And don't get me started on what men think of the shirt-tails showing beneath the sweater look!

@@dlss4436 I only clicked on the title of this video so I could post how much I disagree with telling people what they should wear. Maybe the OP did too.
So we should rely on what you say? What about letting people choose if they want to follow a trend or not? However we live in cities, you can't say that you are never influenced. The clothes you're buying have been made according to a trend and you are probably influenced to buy it without even realizing it. Seeing these clothes in movies or other people you're coming across.
@camillej3776 it's not a far-fetched idea to think and believe that some people actually aren't influenced by the latest and greatest things they see in ads or movies. Personally, I don't like looking like everyone else. I don't like dressing like everyone else. I wear what I want and if people don't like it they don't have to look. I get a lot of compliments on my outfits, though, and at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that my wardrobe makes me happy. I'm an individual. I'm not a follower. People should try it.
I've lost 250 lbs and always wore baggy clothes and had no shape. I got a panniculectomy to remove my loose skin and FINALLY have a flat stomach. I will always be accentuating my waist with tucking and belts. I lived 42 yrs fat...it's only been 4 yrs with this new body...so I'll be in my 80s before I stop caring about looking skinny 😂
As someone with a 38” bust and a 26” waist, belting my waist has always felt like a necessity. But something I’ve been doing recently is using sweater clips on the inside back of my more flowy garments to slightly cinch my waistline without using a belt. Looks much more updated and less snatched while still allowing me to not feel like I look 30 lbs heavier from the side. I got a pack of 6 of them on Amazon for around $8.
I do the same thing. I’m 38DD (sadly no longer 28 waist) and hate flowy shirts, I feel I look pregnant. I’m 62 and in the 80’s we had jacket clips that made a boxy jacket look more feminine. When I worked in the vet field, the scrubs were still boxy and I started making &selling clips to cinch in the shirts. I decorated them w/ buttons for holidays, dressy occasions, job related, etc. and called them “Cinch-Itz”. Similar to what you’re doing.
Trend or not the front tuck is what personal stylists use to give a person a waistline to keep from looking frumpy. So I think it kind of depends on the body type. Also you can't always tuck everything in or belt it, it may just be too much fabric.
It may just be TOO (not TO) much fabric.😊 TOO: Don't eat too much cake bcz you'll get full. Too much fabric makes jeans bulky. TO: Go to the store please. When you are ready to leave, we will go.

It's still a great look. I visit east and west coast cities regularly with my job and see many well dressed women that still do this and also GASP still wear skinny jeans and look amazing. Take all suggestions as suggestions. Do what looks best on you and what feels best. Ive seen several Y tubers who have no business wearing wide leg jeans trying to rock them bc they're trendy. Not every trend looks good on every body type, just saying🤗
Trends come and go. I used to be on top of what was trending at the moment, follow what I could. Now, I have found my personal style and I don’t require to purchase often or feel bad for doing something that makes me feel comfortable. If you are confident in how you rock your style, these little tips can help you get there but definitely don’t feel shamed if once’s on trend no longer on trend. I will forever front tuck. The only time I won’t is if im pregnant. lol
A couple of weeks ago I wore white jeans and white denim vest with a pale pink sweatshirt type top. A man confronted me at a bus stop admiring my outfit. I’m 78 so it wasn’t a pick up, but what he said was odd. He said “You are probably the only one in this Chicago wearing this today “ 😂 He went on to compliment me but it did make me realize that he was probably right. But I liked it and felt good in it so I guess I’m fine with being the only one in 3 million 😂😂
How awesome!! I’m 58 with a modern-boho style, a gentleman recently stopped me and said “you are a woman who knows who she is”… it felt so good like my outside matched my inside… sure made my day.
Why can't we just make our own trends? I am older than you and have seen nothing go out of style, it's always circling around. Be creative and have fun with your looks/outfits/accessories. Enjoy life.
Wearing sneakers with dresses and suits for commuting was in style in the 80s but no one would dare wear that in the office. You would have been sent home. Eveybody had a pair of heels in their bag to change into.
I never liked that commuting look back in the 80s. It was practical however to save one's feet from trauma. Nowadays, if the sneakers are worn with certain dress styles it can probably look ok. It's just that back then, we wore matched suits and it just looked incongruous. I'm not sure I can get over that thought and embrace the current look.
