I always travel with a t-shirt dress in a basic colour, which I roll up, put in a zip lock bag along with 1 pair of panties, and carry in my personal item. In case my suitcase goes astray, I will always have something to sleep in that I can even wear as a dress during the day if necessary. I also wear some kind of silk scarf or pashmina. I can wear it as an accessory or use it as a blanket on the plane. Finally, plastic flip flops are essential to wear in hotel rooms, spas, beach, and poolside. One plantar's wart (which I think I caught at a public swimming pool) took me 2 years to get rid of. Since then, I never go barefoot unless I'm at home.

I'm 45 and have finally found my style! Now I'm curating a closet with quality not quantity. Fast fashion got me for years and I learned my lesson.

I enjoy the tips I get from this channel. But more than that, I feel like having fun with my wardrobe and if I do buy something, doing so mindfully. These videos make me feel happy rather than wrong or lacking. Such a breath of fresh air!

Thank you. Love this video. Could you possibly do a video on basics to take on vacation to an all inclusive in a hot climate? Im living in Canada so going from a cold climate typically in the winter. Our summers seem short so don’t have much practice on whats best to wear for hot weather ( linen, cotton, silk) fabrics.

I stick to neutrals, it easier to match. No patterns, but classy & business casual. I do need to stop buying jeans even if most are from Ross or Tj maxx 😂

I’ve been working from home (in my pjs most days) since the pandemic. As of Nov 1st, have to go into the office 3 days a week. Listening (again) to your videos in the background during my 40 minute drive into work. My biggest issue is that it’s the middle of Nov and it’s still hot where I live! 😭 We have 4 seasons where I live, but I want to wear my winter sweaters!!! Sweaters are my favorite!!!

I love your idea of choosing a dressy jogger instead of a midi skirt, which does not fit my personal style! I would suggest adding an elevated sneaker like Golden goose to the list!

I just travel to Europe for 3 weeks on a carry on thanks to my #tripped cubes and I also have their toiletry bag, wasn't easy to get them shipped to Chile but totally worth it. I'm between a pear and hourglass. Narrow shoulders, narrow waist, large bust, and large hips. But so far not found anything that feels comfortable. I feel like everything looks horrible on me and not flattering.

I have yet to find $100 top or sweater that I would happy with. I bought a $60 sweater once, I liked the color and pattern and thought i could adjust it to make it look better. I took the scissors to it and tried to make it work... it got thrown in the garbage. A $100 piece doesn't mean it will be a quality item and you look how easy to get a food stain, your money is a goner. You are not buying a piece if art that will hang on a wall which will never get dirty. Foot wear is different, it can get banged and still look great.

Buy her socks and some warm boots if they have them. Two jackets on and no socks. No common sense.

I realized watching this video that I need more navy bottoms in my wardrobe - a couple of navy pants and skirts. I have plenty of black - would actually prefer navy because it’s a little softer and would suit me better!

I think an issue for many people is that they do not know how to shop. Part of that is understanding production cost vs wholesale vs retail mark up. The best time to go shopping, meaning the times retailers will have the items you actually want on sale. Know what quality actually means by looking at the seams, the fabric and the cut. A lot of this I learned from family members that made their own clothes and from home economics in middle school. Like you said its not a bargain if you never wear it.

Idk if you noticed, Nordstrom and Rack’s clothes are not same quality as before… it’s so sad. They have quality items maybe but very few 😢

I usually do the full tuck except when I have a sweater on. My best color is yellow and maybe pink.

Thank you Erica. I totally agree with you re: colour theory, I think it's a lot of rubbish tbh, but then I have always intuitively know which colours are best for me. We brunettes are lucky actually, most colours look gook on us. Denim and navy looks great on everybody.

Victoria Beckham must throw away her pants after each wear. They are often so long that the hems have to be ruined completely. Also, not sure how layering a jacket over a top while wearing strappy shoes works. Is it hot out, or cold out? If it’s warm enough to wear sandals, I’d be roasting under a second layer.
