For me, now it's anywhere between GenTech and Ticonderoga. The game just freezes, no blue screen or nothing. Hangman's Alley is pretty bad too, if I'm there for more than 5 minutes. I was real lucky I could crap out the video that I made.
@Larry ps4 pro. Only time I crash is if Im spamming nukes or running absurdly big mods together in the same place or just pushing the limits like a childish psychopath. 0kb error is a thing that constantly sits on the back of my mind though.
Actually, the combat armor model changes from standard to medium to heavy combat armor depending on your level. If you’re a high level, then you’ll get them as full coverage heavy combat armor.

Ignar Husky The higher the level, the greater the chance. I suggest going for the boots when you’re at least level 80-100. Also, check that Dunwich Excavations near Salem or the serious Gunner hideouts like Quincy or GNR. The raiders there tend to have a lot of heavy metal and heavy combat armor.

I like my "built to last" build where I get every stat 11 and strength 12. SPOILER WARNING: (The trick is getting Day Tripper chems from the Speakeasy in Concord before you use the "You're Special" book in Sanctuary, then use it on strength that you made 10 in the intro after you used Day Tripper to get 11 strength, get all other stats on 10 before picking up bobble heads and now you have a 40-something character that can do anything in the long run with higher ap, health, carry capacity, melee damage, faster crits, better chance on preserved pies etc.)
@@LeigonX Yeah, it gets boring past level 60 though. Especially if you couple it with some lucky finds like a few explosive automatics/shotgun and mighty/instigating Gauss Rifle/Hunting Rifle. It's the reason I have started redoing it on Survival mode. At least that delivers some new challenge.

I think the water boy or water girl perk give you the ability to breathe in water and prevent radiation damage in water as well. So the diving suit is still useless unless you want to save a perk for other things.

Also you can just go crazy if you want and kill anything out of stealth if you want to get a few hits on you. Power armour and everything else isnt worth the downsides to weight, noise agility etc.

God if undetected, and practically invulnerable if seen and going on rampage. I rarely use vats. Have the green dot open sight reticle on instigating rifle. Still snipe from long distance plus open sight allow up close work.
the creation kit still has refrences to soul gems in it. this is due to the fact it's just an upgraded skyrim engine. the kill cam in skyrim is called vats, due to skyrims engine being an upgraded gamebryo engine they've used since morrowind.

There is a weird thing that people can do about Father in Fallout 4 with no mods. After starting the first quest Father gives you then are able to one shot shotgun him in the face with V.A.T.S making him die and everyone in that same faction will not be hostile to the player until you leave or finish the quest. It's also a way to get two of Father's outfits because if you take it before leaving and then the next time while attacking their base then he'll respawn with his coat even if you took it.

There is this unique and legendary armor called the “Murdered to Death Free” shirt. It protects you from getting Murdered to Death. I heard that Nate is the only one who possess this amazing armor.
I never knew the Scribe apocalypse armor was so rare. I got the Scribe encounter in my first and second playthrough. For being that rare, it should have a better ability than slowing down time at low health.

While we're at it I was playing that first quest with Paladin Danse in the ArcJet building and at the end he gave me a very cool futuristic looking pipe rifle called the Righteous Authority. There’s a perk in FO4 that allows you to breathe under water….. and it’s not as difficult to get as the Rescue Diver Suit. I’ve had both, the perk is 100X better. And the Nuka-Girl Space Suit could be a lighter substitute if you’re just waiting for the perk or even armor. The perk only requires 5 Endurance and has no level requirement so you could get it as soon as you leave Vault 111. So the Diver Suit isn’t really anything too useful. That’s not to say I don’t think it’s f***ing awesome, tho