Times have changed. Its more acceptable depending on where you work plus we have dressier sneakers now made of suede and leather. Still a matter of personal taste and whether you like it or think you can pull it off
Genuine question, because I see this a lot. If you don’t like something and don’t participate in something, why do you care if it’s here or gone? I never got into the one shoulder look but I don’t care if it’s in style of not because I don’t wear it. I also don’t care if others choose to.
I’m a 5’foot 60-year-old Asian semi-retired doctor, and at first, I was hesitant to try wide-legged pants, worried they might overwhelm my frame. However, I discovered that pairing them with a cropped jacket or a relaxed T-shirt or shirt of just the right length (around crotch level), along with sneakers, instantly gives a stylish, youthful, and modern look. ❤
I’ve just lost 60 pounds. I’ve lived my entire past 45 years in baggy clothes, so yeah I’m going to wear more fitted clothes. I don’t care what the style is. I only got so many years left.
I love your channel for these simple and helpful videos. I wear what makes me happy but it is so nice to know simple adjustments can help keep me young and current without even having to buy new things. I can easily get stuck in the same style and knowing a simple tuck or shoe change can transform everything is a godsend. thank you!
I'm 58. I wear trends like crazy mixed with my favorite items. My high school students love it. I encourage all people who dare to dress beyond the social norm. We need to encourage people to be themselves. I think Anna does a great job walking thay line.
I think a front tuck is a classic that will never truly be dated, though the one side tucked in is a specific trendy look that will look dated (& like you stroked out & forgot to finish).
I wouldn't call the front tuck a classic in any way. It hasn't even been around long enough for me to get used to seeing it. I always think that somebody got lazy and couldn't be bothered to tuck their shirt in neatly. I assure you, only other women aren't going to be thinking the same thing, and a lot of us women will be, too. To me, it's like saying a faux-hawk haircut is a classic. It's the same vibe, and not at all classic.
9:51 Moral here is to ignore all trends and do what works for you. current T-shirt trends make me look so FRUMPY. I’m getting out of my comfort zone and pushing myself to sew with knits (which is real pain since I don’t own a serger or a Coverstitch machine). Really difficult trying to make it look great with zig zag stitches. Anyways, I take plain oversized T-shirts and recut them to flatter me. I love the faux peasant top look. It’s not tight, but at the same time, not baggy.
Once upon a time in fashion the manufacturer made tops that were cut with a slight hourglass shape. They were awesome. Was loosely form fitting but gave you a waist cut in a bit. I bought a couple of workout tops made by Sports Illustrated from Pennys. They are cut exactly like this and look great on
Full cut t-shirts were the norm back in the 80’s and 90’s. I still have a thick shirt from a 1996 trip to San Francisco, those 3/$10 tourist shirts and it’s the best quality. The shirts now are thin, sometimes almost see thru and only last a season but this one has lasted for almost 30 years. Go look at some 80’s video’s like Wham! and you’ll see the oversized t-shirt styles we wore with the shoulder seam falling far below the shoulder but the sleeves rolled up a few turns. Those t-shirts we belted.
I’ve always loved pearls and wear them with everything but my favorite is just casual with jeans. I also usually front tuck my shirts and will continue that, it’s more comfortable and helps with my proportions, especially under a jacket or blazer… & wearing a belt with the front tuck also just helps dress up and finish a look. The older I get the more I really don’t care to follow trends. I wear what I love, what feels good and looks good on me. It’s fun to throw a trend in now and then but trying to keep up with “what’s in” is honestly exhausting.
I am with you here! I only like the ones that are fun and help me make new outfits or help me when I’m bored with how I’m currently wearing things ❤️❤️
So thankful for this - the front tuck has always looked terrible to me. It screams “look at my tummy” and to me just accents what I don’t want the focus on.
Absolutely! And your vibe/essence! I look incredibly sloppy with mix and match jewelry, baggy t's, untucked shirts, and sneakers (unless I'm in active wear). Not participating in most of these trends.
Agree! A belted short torso looks like a sack of potatoes even weighing only 110 pounds. The goal for that body type is wearing any style that will lengthen the upper body, such as the front tuck or tops left untucked.
