Erica I had rewind because thought heard you wrong when you said you don’t own a belt! I never noticed that you don’t wear a belt just noticed your wonderful style. Belts are often mentioned as a staple of a wardrobe which you have just proved - not true for everyone. One can still look great, stylish, elevated not adhering to certain fashion staples if it doesn’t work for them.

Thanks for the great tips! I definitely feel I can ruin the look of an outfit with the wrong shoe choice. Have you already done a capsule video specifically on shoes? I know I have too many pairs yet still feel sometimes like I don’t have the right look for an outfit. My daughter ( college age) can pull of sneakers with anything but me?..not so much. I have a preppy/classic style btw.

I don't know why, but in the second tip example (waist definition) I feel like you're not defining your waist, but rather the place where your jeans end, which is somewhere between your waist and your hips, but not on your actual waistline. To me it looks like it hides your waist and it makes you look cropped (in lack of a better word) more than in the left example. Its like you want your waist to be there instead of where it actually is and because of that my mind can't imagine the waist anywhere else, thus your waist looks wider than it is. While in the left outfit my mind cán imagine the waist there, making you look slimmer. At least in these shots. This happens to me all the time - I try to tuck in my shirt in jeans that aren't actually hitting me exactly on my waist (which happens with mid rises, but as theyre more comfy than high rise, thats what I'm wearing) and then this creates a boxy look to the shirt which hides my actual waist. However, when I'm wearing a high rise skirt or a dress that actually shows my waistline because it's tailored that way, this does work and look amazing and put together
That's so interesting! We all see things so differently. Style is subjective and that's why it's most valuable to wear and style things the way you feel best. ❤

@@EricaBallStyle hmmm, perhaps is u need a lavalier mic or if you already have one, somehow get it closer to your mouth? Not sure what kind of mic you got but it sounds like you’re talking to the computer built-in mic 😩
I know about that because I’m planning to become a TH-camr as well 😊 I bought a podcast mic but that’s because I plan to show it on camera while I speak.
