I respect the fact that Joe removed and re-edited the review to correct a factual mistake. Would be nice if TH-cam hadn't taken away annotations, which would have made the correction easier to implement, but I do give props to Joe for the work...but fuck microtransactions in games you have to pay for regardless :)

Got the legendary edition. Loving the game. It has so much content and everything is well done. Only glaring problem with this game is the character color swaps. Holy shit it takes forever to get source crystals and unlock em. Put 6 hours into the game and have only been able to unlock ONE skin. It's ridiculous I really hate that.

+Swagbito Uchiha I don't think we are, I think that the fact that so many of us are here, listening to Joe though he is always "late" in comparison to most youtubers because he writes, and records his own skits (in my opinion a few too many, but still) and in comparison to paid reviewers ie "games journalists" he will always be late because they can and most often will get most games for free before the games has even launched, time enough to have played through, and written a review, when Joe haven't even started the game.
my point is that I think this is and should be the thing he uses as his sword instead of a shield, he should say that the added time allows him to consider more angles than the quick one and done most reviews are, or that spending that extra bit of time actually picking up not just some of the collectibles or in some cases all, he can call out the game makers for making unnecessary fetch bs, just to pad the game out, something most reviewers completely ignore, or just mention as if its something we should accept as is, or how the reviews written before launch have been games where the reviewers played a different game where micro transactions wherent even present, now how can I trust a company that sells me a product and then tries to sell me more shit that specifically is unnecessary to the very thing I just paid money for, but then I find out that the shit I now can buy, that I thought would be "unnecessary" might in the paid for version (unlike the free reviewer version) have incentives to make me hate the game so much that I give more money to skip it, and I'm supposed to trust them to not make a boring game, out of what, the goodness of my heart.
I know I just went on a rant there, but my point still stands.

Great review, Joe. These are the Angry Reviews we all used to heartily chuckle at and enjoy. Toward the end of last year you seemed to be super depressed about life and your upload schedule was off and you skipped multiple AAA titles. I imagine you had a lot of personal issues to deal with that made you sad and affected the rest of your life, but you seem really happy now. Glad to see you getting better man. Gotta give credit where credit is due, and you have 100% improved the quality of your channel from the end of last year to now. Keep up the great reviews, Joe & Otherjoe!

Exactly. It would be weird for them to have 8 Batman characters (now 9 with Red Hood) and miss Wonder Woman's modern main villain. It's still too uneven imo (as Aquaman still has no supporting cast for either game, although it is obvious Black Manta will be DLC)

Yeah it's annoying as hell. I honestly really like both of them equally but WB/DC makes it so hard for me to still like Batman because he is being way overused in Movies, Animated TV shows, Animated Movies, and as a Product. Sure Superman can be overrated as well but he never got another Animated Solo Show reincarnation like Batman. I want to see more characters have a Spotlight like Batman & Superman. Wonder Woman, Static, The Flash & The Titans are good examples to be next big heroes. Luckily WW is now getting the treatment.

Agree with me or not but batman has wider verity of villains, characters, concepts and environments that why you can make tons of story in every direction within this bat-universe and its been proven that most of them will not suck.And the biggest problem of superman is his powers.A lot of time I felt that he could end this fight in one page but no he has to waste his time so that story goes more longer.In the case of batman that can't happen.Batman has to struggle a lot of time to defeat his opponent.He has go on many verity of ways to get his goal.That is the most interesting thing of batman stories.When DC rebooted new 52 a lot of heroes got into trouble on storyline including our Superman.But batman still survived that problem and became one the few good things of new 52 only because of its setting.And batman has one more advantage over superman that he is totally human.And not only batman but I don't know why people always prefer human like heroes better then god like heroes.Just ask everyone who is your favorite Avenger character most of them would reply Ironman.So it does not matter fanboys like Angryjoe dying shouting day and night "Superman is better ,Superman is better".The directors producers writers and developers always choose batman over superman. Loved this review, you can really tell Joe shows a lot of passion with his game reviews and he seems really into discussing them, as well as the progress/evolution games within genres are making.
I am curious though, what does Joe think about Superman saving Batman, not once, but twice in the story mode. The second time was one of the most epic moments in Injustice.
Something that Batman ignores and starts a fight with Superman in the middle of a conversation (and Batman is the hero?), by stabbing him with the gold kryptonite. While Brainiac lay there unconscious. As a Batman fan, I really think he was being very ungrateful and even unforgiving/uncompromising since Superman was being more like his old self (helping and saving Batman, showing concerns towards someone other than himself, Kara). Instead of trying to reason with Superman who was showing signs of his former good self, he starts a fight with the guy who saved his life, then put his life on the line to retrieve cities.
Perhaps this will lead to a sequel, where Batman becomes more control freak and muddles the line between good and bad. And everyone is forced to bring back Superman from the PZ and has to stop the Circle of Trust. After all in this game, Batman had the Big Brother eye thing, similar to the Dark Knight. Who gave him the right to surveillance the innocent?
Batman was suspicious after he finds out Quinn was nearly killed by Wonder Woman. Knowing how much Wonder Woman corrupted him he would've had to make a preemptive strike, otherwise risking annihilation. And knowing what happened in TDK, he would've shut off Brother Eye at some point after he sends Supes to the phantom zone. Even in the fight they both acknowledge how much has been changed and how they can't go back to the way things were, no matter how much they want to.

Great fighting game. Finished the campaign on normal mode and felt like a total badass. Decided to dabble into the multiplayer and got my ass handed to me.

