis. The left one is where I find my mouse to click the exit of dcs. F18 2 week trial version is what I have) Have you heard of a problem like that before? Should I uninstall Simapp Pro and reinstall/setup??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

These pedals are infinitely adjustable, you can adjust the angle by millimeters using the spherical rod ends or inches by the 3 pivot point holes. I have the VIRPIL Ace Combat pedals and they were great but these are just on a next level.

I've bought the tqs full price new. Me personally i use most of the additional buttons, dials and switches. The only thing I don't use is the lever. For zoom I use the little extra 2 way button tm added (just below dogfight/missile override switch) works very well. Never had to recalibrate anything it work well out of the box even for the f15c I didn't do recalibrate for the ab detention. The friction was also not an issue for me always stayed in place. Even when I let it go. The chaff/flare is used in either semi or auto cm mode if I am correct. personally don't use it enough as I use bypass usually. I've been using it for a few months now never regretted spending 420€ on it (equal to over 500-550$) Granted I did also buy tm warthog setup and thought it would go well together. The difference in shapes of buttons might actually be due to different block version the throttles are for. Yours are block 60 judging by the imprint not sure what the tm one is for

Have you calibrated the throttle after reinstalling firmware?

The best of the best is only what works best for you. I have reviewed lots of hardware and I like Winwing, for me it just feels right and more importantly I like the design, the original design of the F-16c and the F-18c.

Well, guess you found out you needed SAE Allens (5/32) for pedals and a #6 for others. Lucky I had a full set . But yes, quality through and through! I bought damper model in black with Cessna pedals. Yet to build the Next Level cockpit seat and deck, so these will sit if out for a time.

Who makes the damper kit you are using? And how did you attach your braket the the peddles base plate?

Did you get it to work with dcs world with high fidelity usb haptic feedback? Their website still Isn't saying dcs Isn't supported but I do have simshaker and the older gamtrix jetseat from Andre in Russia but that seat is wearing out..do you still use it? Thanks for any feedback

I was going to go for a pedal set that has been more tried and tested them a brand new product from a Chinese company but these look like they’re built so bombproof that I’m going to place an order tonight. I still think I’m going to stick with VKB for the HOTAS because there are too many stories out there about issues with the Winwings. I know a lot of people do fine with them but there’s just too many stories of faulty items and buttons.

I've got a question. Does the mounting hardware and mount come with the purchase of the mip from winwing or have you had to obtain all of that yourself? I'm considering getting a mip myself.

Good review. After months of use it's actually meaningful. I wanted Super Taurus, but it wasn't on sale when I was buying. Viper throttle also wasn't obtainable at that time. In effect I went full Virpil instead (this took four months too). One of the knobs on the base is turning a little bit odd. Other than this kink, I am a very happy guy. As for your Winwing situation, wouldn't mounting it at an angle solve your problem?

Re: plastic covers on top of toggle switches: I'm guessing Thrustmaster did that because their throttle is a licensed 1:1 replica of the A-10C throttle, and those switches in the A-10C are toggle switches with plastic caps on them: prometheus.med.utah.edu/~bwjones/wp-content/uploads/iblog/A10C%20cockpit.jpg Winwing's F-15E throttle handles have the same sort of toggle-with-cap switches, simply because they are trying to mimic the real F-15E.

For the thrustmister Add a washer in the bottom between the gray metal axis point and the plastic that holds it it inscease the friction by alot

Probably could 3d print an adapter to adjust the grip angle.

Just out of curiosity, did you try the Thrustmaster with Falcon BMS to see if the "Instant AB" issue is a throttle issue or a DCS issue?

When you wrap your hand around the stick, do you end up pressing the trigger with middle or end of your finger? I just got the f16 stick and i find i end up pressing it with middle of the finger. Which isnt very ergonomic.

I don't think Thrustmaster is better than Winwing in any way. Winwing does her job simply perfectly.

I never had the Magnect kind, but these seemed more stable, so I bought them from eBay. The reason the magnet kind didn't seem as good to buy was because it can move when a person hits the PC or while moving the PC. Well, not with this one since this one screws

I bought this a few months ago and the guide rail is now plastic. It seems okay but definitely not as nice as the aluminum one you have.

If I have a Thrustmaster yoke as well as a Winwing center stick will I be able to incorporate both for when I'm flying say a 747 using the yoke and then go to fly a Hornet using the center stick.