Off the top of my head (I'm not a huge fan of Sanctuary, personally): - Red Rocket Truck Stop. Simply put, it's iconic, (I remember seeing it in all the trailers and promotional material). Plus, you pick up Dogmeat there, and it's the only settlement aside from Sanctuary to come with all 5 workbenches. - The Castle. Fun quest to clear it out, you get howitzers to defend your settlements with (artillery smoke grenades are underrated, IMO), and it's a freaking fortress. What more could you want? - Kingsport Lighthouse. It's a shame that this settlement is so out of the way and not particularly useful, but it's a really fun and unique location, and... come on, it's a lighthouse. Who *doesn't* want to live in a lighthouse? - Bunker Hill. Yes, Bunker Hill. You can unlock it as a settlement. I'm willing to bet that the majority of Fallout 4 players don't even know that. (Basically, ask Deb for work and clear out the National Guard Training Yard, then talk to Kessler and take out Judge Zeller's gang, then complete the main quest The Battle For Bunker Hill, then you'll be allowed to access the workbench). - Last but certainly not least, Hangman's Alley. It's centrally located (a mere stone's throw away from Cambridge Police Station and Diamond City), easily defensible and extremely convenient, and an absolute godsend in Survival Mode. Honorable mentions include Covenant (super underrated sidequest), Egret Tours Marina, Sunshine Tidings Co-op (who doesn't love Prof. Goodfeels?), Abernathy Farm (highest vertical build limit in the game, thanks to the massive pylon).
@@MrVertigoStudios Hangmans alley always bug out for me. Attackers spawning where you cant kill them is the most usual. Covenant also has a tendency to bug out with ownership so you have to wipe it out from time to time. Id have to say Oberland crossing is my fav overlooked settlement, it took me several playthroughs before I realized how convenient that place is. Has really good sightlines too so attacks are dealt with quickly.
While the diver suit looks great..... The effect is made worthless because there's a perk that does both of those things and you only need I think 3 endurance
There's also the Nukagirl Rocketsuit which is MUCH lighter, allowing it to be carried around as a no-perk needed waterbreathing tool without much hindrance.
I'm sorry, did we all forget about the aquaboy perk? It allows you to breathe underwater at an early level if your endurance is high enough when you start
Apparently with the existence of the Automatron DLC, the random Scribe encounters are a whole lot more rare because those pesky robots keep popping up in his certified locations.

Ehh, not exactly. It (as well as the one in Oblivion) is a reference to the actual Springheeled Jack. A "man" who jumped out at people, apparently breathing fire before leaping over walls with ease. That jump is why he was called "Springheeled". He caused a bit of a stir back in...maybe 18th, 19th century England? Still, he was fairly harmless. Just scared the hell out of people and jumped away.

The Nuka Cola Girl outfit is my absolute favorite!!!! I was so excited that they made it as apparel in game 🖤🤘🏻 I have so many posters of her irl and other merch.. Even currently working on a cosplay of her 🖤 i already have my own version of a Vault Girl cosplay as well. I swear Vault Girl & Nuka Girl are my absolute favorites. For getting the Free Fall legs. I used a combination trashcan, power armor jet pack. You can also, RANDOMLY, find legendary Acrobatics leg armor. It has the same effects as Free Fall. And yes you will need both legs to negate fall damage.
I got two random legendary leg armor pieces, (right and left) which deduct 50% fall damage each (100% together). So I never had to chase after the free fall legs.
Surprised you didn't mention the silver shroud costume 42 pts of energy and ballistic armour each (you get it by completely Kurt connolys quest in good neighbor)

Fallout crashes and bugs completely ruined the experience. I'm also going to wait a long time to get Starfield. I have no confidence in that game and refuse to buy it the quarter it drops. In fact I think everyone should wait until the following financial quarter. Investors will lose money and start fucking off from the industry.

You can also get ''free fall'' leg plates randomly. From killing raiders or from other '' bad guys''. But I'm pretty sure you have to be like level 30ish or higher. I eventually picked them up separately by killing the ''bad guys'' that way.
The Apocalypse armour is just polished metal armour with a legendary effect. Also, the Freefall Legs can spawn in as different armour variants, for instance the ones in the video were standard Combat Armour, whereas the set I found were one Sturdy and one Heavy Combat Armour leg. Pretty sure it's level dependant.
Im.on my 3rd play through still finding new people and conversations, went with a intelligence, charisma build and honestly I like it more then just running and gunning !!

They don’t like it because they removed a lot of the rpg elements and made the perk system more dumbed down.In older Fallouts you could finish quests in a variety of ways depending on your stats.Nearly every stat could be used and gave you more dialogue options.FO4 barely had any of that.The only choices I saw were the “ask for more money” and maybe 2 or 3 others that didn’t really matter much.It made a lot of stats have very little effect on the overall story.
Freefall legs were the main reason i dropped power armor completely lol. I actually just started moving via rooftops in the city since i learned so much about jumping to get them in the first place

Getting the Scribe as a merchant is doubley hard, due to the merchant glitch where sometimes the wandering named, recruitable NPCs will just disappear when you assign them to a settlement.