The whole story of Injustice in general is supposed to be one of those "what if" situations that'd never actually happen. If they had done this series in a way that accurately portrayed Superman, he'd figure out that he's gone too far before the Regime is even a thing. Then what?
I understand where you are coming from but in my opinion Superman is a much better villain than he was ever a hero. You can initially understand his motivations, about where he comes from making us sympathetic towards him, then we see his ideals being twisted over a long period of time step by step. He poses an unstoppable threat towards earth and only hold back because of a semblance of morality left in him during the period of time when he was good.
I stand by my statement, Superman is probably the best and the most terrifying kind of villain I've ever seen whom you can be sympathetic towards. Plus during the period of time he is a villain his morality is fleshed out more then it has ever been fleshed out when he was a hero.

I do disagree with what he says about Superman though. I think this alternate timeline has one of the most interesting takes on his character that I've seen in anything connected to DC. Everyone has a breaking point, and if you deal a sufficient psychological blow to them, it could irrevocably change them.
Not to mention, he's not nearly as much of a Gary Stu in this as he usually is in the comics.

I don't think it is a bad thing how superman is treated here. Superman has been the most awesome villain or anti-hero I've ever seen. He is my opinion is an utter bad ass as a villain or anti-hero such as his portrayal in Injustice and Superman: Red Son.

All kidding aside though - at least Netherrealm RESPECTS Superman. I mean, okay, they turned him into Stalin and Hitler's love child - but they did so in a way that makes sense in a sort of weird alternate universe way and they remained true to that characterization. And when he and Batman go into a beatdown - Batman actually has to work for it and Superman is given multiple opportunities to show what a badass he is.
It's not like BVS where Batman get's a hole in his helmet, dents his gloves and then proceeds to kick the shit out of Superman until MERTHER!!!!!!!

So many people don't look into each character enough.
They see Batman and think "he's Batman, he always wins, that makes him boring"
Others see Superman and think "he's overpowered, that makes him boring"
There's more to them than that.
Batman doesn't always win at everything, he's still human and fails alot. But we get to see him suffer and then overcome his suffering. Whether it be in a fight (losing against Bane then eventually winning against him) or personal problems (losing his family, then building a new one)
Superman is overpowered yes, but that's not what his stories are about. If he's fighting someone like Doomsday, Zod or Brainiac, then yeah it would be a story about strength and power. But he frequently fights enemies that are much less powerful than him, and it's not his power that's challenged, it's his morals. For an example, read the rebirth comic where he goes against Deathstroke. Deathstroke is constantly taunting him, and at one point he even threatens to kill Lois, so Superman considers killing him. But it goes against how he was raised and what he was taught.

Thank you Damian, finally someone said it. That's something that's always bothered me about Batman, especially in the recent films. He won't kill, but how many people has he left braindead or paralyzed? How many people have died in the hospital or in a back alley after severe internal bleeding? Beating the everloving shit out of people doesn't just result in broken bones and bruises. Batman is the worst kind of hypocrite.

I came up with a plot for injustice 3
it's been 7 years since the events of injustice 2 and Superman is still in the phantom zone then Tim Drake and the other Teen titans are released from the phantom zone and superboy is killed. Cyborg sees what Superman has done to one of his friends and joins Batman to get revenge on Superman for what he did to his friends. Wonder Woman and Damian are still in prison and still on Supermans side believing the regime is the way to keep the world in order. Secretly Captain Cold, Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow and Bane are opening a portal to bring the Joker, General Zod and Gorilla Grodd from another dimension to aid the society and bring down Batman and his allies. At the same time Darkseid is planning to take over earth and enslave the human race. Batman, Tim and Supergirl are searching for help against Darkseid and his parademons, so they get help from Nightwing, Shazam and Superboy from the same dimension the society got Joker, Zod and Grodd from. As this is happening Wonder Woman, Robin and Black Adam are plotting to get Superman out of the phantom zone to restore the regime, they hear of Darkseids invasion and they see the perfect opportunity to get Superman free.
And Batman figures out what they were doing and releases Superman to get his help, Superman is released from the phantom zone and agrees to help Batman to take on Darkseid as long as he dosent go back into the phantom zone. Cyborg is having trouble not killing Superman because of what he did to Superboy. And the society confront Darkseid and become his warriors and tell Darkseid what Superman has done to Kalibak and have made Darkseid take it personal. And Damian goes to take down Darkseid with his father and Damian is killed by Darkseid and pushes Batman far enough to kill Darkseid by sneaking behind him and stabbing him in the head with his sons sword and Tim comes in and sees what he's done and trys to comfort him and holds a funeral for Damian. Superman trys to get Batman to see that he did the right thing but Supergirl and Tim tell him that what he did was wrong and Superman then is taken down by Batman as he was trying to restore the regime, Batman puts Superman back in the phantom zone after Cyborgs attempts to kill Superman and sends Tim to help Rehabilitate Cyborg and helps him see killing is not the answer. Wonder Woman is sent back to her home land to be punished for what she did with Superman. Batman then grieves because of the loss of his son.
For the things other than the story i think they are going to bring back the gear system and the branching options from this game but is make it so you choose to end it as Batman or Darkseid and have more unique gear pieces and bring back Tag team mode I hope you agree with this Joe

Super Saiyan I expected it would happen but Joe insinuated that with Sub Zero there Captain Cold felt redundant power wise, which is what's a red flag for me. Should be the other way around. Him or Killer Frost or hell Mr. Freeze all those characters should be prioritized before the bonus MK characters, because when they come first well we have situations like with Joe where the interest isn't as high anymore due to repeated "powers" or style.

I think an amazing way to do the third game is to do flashpoint and after Barry resets the timeline to normal have the injustice universe be like the normal one and then just continue the series like a justice league series also it will allow the writers to bring back any character they like no matter who has died in comics
