Semi-canon. We don't really know, but the technology to use AI to animate suits exists in the Fallout universe, as we learned from Old World Blues. This is entirely possible.
I agree, that doesn't go with standard BOS ranking with the scribes wearing power armor, to add to the semi-canon part.. I don't mind certain mods or creations that alter events of the past or present separate to the core vanilla game, I like to think that people can easily come up with added history to fallout lore on behalf of bethesda that still could be considered canon in a plausible sense.

They were former Outcasts, so they were already familiar with T-45 armor. With T-60 being the new standard for knights, I can see the Brotherhood allowing the use of T-45 by scribes during potentially dangerous testing.

Imagine if the war never happened, they worked out all the bugs with the P.A.T.R.I.O.T, have them patrol cities, and someone asked what is it and it IMMEDIATELY gives up top secret information.
That wouldn't be a bad idea...imagine a world like fallout but it's still not destroyed and there's life everywhere but there's rogue factions like rebels,raiders etc fighting for something I don't know and you,the vault dweller or whatever,can choose how the story plays out...will you be the one who pacifies the enemy or the one who destroys it all just like in fallout games...

Jamin Busack something that bugged me about vertibirds is that Tinker Tom can fly it fine with no prior experience, and The BOS pilots who have done it for their entire lives CRASH when they attack.
Using the sentinal was one of my favorite playthroughs. Pumped up the difficulty and made my way through the game with the sentinel and Danse providing cover fire while thE PAIN TRAIN WENT CHARGING IN
I had my difficulty so high on my last play through that I couldn't get out of vault 111 and I'm not kidding those rad roaches got me good u don't even know how I feel

Instead of making the signal map-wide they should have only had the radio station come up when you got into the area just like all the other location-centered signals. That way you get the quest and radio signal only when in the general area.
If you use both mods, the creation, wear power armor yourself and then do the first mission with paladin danse you could storm arc jet with 7 sets of power armour. That just sounds amazing
i feel that it was a good choice to use pre existing robot voices due to it making sense like its a super early and experamentel thing so it would be easier to test and work on it
It was also my biggest problem with the patriot mod, if it used the voice method of this and kept everything else about it the same it would be perfect
The beginning of this video was just silly. The fact that you have to track down the signal and it gives you no indication of where it is when you're not in the middle of the map is ridiculous. The mod creator should have thought about that.
I actually prefer that. Map markers make the game feel point A to point B. No exploration that way. Id honestly prefer the signal to not even show up on the pipboy until you're close. That way it feels like a real discovery. I think for mod cover purposes it sucks for creators but for playing the game for fun the discovery is better. I like to figure things out for myself.
Sean Porcelli That's true and I can understand that completely. That's what a lot of people really enjoyed about Morrowind. This mod is 7 dollars though, and what if I don't even want to do the quest to get the items? The discoveries and the quests are fun and all, but some folks would rather get right down to business instead. Map markers would help in that regard rather than just blindly running through the Commonwealth in hopes of coming across a signal, and then tracking the signal down to its source. I digress though. A lot of the CC mods feel more like a scavenger hunt than actual quests. There are a few that are good, like the Captain Cosmos quests, but most of them just feel like you're hunting down holotapes, heading to location A, killing some quest related npc's...rinse and repeat two or three times until you finally find what you paid for.
When I used the Sentinel AI Power Armour for the first time, it actually proved its worth pretty much immediately. In terms of combat, it fights identically to Paladin Danse, in that its Power Armour pieces are indestructible and its default Laser Rifle has the same rate of fire as Danse's own Laser Rifle. Needless to say, I'm probably gonna use this thing in all of my future playthroughs.
Heres another reason to use it, theres now a mod that allows you to turn the AI off and wear it like a normal set of power armor and turn it back on to act independently again, it gives me a Iron esque vibe with it.
When I saw AI and Power Armor, I was hoping they were doing the Medic Power Armor from Fallout 3, my favorite suit of Power Armor ever made. In NV we got the Sneak Suit. I was sad there wasn't some sort of AI or speaking piece of armor in F4.
Oxhorn, if you made enemies of the BoS, you should probably think about carrying a missile launcher or the rpg mod to deal with vertibirds instead of sniping the pilot. Just a thought.
Actually rez090 I’ve found that it only takes a few shots from a fully upgraded gauss rifle at the engines to take down a vertibird. Of course I also have the rifleman stat fully upgraded.
To get the maximum amount of companions, get the Power Armor Sentinel Creation Club Mod, The other Power Armor mod he mentioned, a regular companion, a hacked robot, a wasteland creature like a Mongrel or Mutant hound, another Wasteland creature like a Radscorpion or Deathclaw, a BoS Scribe, and (idk about this) an Automatron robot that you made, for a total of 10 companions at your disposal. Maximize your firrpower to bring up a fight with the Institute, or go retake the Castle in a breeze, bring down the Prydwen in a fraction of the regular time. Fight a Legendary Chameleon Deathclaw like it's a Radroach, or just strut around the Common's with your squad. Raiders would fear tou, Preston would want to be tou, and no fight will be lost. Note that your robot and Wasteland creatures can die, as well as the Scribe and Automatron creation. Beware of sudden loss of firepower or sudden rogues at any given moment.
There is an Idle animation where your character looks at the back of their pip-boy, as well as ones where they hit it like a broken toaster and another where they hold it low and look at a blurred and frozen background