Freefall legs are cool and all, but if you do need both for the effect to function, then they're no different than "Acrobat" legendary armor, in which one individual piece gives you 50% fall damage resistance. Also you can just wear a power armor frame, with the bonus being you can add power armor to it. I guess the location is neat.
But doesn’t it work like.. if you take away half of something, the other half is all you’ve got left. If you half that again, then you’ve still got a quarter of it left. Or am I overthinking this and getting the wrong answer???
As far as the rescue diversuit goes. If you get the aqua girl/boy perk it does better for underwater. You take no radiation while swimming and you can breathe underwater. If you get rank 2 in the perk you are completely undetectavle underwater.
my current favorite is the robes of atom's devoted. they sorta inspired me to do a lorenzo's artifact run, even. they're not that great, though there's two things that make them a decent choice: they can be buffed with ballistic weave, so that shitty outfit can become semi decent armor, and when you wear them, when you get over 900 rads (normally 90% max health missing) the rad penalty goes away. you can have over 1k rads and still be alive, and even have your normal max hp.

I haven't seen him in a fair bit, but I think he was alive for more then a month after that bite. If your lucky, regular rabies will reduce you to feral ghoul status in that time. So clearly, the apocalypse gas not been kind to infectious diseases. A small saving grace.
There is a weird thing that people can do about Father in Fallout 4 with no mods.
After starting the first quest Father gives you then are able to one shot shotgun him in the face with V.A.T.S making him die and everyone in that same faction will not be hostile to the player until you leave or finish the quest.
It's also a way to get two of Father's outfits because if you take it before leaving and then the next time while attacking their base then he'll respawn with his coat even if you took it.

I never knew the Scribe apocalypse armor was so rare. I got the Scribe encounter in my first and second playthrough. For being that rare, it should have a better ability than slowing down time at low health.

While we're at it I was playing that first quest with Paladin Danse in the ArcJet building and at the end he gave me a very cool futuristic looking pipe rifle called the Righteous Authority. What's even crazier is that it shoots some kind of red tracer rounds that look really bright even in day time.

@nexus_stuff137 Fallout 4 does not have a level cap. Technically you can't go past level 65,535 because doing so causes an overflow error, but that's an unfixable bug rather than an intended limit.

There’s a perk in FO4 that allows you to breathe under water….. and it’s not as difficult to get as the Rescue Diver Suit. I’ve had both, the perk is 100X better. And the Nuka-Girl Space Suit could be a lighter substitute if you’re just waiting for the perk or even armor. The perk only requires 5 Endurance and has no level requirement so you could get it as soon as you leave Vault 111. So the Diver Suit isn’t really anything too useful. That’s not to say I don’t think it’s f***ing awesome, tho
Legendary leather armour with stat bonuses and stealth upgrades is the way. With instigating combat rifle. Stealth auto kill everything. Also you can just go crazy if you want and kill anything out of stealth if you want to get a few hits on you. Power armour and everything else isnt worth the downsides to weight, noise agility etc.
Top 5 Settlements that need your help. But seriously, make a video about best settlements, from tactical, self sufficiency and location standpoints.
Off the top of my head (I'm not a huge fan of Sanctuary, personally):
- Red Rocket Truck Stop. Simply put, it's iconic, (I remember seeing it in all the trailers and promotional material). Plus, you pick up Dogmeat there, and it's the only settlement aside from Sanctuary to come with all 5 workbenches.
- The Castle. Fun quest to clear it out, you get howitzers to defend your settlements with (artillery smoke grenades are underrated, IMO), and it's a freaking fortress. What more could you want?
- Kingsport Lighthouse. It's a shame that this settlement is so out of the way and not particularly useful, but it's a really fun and unique location, and... come on, it's a lighthouse. Who *doesn't* want to live in a lighthouse?
- Bunker Hill. Yes, Bunker Hill. You can unlock it as a settlement. I'm willing to bet that the majority of Fallout 4 players don't even know that. (Basically, ask Deb for work and clear out the National Guard Training Yard, then talk to Kessler and take out Judge Zeller's gang, then complete the main quest The Battle For Bunker Hill, then you'll be allowed to access the workbench).
- Last but certainly not least, Hangman's Alley. It's centrally located (a mere stone's throw away from Cambridge Police Station and Diamond City), easily defensible and extremely convenient, and an absolute godsend in Survival Mode.
Honorable mentions include Covenant (super underrated sidequest), Egret Tours Marina, Sunshine Tidings Co-op (who doesn't love Prof. Goodfeels?), Abernathy Farm (highest vertical build limit in the game, thanks to the massive pylon).
@@MrVertigoStudios Hangmans alley always bug out for me. Attackers spawning where you cant kill them is the most usual.
Covenant also has a tendency to bug out with ownership so you have to wipe it out from time to time.
Id have to say Oberland crossing is my fav overlooked settlement, it took me several playthroughs before I realized how convenient that place is. Has really good sightlines too so attacks are dealt with quickly.