I’m a 5’2” hourglass figure, and a front tuck definitely looks flattering on me. Leaving some shirts hang makes me look shorter, and sometimes tucking it all the way in makes that booty look a lot bigger than need be 😂
I believe the success of these ‘rules’ or style tips have nothing to do with current fashion or trends but rather on one’s particular body shape e.g. more oversized clothes can look great or dreadful on a 5’2” person depending on their particular shape/size/ proportions.
After watching so many of these I have determined that we have to do what we look good feel good and are confident in! Hubby hates the front tuck. Never did it and did me!
I am dancing with glee that the 'tuck' is gone! The boxy t's have always been my thing. Brown and black are classic. I feel like the fashion world is finally catching up with me! 😊Thanks for the uplifting video today! (p.s,. Love the green dress. Pair it with natural brown leather belt and boots)
Thank you 😊. I know people are taking this so personally 😂 for some odd reasons. I think your attitude is very balanced . I watch your videos to get a feel for what’s new , A different perspective. These tips to me are small tweaks that can make a big impact
I am 44 and for the first time in my life i really don't like all of these new "rules" forever we have said to define our waist and dress proportionately. Now it's all wide leg pants and untucked shirts. I am petite and skinny jeans with flats and a nice blouse was my uniform forever and I am struggling with all of these rules. But I also like to be current so the struggle is real
I didn't do wide leg pants when they were fashionable in the 70s and I'm certainly not going to do them now. Straight leg or slim straight leg will be my classic look. Those wide leg pants look bad even on the models unless the fabric is very drapey. In jeans, it's horrendous.
You should look good in straight leg jeans, and they are a classic style. I donated all of my skinny jeans because I am pear shaped and they were never flattering on me even at a size 4. I'm so glad they are out of style.
I still like the skinny jean look on other people. I would wear them myself all the time but they never looked good on me. I’m tall and thin but something just doesn’t look right. Wide leg pants just suit me better. But love the look of straight or skinny jeans in general.
As a small person with an angular frame, straight leg looks wide on me, needless to say slim jeans look best, if I ever want to look trendy I just add a trend that complements my skinnies/slim jeans. I will never wear a trend that doesn’t flatter my body type. Every trend is not going to complement every person but that’s where the magic happens because combine them with what works for you for a more chic look that will never look overly trendy.
Noooooo!!!! I just started doing the front tuck last year, and now it’s going out? 😂 I guess I need to subscribe to your channel and get on board with trends a little sooner. Thank you!
That's how the designers get ya! Do this! Wear this! Do this! Wear this! Then you finally do it/wear it, and they go, what are you doing? That looks so outdated!
It’s funny cuz you say it’s the look to not accentuate your waist but then as you pose wearing the dress unbelted or the top untucked you repeatedly pose in a way that cinches it in with your hands. No matter what we all want to look like we have a waist. These young girls will look back at photos and say why did I just wear giant baggy clothes? When I had that young body!
I love your fashion videos, but honestly what's made the longest lasting difference in my life was the chat about the one-touch rule. It's changed my life!
Yes! You’re so right the younger generation is more concerned with looking cool vs skinny. Like adding all the layers to make the outfit cute vs looking thin. I remember not liking to wear a jacket in the 90’s because I wanted to show off my body . At least during my fit times
I am a 45 year old multi- culti NYer living in California (totally different demographic) but your videos are such a JOY for me🤗 I can’t explain it but I feel like I am with a “friend” when I watch. Your vid’s are practical advice that encourages us to work around and develop our OWN style with tweaks or curated to update. I love that because my body shape and style isn’t that of an influencer in my everyday/ work life as a clinician in a hospital. Thanks for the “comfort” and beautiful visuals Anna💫💖
Fair points, everyone has their own style/opinion. I personally love a front tuck! I like that it’s more formal in the front, casual in the back. I also have a big ass and small waist- so I like that I can show off my waist & cover my big booty. If anyone wants to give me shit for it they can kiss it! 😂
I have a very long, wide torso and average length legs. Leaving any tops (that don’t end at my waist) untucked makes me look like I’m 6” shorter (I’m 5’10) and about 20 lbs heavier. I’m at the age where I’ll style what looks best on my body vs chasing trends. But I appreciate the ideas! Love your videos. 🧡
I’m so glad to hear that wearing white in the fall is in. Because I’ve been doing it for the last couple of weeks! White jeans, maxi white denim skirts and such. I bought a pair of white cowboy boots, so it opens up a host of possibilities with black sweaters, and black Moto jackets and black blazers. Having fun with it!
