This was amazing! Thank yo so much for posting. Saved me the $300 Dodge wanted to charge. I have a 2003 2500 and it is exactly the same as your 2004 1/2. You made it easy and painless. And thanks for the tip on the wire harness clip!
Excellent job once again my friend!! This man can do some mechanican on everything from a Ford, to a Lincoln and even a Fiat 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins & everything in between!! Lol God bless~
Great video! I had a similar issue in my '04 NV5600 truck. Replaced APPS, still no dice. Did some research, found a guy by the name of "TimboAPPS" and installed his direct wire harness from the APPS to the ECM, seems to be the fix as of now.
So weird mine gets a dead pedal if u floor it p2123 and p2127 I’ve changed everything and checked everything still does it. New apps, timbo apps harness, ecu check, dealer flash, new ecu, even wired in a newer style apps mounted pedal no dice. Drives fine until u floor it or floor it to much to fast :(
Hello, I have a 2005.5 dodge ram 2500 5.9 Cummins with a G56 and I have the same codes and I already changed the APPS and it remains the same, it does not accelerate only when it wants and the other thing I have noticed is that when I put it on 2 and I start to remove the clutch by itself it accelerates
Thank You So much I have 1 the same year model and my accelerator pedal is 1 - 2 inches from the floor after it got stolen. Yes loss power try to shift especially in 1 - 4 . I have no codes though. Hopefully it's just the stretched cable.
@kaydonwagner574 0 seconds ago Did you ever have to tune one of these apps? Seems like most guys have the other style mounted to the side of the engine. I ordered a new one threw it in Recalibrated it and it’s still throwing p1217. Looks like there’s no torx adjustment screw on these. Kind of lost considering few people have this style of tps Although it is idling a lot better now. 2nd gear sometimes still just romps to 2500 rpm’s without even giviner the beans. 2003 5.9 24v HO nv5600
Hey man can you do me a huge favor I just picked up a truck that’s doing this 2003 and they put a new plug on it but I think they mix the wires up is there anyway you could tell me what the colors are of the wires from the red clip all the way across I’m having a hard time finding a wiring diagram for the plug and which wire goes where I just want to make sure that they’re worth are supposed to go because the truck won’t run right as of now. Thanks for the help
I'm sorry but I've read this four or five times and I still don't know what you're trying to ask. You need to learn proper grammer and punctuation. Those skills will go a long way for you.
I have an 04.5 manual and it’s throwing p2121 but goes away after a code clear, comes back randomly or after hitting a bump in the road it seems like. I’m hoping it’s loose connection, do they still sell these sensors in 2024?
@@prodieselrepair3218 I know this video is old but I’m hoping you remember. Did this guy come back after a couple of days with the same issue? My factory one had issues randomly so I bought one from Orileys. Went for a couple of days then quit. Tried it again and same thing. Went and got a Napa one and it lasted for about 300 miles. That’s where I’m at. I plugged the factory one back in with no relearn and it works just fine. I put the Napa one back on and it doesn’t work
Anyone find a source for just the potentiometer and not the whole assembly?

How did you find the harness I’m having trouble with mine
@@rodolfoguerra4058Follow the wiring from the APPS under the driver side battery tray, to the ECM.
@@jgl255it connects to there right to the ecm it’s one the right side of the truck

Do you have a link to the part???

Did you ever figure out that fan code as well? I have the same on my 04.5

Would this cause the truck not to start?
Usually not. A crank no start most of the time is not related to the APPS.
Thank you! My truck has been throwing a code and I couldn't find it

OEM sensors are not availible but they available aftermarket......just as I explained in the video.
I have a 2003 2500 5.9 cummins with a 6speed manual and thats where mines at.
Interesting. I haver another customer with a 2003 6-speed and it's up where the 2002 VP44 ones are
@prodieselrepair3218 From everything i can find that was the change it up year. My fuel pump is up by the fuel filter to.
Any 03 6speed built in 02 will have APPS on top of engine. 03 6speeds built in calendar year 03 will have apps sensor under battery.

The only code I’m getting is p2121