Had a rather hilarious moment involving this item. I came around from the back of the truck (I wasn't even following the signal at the moment) and just stumbled on the suits having already killed the outcasts.
Bless your heart. I looked up the general location and then ran around and around until I found the gun fight. I was nowhere near Concorde but at the castle. Still took a long time. They make you work for this Creation Club quests! And so far, it has been the only CC quest that I enjoyed.

I view the dogs as more of a “I ran across this dog.” If you buy all of them there’s like a dozen all over the place, it’s fairly easy to run into some.
You got lucky with your fight with Dawson 😂. He only had a 10 mm pistol. In my playthrough he had an explosive minigun. Also you can now make Megazord your companion when you use this creation with the rainbow power armor paints.
Chokah yeah but in his video about the rainbow power armor paints, he made one of the suits in the same color scheme as megazord, and he showed his son the power armor, so now his son calls Fallout 4 the megazord game.
Imagine what you could do with all those suits and having all of them wear xo-1 pieces of power armor, you be unstoppable. A big group of raiders giving you trouble go in there with the four suits and slaughter all the raiders.

I understand your point ox about that this isn’t entirely original. As a console player who doesn’t prefer mods this is a good option to have. I do worry though that this is would make our game a little easy having a companion and the AI power armor. If anything I would use this creation as if it was its own individual companion. Shut off the AI if I want piper or dogmeat and vice versa. Or if I want to do a role play using automatron companions and the AI this would make an interesting playthrough.
For role play purposes I see myself using this for major missions like defending/attacking a faction, assaulting Gunner's Plaza, missions where there will be a major battle, things like that. Otherwise I think it would be too easy
What i don't get is why Vasquez, Dawson, and Maria are wearing the old factory Brotherhood paint, and are wearing T-45D. I mean i like that they are in T-45D, because that is what the Brotherhood should be wearing in the first place and its the canonical standard issue suit, but still.

The Mr. Gutsy personality in a power armor reminds me of that crazy enclave drill sergeant dude in Fallout 1 or 2 named Hooligan or something like that
I would probably use all three mods, or just the creation and Kentington's mod with Danse so I can feel like I'm leading a patrol of Brotherhood Knights. Forget game balance, that would just be awesome!
If you want to ACTUALLY lead a Brotherhood patrol, look up the FCOM mod. Way it works is you get a radio, and then you have a list of 5 squads. You can pick and choose which units (Scribes, knights, palidins, etc) to assign to the squads, and then use the radio to issue commands. With the Brotherhood, you even have the option of using one of the squad slots to call in a vertibird that'll follow you around! I've been using it on my minutemen character for ages, makes securing towns a lot more fun.
A fair point. Actually, now that you mention it that's kind of a shame, since then you could have all your soldiers have custom armors based around a theme like in star wars the clone wars. Though to be fair I doubt the brotherhood'd be big on letting people customize their armor...