I’ve been experimenting with my wardrobe lately too. Things have changed a bit. Some things I will keep, no boxy tees for me. I love mixed metals and have worn them for years. I like black and brown, I also like black and navy. The best way to learn is to play in your closet!
I just took advantage of black Friday and added a pair of wide leg winter white corduroy to my wardribe, ordered online so hopefully they fit. I find that the material and cut of white makes a difference to what looks appropriate in winter. I love the new no one rule when it comes to current fashion and sneakers. I can't imagine going back to uncomfortable shoes again! Great video
yes i've been wearing the cream jeans in the winter and it's nice because it's something other than blue jeans or black jeans - goes with a lot and looks cute with boots and sweaters
I love wearing beige/off-white bottoms in the winter. The half tuck has never really worked for me so I'm glad it's on its way out. Long live the dresses and trainers combo! Love your videos, Anna 😊
I love your green dress! Belting it makes it more of a dressy look, unbelted is a column silhouette, which is beautiful and timeless. Look back to the 50’s and 60’s, a shift dress is a column silhouette and popularized by Jacqueline Kennedy
Agreed! And I think when we try to belt things that shouldn't be belted, the garment usually lets us know by bulging in places we don't need bulges in.😆 Not that the green dress did that, but it really was so much better hanging loose!
I love anyone shift dress and Jackie's style. The green dress looks good both ways and depends on the look you are trying to achieve. Thank you for showing both ways ❤
Hi Anna. I'm fairly new to your channel, and am very much enjoy your content. I'm a "young" 65 yr old. I'm petite, 5' about 108. My body has definitely changed. I love the front tuck, but I also like wearing my sweaters loose and comfy. To me, if I feel good in the outfit, then I have a more positive outlook and more confidence. I love a good oversized tee shirt. Especially with a relaxed pair of jeans. I love pearls. Especially large baroque pearls in a choker style. I add them to a sweater and jeans. I never match my jewelry. I love mixing high end pieces with costume jewelry. And mixing metals. Black and brown look fabulous together. Great video. Thanks for sharing!❤

So much of this is what we did in the 90s. I love the oversized, slouchy jeans so much. But, gosh, it sure makes me feel a like the teenaged version of myself.
The green dress looks so much better without a belt. I completely agree… I like belts and half tuck for some outfits but it’s not what every outfit needs. It really think it depends on the look, fabric, the style. Also full tucking is required for some tops and can look better than half tucks.
Mother lived and worked in Washington DC, wore 6-inch heels to work, all day, everyday. She ended up in wheelchair due to her heels. Had to beg her to wear sneakers... couldn’t walk in them, at first. Take care of your feet!
The first time I went to NY in the early 80s, I was very surprised to see these beautifully styled women in the big white clunky sneakers! It didn't take me long to figure out why after walking around the city for a few days.
That green dress is a very high fashion style dress that's not supposed to be belted, it ruins the look. I have a grey cashmere dress, from The Row, and it's exactly like that dress. I tried it with a belt and it didn't look right at all.
I like how you showed that you will still do the tuck when the length is just right. I do the same, apply trends when it suits me and do whatever I want otherwise lol
I worked downtown in San Francisco in the early 90’s. Sneakers were the bomb. Too hard to walk through The City in heals. We would change to them once we hit our office.
I have always loved matching a bright bag and shoes against a black or white outfit. I think that color pop is fun. I always used to say if it made me look old, I don’t want to look young.
