do NOT take chances with the last brain boss, have at least 3 chars as heavy damage dealers (2 was more than enough for the rest game but remember you have only 4 rounds here) and do NOT forget that the first who striked it gets staggered so do NOT strike it with your warriors or they will lose extraattacks, and of course do not forget to manage your damage type, any physical damage will make it immune to ALL physical damage, blunt slash and pierce
I nearly lost my 160 hour honour game to netherbrain, I literally teared up when I got the killing blow in while my whole team was standing on platforms about to drop 😭
The Crown of Karsus itself gets a new action (before entering the Netherbrain's Psyche), which essentially launches the baby of Magic Missile and Chain Lightning. And since it's considered a projectile, you can reflect it back if you use the ability granted by Viconia's Walking Fortress which allows you to reflect projectiles back to the attacker

Also for some reason they made Myrkul immune to anti-healing effects, in my current run I shot arrows of ilmater at him as always but he simply kept healing regardless.

Is it just me, or does giving literally every minor thing in the game a Legendary Action make Legendary Actions just feel kinda... not special? I mean, sure there's only one Bulette in the game, but it's still just a particularly big animal. Nere is just another slightly higher ranked True Soul, by his example, the following list of characters should all have Legendary Actions; Minthara, Dror Ragzlin, Priestess Gut, Z'rell, Marcus, and Ulder Ravengard. I can really only understand a fewof the bosses having Legendary Actions. Those being the Chosen(Ketheric, Orin, and Gortash), Grym, W'wargaz, Cazador, Ansur, Raphael the Netherbrain, and Sarevok. If Viconia gets Legendary Actions, then so should Jaheira and Minsc.
well, the bulette doesnt actually seem to have a legendary action, so maybe they removed it, but in terms of other characters, the rate in which bosses have legendary actions matches what I imagine a DM would give boss characters a legendary action. Its not meant to make sense from a lore perspective, its just supposed to try and even the playing field against a party who has advantage in the action economy.
Honestly I think these changes are boring. They introduce false difficulty that basically just means you have to front-end all your damage and not let the boss take a single action otherwise it'll deal so much damage you'll wipe or a member of your party will die. So their version of difficulty is... forcing you to optimize the gameplay out of your game? I know it's no good to have fights drag on but you kill bosses so quickly you don't even get to interact with their mechanics or behaviors much, and if you do interact you're basically already dead or close to it. There is the rare instance when these are great for encouraging resistance potions if all the damage is centered on the same type, but often it's several damage types.
@@willyboi1105 it's not quite the same.