Maybe the reason they have T-45 instead of T-60 is because they were Outcast members. When the Outcast were reabsorbed into the brotherhood they were bared from having T-60 as a sort of punishment.
TroopperFoFo no they have t-45 because they never changed the armor on the sentinel. He said that rp'ing as technically he didn't yet know that the armor wasn't a person
As a previous comment stated, these scribes seemed to be a Brotherhood analog to experimental weapon testing brigades, and since they would be handling possibly dangerous weapons, it makes sense to equip them with old, outdated and mothballed sets of T-45 armor, so they don't lose an arm when the gun they're testing blows up in their hand. Remember; scribes aren't prohibited power armor, they just usually dont wear it. See Veronica.
When I last played FO4 , there was atleast another mod like this, but I can't remember what it was called. It was pretty similar though , it was essentially creating something and putting it in power armor frames and then you can command them and have them follow you around (can't remember if they could just fight or not) , so it was a very good way of getting power armor frames from the commonwealth back to whatever playerhome you used, which was the function I used it for.

Honestly worth the 700 credits lol its a follower who dont count as a follower so you can fly "solo" to get benifits from the wasteland wanderer perk with the power armor sentinal, or have a normal companion or robot so its a trio of death and destruction. Also the armor you give it dont break.

Ox, I've got info for you on the Sentinel CC. In survival difficulty, the armor will double over if it takes too much damage too quickly, like paladin danse might, rendering it useless for a moment or so, but it can't die, and doesn't need healing items or robot repair things.
Good quest, interesting companion, no new assets. $7.00 still grossly overpriced. I really wish they would get the prices in line with what the individual components cost in the vanilla game. I don't mind if they nickel and dime us with content as long as said content costs nickels and dimes.
Honestly I'm not TOO opposed to the creation club. There's a few things I'd like, namely one of the dogs so I can have my actual dog in game. But the actual prices are out of control. I actually considered buying a creation on sale last week, but didn't when I saw the cheapest option for credits was like $8. Give me a $5 or a $2 option and I'm sure you'll get more customers like me.

I love how at around the 4 minute mark he's in a slow motion vats battle but eventually overcomes this obstacle and then just runs up to another and shoots it and it dies immediately
The biggest problem with the Patriot mod is that it has a headles body that will leave the power armor to do things like eat and sleep when not in your party. But that also gives you the option of giving it equipment that it normally can't equip because it's in the power armor.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I noticed that if you add the vats targeting, stealth, and health field to the Sentinal, it will affect you even if you don't have on power armor.
I was a little disappointed with this creation. I was kinda hoping that you would be able to choose its attack personality. Kinda like in the automatron DLC depending on its head it will change its engagement range. It would also be nice if you could upgrade its AI and hardware. You could increase its accuracy, HP, damage resistance, the ability to unlock doors or hack terminals, etc.
I wouldve loved something way simpler. Where you can install a modification into any helmet and allows you to press R on it and toggle it moving around on and off
I like the Sentinel A.I., does it break the balance of the game? Maybe, but there are ways to work around that. You could just raise the difficulty of the game, or you can just limit the amount of companions you keep with you. Rather than having Sentinel, and Preston running with you you can just keep Sentinel only, and send it away when you want to run with someone else. Now because Sentinel doesn't qualify as a companion, lone wanderer would be active while using it. For that reason I'd be best to have it use a weaker weapon to help balance things out.
I appreciate the video Ox, I play on the PS4 and I wanna spice up my game playthroughs but I don't want my achievements disabled so I went out and bought a few of the creations you covered. I think I'll get this one whenever I got a few extra dollars to spend. It'll be cool for my Brotherhood of Steel walk through. Least till I start gaming on PC but that won't be for awhile. what realy would make the creation great would be when you leave the powerarmor, the powerarmor AI would aktivate and go in a Observing mode and defend position (like Ironmans armor is doing). so you can block an entrance with this "guard" or it give you backup when you are moveing around and looting the area to save fusioncoreenergie.
Imagine finding a power armor in the wastes. You happily open and enter the power armor. It gives you amazing strength and adequate protection as expected. After sometime you start to notice some problems. Servos sometimes jam making it a little bit difficult to move. Also it is a little difficult to get out of the armor sometimes. you chalk it up to armor needing repairs. One day while exploring the suit completely jams , making you unable to move. You try to get out of the armor to no avail. Then the suit starts walking , with you trapped inside. You are not able to do anything. The suit suddenly stops , suit's right arm rises. The elbow servo starts rotating in the opposite direction to normal. You let out a bloodcurdling scream as your arm and elbow completely shatters. Then the same thing happens with your left arm , then your right leg , then the left leg. Each time you let out screams more inhumane then the last. With all your broken limbs you are unable to do anything. You cant think straight but you fear what is about to come next. You cry in fear as the neck starts turning backwards. You keep crying and then your neck breaks. no more screams. The suit opens up , dropping your body on the ground , then closes . The suit then wanders off in the wastelands , in search of its next victims.
Problem is, if its even remotely lore friendly, there's a mod like it on FO4, FO3, FONV or even Skyrim, so its easy to just look back type a few key words and find something before it.
Lmao what do you mean 'now that oxhorn talk about it'. Everyone who plays Fallout 4 consistently has been waiting for them to do something actually good with this Creation Club ever since they announced it and people were in uproar over paid mods. The only way this creation club could be good is if it had good, full length quests with lots of cool stuff to treat these like little DLC packs rather than cash grabs. Instead we get spammed with worthless pipboy cosmetics and ugly gun paint jobs. Bethesda have mostly just proved them right about this being a cash grab. Coolest thing they made is the transdogrifier and all the dog skins, but those are still cosmetics rather than content.