I’ve always worn white in the winter . Black sweater , white jeans and black loafers. I have also always worn brown and black together. It’s my favorite combination. I guess I didn’t know it was a faux pas ! Now I’m finally in style . ❤sneakers are finally worn in Europe! Yay . I have noticed the last few years I was there more and more women wearing them with skirts . I do wear Vejas when I’m there . I think they are more versatile. Just my opinion. Love your videos ❤
I really need to know if I am the only one who is so excited where fashion is going… I didn't care for fashion in the 2010s. I had a certain way of dressing when I was young in the 90s and early 2000s and I've always liked classics, but I just love everything right now everything that's happening! I like how things are more classic but yet it's not a big emphasis on being skinny or sexy. Am I the only one who feels like oh finally fashion is reflecting things that I want to buy and where???
I think your green dress looks better unbelted too. Since I got into the late stages of peri-menopause 18months ago I can't tolerate the presence of anything against my mid section so that means no more 1) belts 2) high waisted jeans (which I love), and even high waisted joggers. Unfortunately I also have a long torso so am finding it difficult to look good at the moment.

Thanks for the tip! I will order them too.
Yes I have been Looking into buying clips too or possibly sewing in these areas
Great idea!
Can you link the clips you use? Or do you use just any of the fancy ones..seems like they might show through in the back?
Trend or not the front tuck is what personal stylists use to give a person a waistline to keep from looking frumpy. So I think it kind of depends on the body type. Also you can't always tuck everything in or belt it, it may just be too much fabric.
It may just be TOO (not TO) much fabric.😊
TOO:
Don't eat too much cake bcz you'll get full.
Too much fabric makes jeans bulky.
TO:
Go to the store please.
When you are ready to leave, we will go.
@@Switzer1234 Could have been a typo. Be kind.

Glad that you were able to showcase your excellent grasp of the English grammar. 😊
The only time I won’t is if im pregnant. lol
I agree. If we think it looks flattering what else matters??
This!
Love this outfit idea! 76 here. Perfect outfit for not-too-cold Atlanta winters
How awesome!! I’m 58 with a modern-boho style, a gentleman recently stopped me and said “you are a woman who knows who she is”… it felt so good like my outside matched my inside… sure made my day.
You go boo! ❤
I left France in 1983, and had been already doing the simple white sneaker with absolutely everything. In the 70s, it was the Stan Smiths.
HUGE Stan Smith fan - it's still a great go-to
@jillschaefer1360 I'm now 62. Still my faves! 😁
That’s just so cool, great style!! 😊
It’s actually a misconception that not wearing white after Labor Day was a fashion rule. Not wearing white SHOES was the rule.
Thanks for the clarification 😊
Thank you for the correction.
Why can't we just make our own trends? I am older than you and have seen nothing go out of style, it's always circling around. Be creative and have fun with your looks/outfits/accessories. Enjoy life.
😊
You can. This video is for people who want to be trendy
I came here to say this, and I love you for already saying it. ❤
Times have changed. Its more acceptable depending on where you work plus we have dressier sneakers now made of suede and leather. Still a matter of personal taste and whether you like it or think you can pull it off
i never liked tucking. I have always found it inconvenient and physically uncomfortable. Im glad to see it gone.
Yes! I'm 4'11" and I love wide leg pants. Comfortable too.
Yes, it works if one article of clothing is tight and one loose. It looks sloppy if both are loose and ill-fitting if they're both too tight.
I will wear what I want despite what fashion. Dictates xxx
I'm with ya! 🙋🏻♀️
Then why click on the video???
Just to say that apparently.
I completely agree that the green dress looks best without a belt. It has a beautiful drape and more modern/minimalist without one.
Nicely said
I’ve just lost 60 pounds. I’ve lived my entire past 45 years in baggy clothes, so yeah I’m going to wear more fitted clothes. I don’t care what the style is. I only got so many years left.
That green dress is a show stopper as is,.. no belt needed. Its gorgeous on you
I love your channel for these simple and helpful videos.
Still wearing my white jeans in December with my camel coat. Love wearing white in the winter!
Love this look! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Me too! White just brings happiness in the dead of winter. I am thrilled to wear my white jeans.
Thank you, white & blue, especially light blue are ideal for winter, throw a little silver in there for fun :)
@@meganruchwatercolors7186I bought a beautiful Michael Kors pink winter coat. Everyone compliments it...
I love lite wash denim
Wear whatever you like and what looks good on you. Period!
Exactly. It’s just someone’s opinion, nothing more!
True, but this is a fashion channel. So most people come here to be fashionable.
