I love the way you can find mad robots out in the Fallout universe who haven’t realised the war is over and keep doing their pre-war jobs.
Concept is awfully depressing and i love it, denial is basically part of their programming- you can tell they werent prepared to function in the end of the world.

It's always been a problem with Bethesda games. We get it that they try to sound like they're one upping you and making you look like nothing when you start out.
But you'd think a company could had learned to program NPCs to respect you better late game, especially when a single raider walks up to you and see you in full power armor and enough weapons to nuke Diamonds City...
Instead, he walks up to you with his shitty pipe pistol and goes... "Yeah, I can take this guy on."

Since I have a habit of sneaking around at night. (Do to that park that gives that gray night vision, well sneaking)
Gives you a hint of horror, to the game. Assuming your sneak is high enough, the Death-Claw will keep walking around almost like it's stalking you...
I do the same thing. Once, I was being a stealthy boi. My stealth boy wore off and, the deathclaw Just, stood there...
One time in Fallout 76 a Deathclaw started attacking me so I killed it, and when I killed it for whatever reason, a bounty was put on my head.

Sometimes I find 2 death claws fighting near sanctuary hills. So I put in what I call a watchtower, it concrete blocks 3 blocks wide, 2 long, 6 high with turrets on top. I will snipe 1 of the DC and entice them to watch tower for some fun. The watchtower is offset to main walls in middle of river at extreme north east of settlement boundary with a walkway from main walls so don't have to go to ground while patrolling the walls.

As buggy a mess this game can be and as lackluster the story was, this one is EASILY the most fun of them all for me. That is why I love this game. I never know what bizarre thing I’m gonna find next and I love it
And next thing you know Preston gives you a radiant quest he hasn't given you before.

I noticed on an older video you saw a sleep walking note and were puzzled because there wasn’t anyone in the house.
In my game, when I left the Old Sinkhole, I had a dead raider at the bottom of the steps that looked like they had a broken neck.
I ran into a second random encounter referencing the sleep walker. Apparently they moved up on top of an overpass in a little shack. You find a note mentioning worrying about sleepwalking while so high up and that they need to remember to lock the door. You find the body of a dead settler on the ground below.
I could one in the overpass by the castle

@@arachnesakura9375 far from it. Seems a lot of people are arguing over what the specific reference is. Most people tend to think bioshock so you are the opposite of alone. It would be pretty cool if they expanded it to cover various small settlements. Sometimes you find raiders, sometimes you find settlers, sometimes you find both fighting.
There is a mod called wild wasteland that does what it did in new V
I prefer the fake Preston... you should've had a quest where you can make a deal with fake Preston to replace the real Preston with the promise he will never mark settlements on your map. Extra dialogue would've had people in Sanctuary Hills commenting that something is different about Preston, like when TV show gives a wink to an actor change of a long time character

For me my somewhat favorite random encounter is the named ghouls that attack you.
There is also for me i saw two legendary alpha deathclaws fighting each other.
The named ghouls are your pre-war neighbors whom you see as you and your spouse are heading up to Vault 111. Check it out the next time you start a new game-- they have the same names.
Of course, since I've come across this encounter many times, it stops making sense after the first encounter, but that's Bethesda for you.

I see you added the double deathclaw encounter into your comment since I replied. I've seen that one, too, though in my case, they weren't legendary. I was walking along the road in Far Harbor near the Eden Meadows Cinema and saw them fighting over a Fog Crawler corpse. I said to myself, "Yeeeeah, imma steer clear of that." Unfortunately, I didn't get to see which one was the victor because the game crashed the moment I finished saying that. When I returned to the spot, it gave me a swarm of bloatflies instead.

I have more than 1200 hours in Fallout 4 and I've NEVER met the fake Preston Garvey. I'm kinda sad about that.

On one of my accounts I have 3672 hours of Fallout 4 I basically have 8 sets of xo1 power armor sets I basically have over 4 sets of every single power armor and about every single gun upgraded to the Max I have over 200, 000 caps every single compound the Raiders can never complete the attacking of the compound because all my defense and all the people at my compound have powerful guns and amor hey try to beat that

What do you have to say about that sentry bot model you can find in the Mechanist's lair in Isabel Cruz' room? It's based on the fallout 3/NV sentry bots, which I thought was odd, but other things in game share a similar oddity. I had this odd theory where the commonwealth and other enclave-influenced areas run in a sort of technology ying-yang, with the commonwealth being more advanced in robots (Better Mr. handy AI, more advanced variants of other robots, assaultrons), but lacking in weapon technology (gauss rifle and ripper look considerably bulkier and outdated compared to other games). This is reversed in the enclave-influenced areas of the US, namely the Mojave and capital wasteland, as their robots are more basic, with smaller, less armed sentry bots, more basic protectron units without the specialties, etc. But their weapons appear more advanced, with the ripper and Gauss rifle appearing more refined. Just thought that was odd, and might make a good video topic.

I found a mongrel that I patched up and named Buttface. Helps me out in fights but the dog goes on its own quest. And now I have to check mongrels now to make sure one of them is not Buttface. Lmao
When I found him he just defeat a random enemy. But you just walk up to the mongrel and gives you choices. I chose to heal it. And it gave me options what to name it. I named it Buttface. And from to time Ill run into him. Either fighting or just sniffing about. But he never stays with me. But also never attacks me. Just helps.

I guess it depends on what you name him or that just DLC patch but I named him Buttface and then went off on his own way. Only ran into him once so far. But what can you expect the commonwealth is a big place. Lmao
Cameron Anderson I killed it because I thought it was a regular mongrel. Then I read the name, ' wounded mongrel/dog' and so I reloaded an old save. He isn't there anymore ):

Yea, I've encountered them just outside Boston, coming in from the northwest (Beantown Brewery area)
I've met them a few times. I only know who they are because of one of these videos, but I forget if it was Oxhorn or someone else.

I met them by that little town with the church I met them fighting some minuteman on patrol I was wondering if it is better to put them out of their misory

I found that lieutenant gutsy on a bridge on the way from Abernathy farm to diamond city. The bridge was next to the dam on the far west side of the map
That dialogue with the Mister Gutsy is one of the best sequences in any Fallout game.
Arlen is simply one of the most amazing and heartbreaking little vignettes in a game I think I’ve ever encountered. It’s sad, sure, but by god it was beautiful.