There's also the Nukagirl Rocketsuit which is MUCH lighter, allowing it to be carried around as a no-perk needed waterbreathing tool without much hindrance.
The rescue diver suit is technically also useless to get because there is a skill that you can upgrade that allows you to breathe underwater

Ehh, not exactly. It (as well as the one in Oblivion) is a reference to the actual Springheeled Jack. A "man" who jumped out at people, apparently breathing fire before leaping over walls with ease. That jump is why he was called "Springheeled". He caused a bit of a stir back in...maybe 18th, 19th century England? Still, he was fairly harmless. Just scared the hell out of people and jumped away.

For getting the Free Fall legs. I used a combination trashcan, power armor jet pack.
You can also, RANDOMLY, find legendary Acrobatics leg armor. It has the same effects as Free Fall. And yes you will need both legs to negate fall damage.
I got two random legendary leg armor pieces, (right and left) which deduct 50% fall damage each (100% together). So I never had to chase after the free fall legs.
I only got 1 legendary synth left leg with that effect and I never knew about the free fall legs😢
Surprised you didn't mention the silver shroud costume 42 pts of energy and ballistic armour each (you get it by completely Kurt connolys quest in good neighbor)

You can also get ''free fall'' leg plates randomly. From killing raiders or from other '' bad guys''. But I'm pretty sure you have to be like level 30ish or higher. I eventually picked them up separately by killing the ''bad guys'' that way.

The apocalypse armor just uses the default metal armor model and texture, nothing unique about it except the special effects.
Even this is not unique about them. I have like 5 of them from random raiders.
The Apocalypse armour is just polished metal armour with a legendary effect. Also, the Freefall Legs can spawn in as different armour variants, for instance the ones in the video were standard Combat Armour, whereas the set I found were one Sturdy and one Heavy Combat Armour leg. Pretty sure it's level dependant.
There is a perk that allows you to be immune to water radiation and breathe under water without the suit.
Also certain food let's you avoid drowning

They don’t like it because they removed a lot of the rpg elements and made the perk system more dumbed down.In older Fallouts you could finish quests in a variety of ways depending on your stats.Nearly every stat could be used and gave you more dialogue options.FO4 barely had any of that.The only choices I saw were the “ask for more money” and maybe 2 or 3 others that didn’t really matter much.It made a lot of stats have very little effect on the overall story.
Freefall legs were the main reason i dropped power armor completely lol. I actually just started moving via rooftops in the city since i learned so much about jumping to get them in the first place

Getting the Scribe as a merchant is doubley hard, due to the merchant glitch where sometimes the wandering named, recruitable NPCs will just disappear when you assign them to a settlement.

Freefall legs are cool and all, but if you do need both for the effect to function, then they're no different than "Acrobat" legendary armor, in which one individual piece gives you 50% fall damage resistance. Also you can just wear a power armor frame, with the bonus being you can add power armor to it. I guess the location is neat.
But doesn’t it work like.. if you take away half of something, the other half is all you’ve got left. If you half that again, then you’ve still got a quarter of it left. Or am I overthinking this and getting the wrong answer???

As far as the rescue diversuit goes. If you get the aqua girl/boy perk it does better for underwater. You take no radiation while swimming and you can breathe underwater. If you get rank 2 in the perk you are completely undetectavle underwater.
Can you upgrade the damage resistance on it?

my current favorite is the robes of atom's devoted.
they sorta inspired me to do a lorenzo's artifact run, even.
they're not that great, though there's two things that make them a decent choice: they can be buffed with ballistic weave, so that shitty outfit can become semi decent armor, and when you wear them, when you get over 900 rads (normally 90% max health missing) the rad penalty goes away. you can have over 1k rads and still be alive, and even have your normal max hp.
i love the way the diving suit looks buts its always completly worthless to me cuz i always have the aqua boy perk by the time i get it