@@mesamom62 No, really? 🤷♀️😆
@Davian775...she doesn't seem very fashionable.
I think a front tuck is a classic that will never truly be dated, though the one side tucked in is a specific trendy look that will look dated (& like you stroked out & forgot to finish).
Ooo what did I forget to finish? 🤔
@ANNAREID29 lol, not you per se..I mean those who sport the half side tuck. But, to each their own.
Lol😂
I wouldn't call the front tuck a classic in any way. It hasn't even been around long enough for me to get used to seeing it. I always think that somebody got lazy and couldn't be bothered to tuck their shirt in neatly. I assure you, only other women aren't going to be thinking the same thing, and a lot of us women will be, too. To me, it's like saying a faux-hawk haircut is a classic. It's the same vibe, and not at all classic.
A "classic" lol It always looks bad, and always will.
Never cared for the front tuck, so I guess I’m ahead of the game!
I have always thought it looked weird on everyone.
If you walk, you need sneakers on. I always change when I get where I’m going.
❤️❤️❤️
I remember a time when tucking in your shirt or top was dorky like you were uptight lol! I'm in my early 70's.
Who are these people who decide what’s in style anyway.

Fashion designers, fashion magazines and the younger generations.
Just suggestions and tips, take it or leave it
I just mastered the front tuck, lol. Story of my life-- always a day late and dollar short. 😅
But you've done it now so, dammit, do it! 😊
I love ur truthfulness as in “Have u done it yet?” Referring to white jeans
I'm glad black and brown combo is trendy now. I find it reserved but beautiful❤ Thank you for your videos!
It can be very luxe depending on the fabric and textures. I'm in love with chocolate brown and the burgundy red combo at the moment
They are cut exactly like this and look great on
I sometimes alter my casual polo shirts to come in a little at the waist.
I dress like I’m from the 90s or even 60s sometimes. I’m a younger person. Those styles make me happy and I feel suit my body type.
I think black and brown looks fresh. I also wear white jeans all year long.
Men's section. Look at the novelty tees.
What bothers me is my 13-year-old daughter wears oversized tees. Why do I want to dress like a teenager?
@@ANNAREID29 I wear a simple pearl strand with other gold or sterling necklaces. It’s a great look!
So thankful for this - the front tuck has always looked terrible to me. It screams “look at my tummy” and to me just accents what I don’t want the focus on.
lol I know it was like “hey world, this is the exact spot where I carry my weight, everyone check it out!!”
I love this video Anna - your message seems to be: wear what you like, when you like, in any way that you like. Love it!
Don't Look Dated in 2025! The title doesn't fit this message then
All of these tips TOTALLY depend on YOUR body!!
Thank you. It's has everything to do with your body type.
I just want to thank you. Aside from your wonderful style suggestions, thank you for being so down to earth and relatable. I so enjoy your videos:)
I’m a 5’2” hourglass figure, and a front tuck definitely looks flattering on me. Leaving some shirts hang makes me look shorter, and sometimes tucking it all the way in makes that booty look a lot bigger than need be 😂
❤️❤️❤️
I have wide shoulder and a narrow waist/torso, so having some sort of waist definition outlines my shape better
You’re so adorable, classy and fun. I’m 52 and my college girls and their friends often compliment my look these days…thanks to you!
I believe the success of these ‘rules’ or style tips have nothing to do with current fashion or trends but rather on one’s particular body shape e.g. more oversized clothes can look great or dreadful on a 5’2” person depending on their particular shape/size/ proportions.
I always matched my bags to my belt and shoes, now I mix the colors because I thought it looks modern
Girl I live in the deep south and worked at an upscale boutique.. we ALWAYS wear white after labor day!!
Oops. You are doing it wrong.
Yaaaeesss! And pearls go with everything!
No, I don,'t do the front tuck. It looks like a restroom mistake.
After watching so many of these I have determined that we have to do what we look good feel good and are confident in! Hubby hates the front tuck. Never did it and did me!
Yes. I've worn my white jeans and tank under a fall/winter wool blazer this fall/winter. Yay! It's good. I'm into it now.
