I started trying to use my work from home days as "outfit practice" days. It helps so much because I can see how comfortable it is, make any adjustments, and then have an even better version of that look when I wear it to the office. 🎉
Love this practice! Such a great way to pay attention to how an outfit makes you feel. Thank you for sharing ❤
Great video! You’re absolutely right. TH-camrs and Instagrammers often use special cameras and effects to make products look high-quality. For example, I bought a Goelia top because a TH-camr, who was sponsored by them, recommended it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be low-quality, cheap-looking, and a complete waste of money.
Thanks for sharing your experience Yvette! I look at what items are made out of to help make a better decision for my wardrobe.
Oh, that is interesting, everyone is plugging that brand at the moment, and they do look good online, but I hate to buy clothing online, rather try it on.
I bought a pair of dark denim jeans that were a "wardrobe basic." They hung in my closet for 2 years until last week. I was finally determined to wear them last week. They fit well and looked great. I'll have to see if I reach for them again🤔
Excellent recommendations! I think you are the first person I have heard that said that we should practice putting outfits together. This is something that I realised a week ago. That is such an important lesson. Even if we have great pieces in our wardrobe if we are not skilled in pulling an outfit together it will always be hard to change that 80% of time wearing only 20% of our clothes ratio and we will feel like we don’t have much to wear.
Yes, Vicki! We get better at what we practice 😊
It's nice to hear the thoughts that come to me too. Most stylists around say that you need to buy oversized things, that this is the only way to look stylish. But I don’t like seeing folds on myself at all, I feel like I’m wearing sacks in big things and I’m torn between dressing in a way that’s not fashionable, but the way I like it, or vice versa.
Thanks for your comment! I think we can be stylish and feel good. It's knowing what we like and what we don't that makes a huge difference 😊
I've come up with the idea that I want to purchase items I can wear in winter as well as summer. I have so many armless tops that I can put on shirts underneath and still wear when it's colder. I can come up with so many more outfits when I buy with this in mind.
Yes! Love this Shalayne. The more versatile a piece is, the more we can wear it. 😊
Such good advice and a refreshing change from people pushing a particular brand at us. Hallelujah! Thank you. I have subscribed and can’t wait to watch your other videos x
Thanks Jan 😊
kay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the *yutulu* book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
My capsule wardrobe as a mom of a young girl child:
Winter:
-black leggings
-jeans
Summer:
-shorts
-skirts
And then I add variety in the tops - something simple and comfortable and t-shirt like but with a feminine flair like some ruffles or flowers or a special neck or pattern - very easy to get dressed!
I now have quality basics and some good fun pieces and the next step was to digitalize my wardrobe. And so I did. 😊 it’s easy to put together outfits now.
That's so great! 😊
About versatility- I don’t worry about having items that can work for multiple seasons because I like to put away out-of-season items - then it feels like I have a whole new wardrobe every season change. (Just twice a year where I live). This keeps me from getting bored with my clothes and helps me live with a more minimal wardrobe. Otherwise great tips!
I do that too.
You've got me!
I have bloating issues. What I put together depends on a extended abdomen. I need help on what style will be appropriate for those days. Love your channel .
I have the same situation .
Thanks for your comment Pat. See if this video gives you some ideas 👉th-cam.com/video/QMG3MVTSDNc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zRgmRhAxzqkcwUfb
I'd go for very stretchy pants.
What about dresses? It's all one piece and it skims over the belly. I have the same problem btw...
@@butterflyblue04 Look for dresses with more structure that have a heavier weight fabric versus dresses that are a thinner fabric like jersey or knits.
Just did a clear out / season change in wardrobe. I tried everything on.
I decided to fold anything that didn’t “ deserve a hanger”. Also anything thats just a tiny bit too tight , I just turn inside out, so I don’t keep picking it. As I don’t want to put back in the attic. 😂
Thanks for your comment Anya! I like how items that didn't deserve a hanger got folded 😂
I love *yutulu* that on the butterfly bag it says auguri / tanti auguri which means happy birthday
I used to be very good at determining the colors I liked- soft heathered tones of summer green, blue, and pinks, and I sewed lined wool blazers, slacks, dresses, and skirts. Then I learned I was a winter and all those colors drained every bit of color out of my face. Start over!
Thanks for your comment Kathy! I'm a big advocate for wearing the colors that make you happy versus following the "right" colors. When we wear colors we feel good in, we radiate more confidence, thus making the clothes "look better".
@@EricaBallStyle well, I really loved summer colors, but they did me no favors. Now i pick my favorite colors from the winter chart.
I’m also a winter! I layered in things like vintage and thrifted scarves and sweaters around my shoulders so the colors by my face are better for me, but /i can still wear all the things I love (and already paid for!)
@@erinellison4499 Thanks for your comment Erin! Wearing what you love is key to feeling good ❤

Glad you're here! 😊
Hi there! Great information. I was wondering where you either get great quality tank tops or where you got the black one you are wearing. I love basic tanks, especially at home. Thank you! 💕🌟 ❤🎀❤
Thank you! My tank is my favorite. It's the AGOLDE Poppy and runs TTS rstyle.me/+KioToPy7vZjDxmwwjr2Isw
I stick to neutrals and have no hard time putting outfits together . Easier
*yutulu* I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter❤
Thank you Margaret ❤

Thanks for your comment! Some women love to put away their non-seasonal items and then when they take them out it feels like they have a whole new wardrobe. It sounds like you found what works for you ❤
