Regarding #2, running in a biome also can generate noise, particularly in the dark forest. Pray aggro if you’re not careful. #3 just is silly to me. If you’re loading items into a furnace, kiln, whatever, you’re talking about a second or two of time. It’s barely going to impact anything in your gameplay. If you’re desperate for seconds in the game, I question what you’re doing lol. Personally, I prefer to not aggravate my developing arthritis as a gamer. #6, good advice, however, I would add that you wanna make sure you break your boat down in shallow water. The metal components will sink to the bottom and if it’s too deep? Yeah you won’t get those back.
I sprint most of the time. I just use my eyes and ears to determine when to slow down. With one good stamina food and rested status, the risk is minimal. Plus, I level my Run skill very quickly....which Ii'm sure has saved my ass a couple of times.
I usually never go below 50% stamina and I've seen the click instead of hold but the time difference vs over using a button to me I'd rather just hold to not over use my interact button. (I use the same interact for every game)
Depending on how big your fingers are, you can do a rolling tap. Basically having two fingers alternate pressing the key. Works well for me and doesn't require very fast finger tapping but still results in very fast inputs.
3:00 Lazy way is better for me, specialy if i need fill larger number kiln or smelters. 50 times fast click is ok, but if I have to fill 8 kiln and 6 smelter is lazy way less pain. Next way is make macro in keyboard or mouse.
My biggest mistake is going into the mistlands ;) Sorry, I just don't care for that biome. I've played through it a couple times but that was enough for me.
A mod called Mistbegone returned my joy for that biome, it's actually rather pretty now...... Of course, up to the individual whether they wish to play with mods or not :)
@@AlmightyRawks I have no trouble with mods. I don't have a lot of time for gaming and Valheim is too grindy for me. So I already use a few mods to shorten the grind. I'll check it out thanks. Last time I looked there weren't any good mistlands mods, but that was quite awhile ago.
I already have a fairly big base. What if I make separate smaller bases attached via portals? One for farming, one for ore collecting, smelting and armor making, one for resting? Would that help with lag if they aren't in one spot with the cpu trying to render all that at once?
This is what I do somewhat. I prefer to have a portal hub away from everything as I find that portals cause more lag than a lot of things. I have only 2 portals in my main base, the main one linking to the hub, as well as my emergency/nameless portal right next to my storage and crafting tables so I can dip from a boss fight or resource gathering to quickly repair things or drop off stuff. The only issue with multiple bases is the pain in transporting ores/metals and other non-teleportable objects to and from bases potentially far apart (unless you play with ore teleporting on, but I’ve found I enjoy the strategy and challenge of managing/transporting ores and other non-teleportable objects like Hildir chests without portals. But to each their own!)
The seed on my world is NBrPXbbP86 from the SPAWN island you can walk allllllll the way down to the mistlands and ita very short boat ride to the ashlands after that and if you replace the capital P with a non cap (NBrPXbbp86) you get a world with a meadow biome completely surrounded by a small almost perfect circle mountain just go right and down from spawn skip the black forest island directly right from spawn continue down along the coastline and when it ends continue straight sailing over to a meadows into the mountain and you arrived this also includes a snowy hildir spawn very out of the way so feel free to build
I thought you had to be within a certain distance of your farming animals from them to do their thing? (For instance, the chickens and the laying of eggs). Or am I mistaken?

Id rather just build an over the top harbor for my boats ngl

I love the breeding tip like it's easy to find 1 or 2 star creatures. I have about 60 hours played and I haven't seen any 2 star tameable creatures and the only 1 star boar I tamed died to troll raid
nice! glad it helped
The further you are away from spawn, the higher chance for 2* mobs.
They also spawn more frequently at night
I've had good luck finding 2* boars in meadows that border plains - because these are usually further from spawn

Yeah you won’t get those back.
nice addition with 2 and yeah with 3 its a super minor thing! Agreed on 6, ideally you want to be in shallow water
I sprint most of the time. I just use my eyes and ears to determine when to slow down. With one good stamina food and rested status, the risk is minimal.
Plus, I level my Run skill very quickly....which Ii'm sure has saved my ass a couple of times.
thats fair. I respect it
I usually never go below 50% stamina and I've seen the click instead of hold but the time difference vs over using a button to me I'd rather just hold to not over use my interact button. (I use the same interact for every game)
smart to keep your stamina above 50%. Also, makes sense on placing stuff in kilns, etc. its so marginal
"Its faster to spam click"
No, please don't say that. Stop telling people to get carpal tunnel faster than they already would
you're taking this far too seriously
@SpazzyjonesGaming all I know is my fingers hurt when I play clicky games for too long, and i am barely past 25. Keeping healthy is no joke 🩷
Depending on how big your fingers are, you can do a rolling tap. Basically having two fingers alternate pressing the key. Works well for me and doesn't require very fast finger tapping but still results in very fast inputs.
@@R3_dacted0 good call
3:00 I'll rather save my index finger and E key, tyvm. What's saving a few seconds in a game like Valheim?