I actually prefer that. Map markers make the game feel point A to point B. No exploration that way. Id honestly prefer the signal to not even show up on the pipboy until you're close. That way it feels like a real discovery. I think for mod cover purposes it sucks for creators but for playing the game for fun the discovery is better. I like to figure things out for myself.
Sean Porcelli That's true and I can understand that completely. That's what a lot of people really enjoyed about Morrowind. This mod is 7 dollars though, and what if I don't even want to do the quest to get the items? The discoveries and the quests are fun and all, but some folks would rather get right down to business instead. Map markers would help in that regard rather than just blindly running through the Commonwealth in hopes of coming across a signal, and then tracking the signal down to its source. I digress though. A lot of the CC mods feel more like a scavenger hunt than actual quests. There are a few that are good, like the Captain Cosmos quests, but most of them just feel like you're hunting down holotapes, heading to location A, killing some quest related npc's...rinse and repeat two or three times until you finally find what you paid for.

When I used the Sentinel AI Power Armour for the first time, it actually proved its worth pretty much immediately. In terms of combat, it fights identically to Paladin Danse, in that its Power Armour pieces are indestructible and its default Laser Rifle has the same rate of fire as Danse's own Laser Rifle.
Needless to say, I'm probably gonna use this thing in all of my future playthroughs.
Heres another reason to use it, theres now a mod that allows you to turn the AI off and wear it like a normal set of power armor and turn it back on to act independently again, it gives me a Iron esque vibe with it.

When I saw AI and Power Armor, I was hoping they were doing the Medic Power Armor from Fallout 3, my favorite suit of Power Armor ever made. In NV we got the Sneak Suit. I was sad there wasn't some sort of AI or speaking piece of armor in F4.

Actually rez090 I’ve found that it only takes a few shots from a fully upgraded gauss rifle at the engines to take down a vertibird. Of course I also have the rifleman stat fully upgraded.

To get the maximum amount of companions, get the Power Armor Sentinel Creation Club Mod, The other Power Armor mod he mentioned, a regular companion, a hacked robot, a wasteland creature like a Mongrel or Mutant hound, another Wasteland creature like a Radscorpion or Deathclaw, a BoS Scribe, and (idk about this) an Automatron robot that you made, for a total of 10 companions at your disposal. Maximize your firrpower to bring up a fight with the Institute, or go retake the Castle in a breeze, bring down the Prydwen in a fraction of the regular time. Fight a Legendary Chameleon Deathclaw like it's a Radroach, or just strut around the Common's with your squad. Raiders would fear tou, Preston would want to be tou, and no fight will be lost. Note that your robot and Wasteland creatures can die, as well as the Scribe and Automatron creation. Beware of sudden loss of firepower or sudden rogues at any given moment.