You're terrific! *Love* your sense of style! Thanks for your videos. They are all so well done. 👍 💕
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 😊. I know people are taking this so personally 😂 for some odd reasons. I think your attitude is very balanced . I watch your videos to get a feel for what’s new , A different perspective. These tips to me are small tweaks that can make a big impact
I love this video. The subtle changes in trends do make a difference
Love the anything goes with jewelery ❤
Yes me too! ❤️❤️
No one can take away my front tuck!!!
I'm with ya! 🙋🏻♀️
Same lol
Lots of women said that about the cold shoulder tops, or the massive padded shoulder blazers, or the crop tops showing thong undies . . . Lol
Noooooo!!!! I just started doing the front tuck last year, and now it’s going out? 😂 I guess I need to subscribe to your channel and get on board with trends a little sooner. Thank you!
It’s not
That's how the designers get ya! Do this! Wear this! Do this! Wear this! Then you finally do it/wear it, and they go, what are you doing? That looks so outdated!
Lose it. It's going the way of the "cold shoulder" tops and dresses.
I never liked the belt over the blazer look. It ruins it.
I love it!!!
Never stopped wearing sneakers with skirts, and I will never stop.
Yahoo! I've always hated the front tuck, I don't think it looks good on anyone, I'm glad to see it gone and hope it never returns.
Same! Why were people tucking in bulky sweaters? It made no sense to me. Team untuck!
Same... never understood its appeal aesthetically.
I hate it, looks sloppy. Like "I don't care enough to tuck in my entire shirt. " Or that you did it by accident after using the toilet.
I think the front tuck emphasized my little tummy "pouch" big time. Glad to see it go!
Great reminders of what works and what doesn't. I wore ecru jeans today with a striped lady jacket. Loved the look. Thanks for your video.
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Ya, i actually like the way she wore it unbelted, better. Maybe a different belt would look better.
Love all the suggestions you made nothing seemed outrageous and you were very gracious in showing us some updates loved all of your ideas and it’s true the way fashion is going in that you get to express your own style and feel confident that you don’t need to be boxed in to , an exact style , I’m 76 and still in love with fashion , thanks for taking the time to give us updates 💞🥰💙
Love the fabric flow of the green dress. I've been trying for this look
So much of this is what we did in the 90s. I love the oversized, slouchy jeans so much. But, gosh, it sure makes me feel a like the teenaged version of myself.
You said " Anything Goes " Now that's Exciting !!! ❤😊
The green dress looks so much better without a belt. I completely agree… I like belts and half tuck for some outfits but it’s not what every outfit needs. It really think it depends on the look, fabric, the style. Also full tucking is required for some tops and can look better than half tucks.
I agree with you regarding all these ideas! Fashion is fun!
Love videos like this!! I’ve noticed these subtle changes in fashion over the years and it’s fun to hear your take on them!
Mother lived and worked in Washington DC, wore 6-inch heels to work, all day, everyday. She ended up in wheelchair due to her heels. Had to beg her to wear sneakers... couldn’t walk in them, at first. Take care of your feet!
These are one of my favourite videos from you!
The first time I went to NY in the early 80s, I was very surprised to see these beautifully styled women in the big white clunky sneakers! It didn't take me long to figure out why after walking around the city for a few days.
OK... just got some off white pants from a cyber sale. I think they'll make all my sweaters pop, but I'm going on trusting you here!!! lol
That green dress is a very high fashion style dress that's not supposed to be belted, it ruins the look. I have a grey cashmere dress, from The Row, and it's exactly like that dress. I tried it with a belt and it didn't look right at all.
Agreed! It’s a particularl style that isn’t meant to show off “curves” - also I can totally see the Row having cute pieces like that!
I like how you showed that you will still do the tuck when the length is just right. I do the same, apply trends when it suits me and do whatever I want otherwise lol
I've always liked the black and brown look. Im here for it!
I love the green dress without the belt too!! Gorgeous!!!
Yes yes and yes!!!
That might be just you.
Yes, I missed full length pants which were absent from stores for a decade and I’m so happy they are back, and I can have warm ankles all winter!
It feels like clothes are getting more functional and realistic, especially the recent modesty movement. These days I want to be covered.
Would love to see a video recapping the biggest trends of 2024 ❤
Great idea! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, and whether they will still be good in 2025!