How can I level sprint if I don’t use it without caution?
its just about being strategic with its use
Amazing tips thank you for the video spazzy! Again an amazing video❤
glad you liked it golden!
I just posted my first Valheim video ever, if you could let me know what you think about it I would highly appreciate it, any feedback is welcome!
3:00 Lazy way is better for me, specialy if i need fill larger number kiln or smelters. 50 times fast click is ok, but if I have to fill 8 kiln and 6 smelter is lazy way less pain. Next way is make macro in keyboard or mouse.
Fair
My biggest mistake is going into the mistlands ;) Sorry, I just don't care for that biome. I've played through it a couple times but that was enough for me.
thats fair. its many peoples least fav biome
Love the video Spazzy! I disagree with Thing 3 simply because i have bone spurs and need to avoid strenuous clicking.
thanks tauren! ouch, that doesn't sound comfortable at all. Stick with holding it down my friend
I'm playing hardcore with my friend and some of these are a MUST or you will fail. It's brutal
Absolutely. Hardcore is next level difficult
Where did the downwind myth come from or did it get patched?
not sure. as far as I know it was never a thing
I already have a fairly big base. What if I make separate smaller bases attached via portals? One for farming, one for ore collecting, smelting and armor making, one for resting? Would that help with lag if they aren't in one spot with the cpu trying to render all that at once?
Yes exactly! that will work nicely. That is my strategy too exactly
@@SpazzyjonesGaming I will try that then. My game starts out very laggy at my main base.
@@lukesherwin4137 great call. Portal hubs are clutch!
@@joet7136 good luck!
Gotta sprint everywhere to raise sprint skill so you can lose it dying when outta stamina :P
you just gotta be smart as to when to use your stamina and when to conserve it
The first tip...games should just give you a menu showing you full breakdown of resistances/buffs at any given time. So annoying.
that would be awesome
The seed on my world is NBrPXbbP86 from the SPAWN island you can walk allllllll the way down to the mistlands and ita very short boat ride to the ashlands after that and if you replace the capital P with a non cap (NBrPXbbp86) you get a world with a meadow biome completely surrounded by a small almost perfect circle mountain
just go right and down from spawn skip the black forest island directly right from spawn continue down along the coastline and when it ends continue straight sailing over to a meadows into the mountain and you arrived this also includes a snowy hildir spawn very out of the way so feel free to build
amazing! sounds like an excellent seed
Do items in chests count toward an areas item count?
I don't believe so
I thought you had to be within a certain distance of your farming animals from them to do their thing? (For instance, the chickens and the laying of eggs). Or am I mistaken?
They need to not be alerted for taming to progress so you need to give them a bit of space for that. Making babies though thats not the case, you can be nearby and as long as they have food they will eventually produce offspring
Isn't the food also wasted if you go to sleep immediately after they consume before they get a chance to interact with each other?

definitely confusing. I'm not aware of what updates would have changed things like this but I'm quite confident this is our resistance works right now
It doesn't just reduce the initial damage?
@@Franimus no it reduces the damage per tick for the whole duration .Defense is very good against poison damage now. If you have high defense you can give up root mask and benefits from both poison reduction and general damage reduction

2:09 "fire immune x fire resist results in resist" is this a typo or does immunity get cancelled ?
gotta be a mistake on the wiki.
what is that build piece "rolling pins and cutting boards?" (at 6:28)
its an upgrade to the cauldron unlocked in the ashlands
Never noticed that about resistance stacking... or lack there of.
yeah its hard to notice honestly
Why would resistances cancel eachother out if they stacked..?? What kind of logic is that?
They don't stack. That's the point. The higher resistance cancels out the lower
@@SpazzyjonesGaming yes but in the hipothetical context where they would stack as you said, how would they cancel eachother out? Makes no sense..
@@thedobosh Im a bit confused. Taking the scenario where you are using a poison resistance mead (75% poison dmg reduction) and the root mask (25% poison dmg reduction) you don't get 25+75=100% reduction in poison dmg since they DO NOT stack. the 75 overrides the 25 and you get 75% reduction. In another world where they did stack you would get the 100% reduction but thats not how valheim works.
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Ok, I'm not considering what the game offers but what you HYPOTHETICALLY presented. Let me quote you: "Rather than cancelling each other out as you would expect if resistances stacked, 'very resistant' takes priority..etc." I hope you see the flawed logic in that?