Had a rather hilarious moment involving this item. I came around from the back of the truck (I wasn't even following the signal at the moment) and just stumbled on the suits having already killed the outcasts.
Bless your heart. I looked up the general location and then ran around and around until I found the gun fight. I was nowhere near Concorde but at the castle. Still took a long time. They make you work for this Creation Club quests! And so far, it has been the only CC quest that I enjoyed.

I understand your point ox about that this isn’t entirely original. As a console player who doesn’t prefer mods this is a good option to have. I do worry though that this is would make our game a little easy having a companion and the AI power armor. If anything I would use this creation as if it was its own individual companion. Shut off the AI if I want piper or dogmeat and vice versa. Or if I want to do a role play using automatron companions and the AI this would make an interesting playthrough.
For role play purposes I see myself using this for major missions like defending/attacking a faction, assaulting Gunner's Plaza, missions where there will be a major battle, things like that. Otherwise I think it would be too easy

What i love about the CC-1 and X-02 creation club quests is they fit in lore much like this its all put together as you play through the quest.
What i don't get is why Vasquez, Dawson, and Maria are wearing the old factory Brotherhood paint, and are wearing T-45D. I mean i like that they are in T-45D, because that is what the Brotherhood should be wearing in the first place and its the canonical standard issue suit, but still.
I believe it's because the soldiers are Ex-Outcasts, and keep the armor but have painted it in the brotherhood paints.
I can only imagine the look on raiders faces when 6 people in full X-01 power armour charge at them XD

I would probably use all three mods, or just the creation and Kentington's mod with Danse so I can feel like I'm leading a patrol of Brotherhood Knights. Forget game balance, that would just be awesome!
If you want to ACTUALLY lead a Brotherhood patrol, look up the FCOM mod. Way it works is you get a radio, and then you have a list of 5 squads. You can pick and choose which units (Scribes, knights, palidins, etc) to assign to the squads, and then use the radio to issue commands. With the Brotherhood, you even have the option of using one of the squad slots to call in a vertibird that'll follow you around! I've been using it on my minutemen character for ages, makes securing towns a lot more fun.
A fair point. Actually, now that you mention it that's kind of a shame, since then you could have all your soldiers have custom armors based around a theme like in star wars the clone wars. Though to be fair I doubt the brotherhood'd be big on letting people customize their armor...

Maybe the reason they have T-45 instead of T-60 is because they were Outcast members. When the Outcast were reabsorbed into the brotherhood they were bared from having T-60 as a sort of punishment.

Commongamer most CC items aren't made by Bethesda, that's why the lore of them usually makes no sense
As a previous comment stated, these scribes seemed to be a Brotherhood analog to experimental weapon testing brigades, and since they would be handling possibly dangerous weapons, it makes sense to equip them with old, outdated and mothballed sets of T-45 armor, so they don't lose an arm when the gun they're testing blows up in their hand. Remember; scribes aren't prohibited power armor, they just usually dont wear it. See Veronica.
When I last played FO4 , there was atleast another mod like this, but I can't remember what it was called.
It was pretty similar though , it was essentially creating something and putting it in power armor frames and then you can command them and have them follow you around (can't remember if they could just fight or not) , so it was a very good way of getting power armor frames from the commonwealth back to whatever playerhome you used, which was the function I used it for.
I wonder if Malevolent Malfunction is a reference to the Malevolence mod for Oblivion that also gave living armor.

Honestly worth the 700 credits lol its a follower who dont count as a follower so you can fly "solo" to get benifits from the wasteland wanderer perk with the power armor sentinal, or have a normal companion or robot so its a trio of death and destruction. Also the armor you give it dont break.

Ox, I've got info for you on the Sentinel CC. In survival difficulty, the armor will double over if it takes too much damage too quickly, like paladin danse might, rendering it useless for a moment or so, but it can't die, and doesn't need healing items or robot repair things.

Good quest, interesting companion, no new assets. $7.00 still grossly overpriced. I really wish they would get the prices in line with what the individual components cost in the vanilla game. I don't mind if they nickel and dime us with content as long as said content costs nickels and dimes.

