I applaud your patience. I could not handle the controls of this game, they felt so thrown together and so far away from conventional games of the same type.
just a note one way you can get more money before automation is you can manually dig deeper and use an intake plus a few straight pipes to drip water into the hole, directly into a pan so you can mine that sweet sweet deep soil faster
I just started playing this game. I was looking for starting tips. I found what works best to start is multiple pans instead of water intake. I would load 6 pans onto the wooden cart backed up to the river. Then, load up the pans with dirt while on the cart, six at a time. I would walk the the edge of the river, looking at the back of the cart and select it. Back up a little and all 6 buckets are filled. Pull forward and next to my dropped shovel is the brush. One swoop to each bucket and 6 nuggets at a time. Is there a faster way to start?
I'm glad i found this guide, because at first i thought it was WAY too slow for a mining game, thought maybe this was meant to be a VR game with all the hands-on gameplay. Glad i can automate things.
Did not realise you could put dirt in the bucket! I ended up making a dirt platform in the river, then putting 4 pans so they would always be full of water, I could quickly fill one after the other, and then brush them all, which really upped my early game production.
One of the biggest problems with Hydroneer is the lack of an in-game tutorial. It's so difficult trying to figure out the game that it's nearly unplayable.
This helped me out so much. I saw this game only for a moment on a DangerouslyFunny video and I said I had to buy it. Well when I got in I had 0 clue what to do. So thank you. Also your voice reminds me of a specific video game character who is very sweet. Your voice is very nice and calm thank you for being so patient and making this video for newbies like me.
I got this game last month and only played for a few days, I got really overwhelmed by the controls and wasn't sure what to do. May try playing again with these tips in mind!
I got 4 pans put them in the water and shoveled dirt to the bank then stood in the water with shovel and brush on the ground and shoveled from the bank .. I made stonks ...
so does the drill have to be lower for the yield to be lower? I thought you could just shovel pay dirt just off the top of bedrock and it would yield more than the surface and place that under the drill which is my case is in the air. Also does putting more dirt underneath do anything for the yield?
Keep the bucket in water it will stay full of water all the time put dirt and just scrub, keep doing that until you feel like selling it....Bonus: use remote play with a bud and both throw dirt in the river, pick back up the dirt and have a bud scrub it.
It's a good tutorial, but I can't even figure out the controls for a SHOVEL. Next tutorial you make on the game, please make a section that goes over the controls better than the game does in the settings menu.
I found this really helpful but I do have one question, is there villager quests or smth like that? My friends done said she thought there were when she played it but she is now second guessing herself. And has managed to confuse me in the processes...
got this game i tried to get water but its not working. plus when I dig dirt is not going in the pail :( this sad .. i tried so many times still not doing the way it suppose to do.
Best start is to use mods and just build with the F7 menu. The only thing good about this game is to build the largest production your system can handle and try to make it work with all the issues and bad design.
What would you be interested in me covering next on Hydroneer? Logic circuits?
Maybe some small tips and tricks to be more efficient, or some important contraptions to make life easier such as the sorter at the end
How about a follow up, the next few steps, fishing, etc.
maybe go over some good storage options for things. Like maybe if you get all the ores and you don't want to use a pan.
maybe the part with the automated sorting. It was like "how do you draw a duck? Get a pen... draw a duck" on that part
Me: loaded up game for the first time, did not see the shovel, spent 10 mins trying to steel stuff from a vendor, turned game off.
Same didn't see the shovel that's why I'm here lol
@@TopHat_One_Piece 😂 it’s actually a pretty good game, I enjoyed my time with it……..once I figured out where the damn shovel was. 😂
i also went here to figure out where the shovel was LOL
The shovel is non the lamp post of where you spawned.
Same 😅

The "no inventory" feature is definitely... unique. 🤔🙄
@@cheddar2648 your inventory is your vehicle.

Didnt realize I could bring water to my hole thanks youre a life saver so tired of running to river with 10 buckets

I knew that you got better ores lower, but I did NOT know that the game had a pickaxe.
The hours I've wasted trying to dig holes with the shovel...
Really enjoying the Hydroneer content. I'd be interested in better understanding the Logic stuff. Keep up the great work!

Maybe for us noobs, an explanation of the various machines, what they are & how to use them would be greatly appreciated,
and WHERE they are. I see the map and then I see people buying things but not explaining where they are on the map making it confusing.

I find it easy to walk into the water with the Pan and then crouch quickly while holding it. it fills it for me

or you can do like Josh from Let's Game It Out and fish
i got enough to buy a fishing rod and that helped a lot in building up starting capital