Honestly I'm not TOO opposed to the creation club. There's a few things I'd like, namely one of the dogs so I can have my actual dog in game. But the actual prices are out of control. I actually considered buying a creation on sale last week, but didn't when I saw the cheapest option for credits was like $8. Give me a $5 or a $2 option and I'm sure you'll get more customers like me.

The biggest problem with the Patriot mod is that it has a headles body that will leave the power armor to do things like eat and sleep when not in your party. But that also gives you the option of giving it equipment that it normally can't equip because it's in the power armor.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I noticed that if you add the vats targeting, stealth, and health field to the Sentinal, it will affect you even if you don't have on power armor.

I was a little disappointed with this creation. I was kinda hoping that you would be able to choose its attack personality. Kinda like in the automatron DLC depending on its head it will change its engagement range. It would also be nice if you could upgrade its AI and hardware. You could increase its accuracy, HP, damage resistance, the ability to unlock doors or hack terminals, etc.
I wouldve loved something way simpler. Where you can install a modification into any helmet and allows you to press R on it and toggle it moving around on and off

I like the Sentinel A.I., does it break the balance of the game? Maybe, but there are ways to work around that. You could just raise the difficulty of the game, or you can just limit the amount of companions you keep with you. Rather than having Sentinel, and Preston running with you you can just keep Sentinel only, and send it away when you want to run with someone else.
Now because Sentinel doesn't qualify as a companion, lone wanderer would be active while using it. For that reason I'd be best to have it use a weaker weapon to help balance things out.

I appreciate the video Ox, I play on the PS4 and I wanna spice up my game playthroughs but I don't want my achievements disabled so I went out and bought a few of the creations you covered.
I think I'll get this one whenever I got a few extra dollars to spend. It'll be cool for my Brotherhood of Steel walk through. Least till I start gaming on PC but that won't be for awhile.

I play on xb1 and what I did was I just went and unlocked all the achievements first, then I got mods

what realy would make the creation great would be when you leave the powerarmor, the powerarmor AI would aktivate and go in a Observing mode and defend position (like Ironmans armor is doing). so you can block an entrance with this "guard" or it give you backup when you are moveing around and looting the area to save fusioncoreenergie.
Also, if you give him the liberty Prime Voice, you reaaaly should give him the Patriot PA Paintskin. ;-)
So it basically functions like the eyebolt from Vegas in that you can have it as well as your companion

Imagine finding a power armor in the wastes. You happily open and enter the power armor. It gives you amazing strength and adequate protection as expected. After sometime you start to notice some problems. Servos sometimes jam making it a little bit difficult to move. Also it is a little difficult to get out of the armor sometimes. you chalk it up to armor needing repairs. One day while exploring the suit completely jams , making you unable to move. You try to get out of the armor to no avail. Then the suit starts walking , with you trapped inside. You are not able to do anything. The suit suddenly stops , suit's right arm rises. The elbow servo starts rotating in the opposite direction to normal. You let out a bloodcurdling scream as your arm and elbow completely shatters. Then the same thing happens with your left arm , then your right leg , then the left leg. Each time you let out screams more inhumane then the last. With all your broken limbs you are unable to do anything. You cant think straight but you fear what is about to come next. You cry in fear as the neck starts turning backwards. You keep crying and then your neck breaks. no more screams. The suit opens up , dropping your body on the ground , then closes . The suit then wanders off in the wastelands , in search of its next victims.
Now that oxhorn talk about I think that he's right in thinking that Bethesda should try something new with the creation club

Problem is, if its even remotely lore friendly, there's a mod like it on FO4, FO3, FONV or even Skyrim, so its easy to just look back type a few key words and find something before it.
Lmao what do you mean 'now that oxhorn talk about it'. Everyone who plays Fallout 4 consistently has been waiting for them to do something actually good with this Creation Club ever since they announced it and people were in uproar over paid mods. The only way this creation club could be good is if it had good, full length quests with lots of cool stuff to treat these like little DLC packs rather than cash grabs. Instead we get spammed with worthless pipboy cosmetics and ugly gun paint jobs. Bethesda have mostly just proved them right about this being a cash grab. Coolest thing they made is the transdogrifier and all the dog skins, but those are still cosmetics rather than content.
