I only felt this way after playing a bunch of times and then doing honour runs. Both my serious honour mode runs ended with a crash bug and then I died to magic missile hell vs the nether brain.
I was already star struck after witnessing that crazy round one, but the moment you opened that pouch and I realized you played Durge for the free use heals, my jaw was on the floor. I commend your commitment.
Damn, I completed an all monk Honour mode run with no gear and was honestly pretty pleased with myself, then you just go and get rid of 3/4 of the party and still absolutely spank Raphael. Thoroughly impressed, I definitely haven't been utilizing the potions on ground mechanic enough! Pretty cool that I can still learn things in this game after 600 hours!

I’ve started to change Shadowhart into a way of shadow monk and not only is she more useful to the party, she feels more lore friendly to her background as a hidden cloister grown shar operative. Monk is fun.

My headcanon is also that Durge is a Monk because being a Bhaalspawn = you are a demigod and no other class represents the demigod better than Monk in BG3. Edit: I also learnt that one of the strongest Bhaalspawn Balthazar(not the fat Necromancer) is a good aligned Monk !

For headwear I highly suggest Helmet of Grit in Cazador Palace in the chest near the cursed body armor if you have a high dex armor of agility in act 3 yuan-ti scale male in act 2 and The Graceful Cloth from lady esther in act one not a lot of good helmets for monk in act 1 and 2 also adamantine shield for anti crit is awesome with monk/fighter not sure what helm we could use in act 2 and 1 maybe the one that give -1 to crit roll ?🤔 you can start fights with half HP to have one more bonus action few enemies survive to damage you could also throw some healing potions beforehand too sry I got carried away 😅
if you want, you can do a lot of side content and hit 12 very early on in act 3. and do most of the last fights at 12. . . several of those are to get your final items, but still. and with how long act 3 is for all of it's content, you can spend a lot of time there. especially since you can finish acts 1 and 2 quite quickly, if you dont' do every side thing.
You can indeed fix that currently with mods. What i did for my current run was like 2x the xp, enemy hp increased by 150% (or higher depending on any other mods that make your character stronger than normal, like custom race, class, gear, ect.) And then a mod that adds new and improves some existing encounters. An example being when you first meet the githyanki near the creche entrance, you WILL be fighting a dragon. Not the one you normally see, but a smaller and less powerful one. Makes that fight even more challenging.
@mythicaledeg before i list these, I should mention that I made my modded game like a few months ago, then came back to the game recently and am currently finishing my playthrough, meaning some of these mods may not have gotten updated to the latest or later version than whatever I'm currently on. You may have to find alternatives. Anyways, these are what I'm using: Tactician plus Quick xp Honour features unlocker (didn't like the inability to save nearly at all in normal honour mode but wanted the other difficulty stuff) Encounters overhaul - additional enemies and encounters Pretty much all of these will have to be personally tweaked to whatever your liking is. And since the general goal is getting act 3 to feel less like "the end", I'd look at some mods that add more gear to the game.

Yes if you are dark urge you can eat the body parts of the dwarf they are cooking at goblin camp without using any actions there so make sure to pick them up if you are playing durge 😅
These are the ones you pick up in goblin camp and only durge can eat the dwarf beefs😂It does not consume bonus action or action or anything else so you can eat all of the dwarf parts without expending anything 😅
The build is 6 monk 4 rogue thief and 2 fighter . + 1 action from haste (speed potion )+1 Action from action surge +1 bonus action from rogue thief subclass +1 bonus action from monk wholeness of body ability and you can eat the dwarf body parts you pick up from the goblin camp in one turn becuase it does not consume action or bonus action or reaction that's available to durge player only and the pyschic vulnerability comes from resonance stone you can find this item at the end of act 2 in the colony where there is head where you can talk to the brain jars hope this helps 🤗
Hello my friend its 6 monk 4 rogue 2 fighter the last level you can invest in monk for evasion for fight like ansur or get another feat with 4 rogue base stats I like to go like this 8 str 16 dex 17 wisdom (when you have Ethel's hair you could also go for 17 dex too) 15 con at level 4 get tavern brawler get +1 con and continue leveling up monk till level 6 you would want to respec at level 9 or 8 for theif bonus action or surge (8 for sugre 9 for theif) you could also start respec to get fighter first for heavy armor proficiency with level 4 rogue you could get alert or + 2 wisdom for more damage Also dont forget resonance stone in mind flayer colony for psychic vulnerability to double your manifestation of mind damage Sorry for long rant hope it helps Will try to make a guide on it as well 🤗

Potion Of flying the only fly that requires anything is the one from storm sorcerer normal flying is like the ilithid flying just consume a potion of flying before the fight 😅 and the door was bugged it was open lol

I evidently made s mistake. It's at 14:52 where I thought you weren't able to throw the heating bottle from the inventory menu (but assume it was lack of a drink option via bonus action) but we're able to throw it from the menu (that's different to console). I'm old and was confused with all the ninety-seven actions maxed level monks seem to get 😅.

@@kylevermillion4472 im not quite sure if you understand that Baldurs gate at its core is far different from games like Elden Ring. the combat in Baldurs gate is wildly different meaning that you cant avoid enemy attacks unless you have very Highy AC and Saving throws. (Which is near impossible on a no gear run like this one). This innate vulnerability leaves no other option than to use things like fly to avoid enemy attacks and not get killed in one turn. games like Elden ring allow the player to not get damaged no matter what build theyre using as long as you can dodge enemy attacks correctly. In Baldurs gate you dont have that option and therefore cant play as you would in a soulsgame. This is a "problem" no matter how you play Baldurs gate but its most notable if youre playing on honour mode and solo, since every enemy will exclusively focus you. To conclude: Comparing baldurs gate gameplay to the gameplay of a soulsgame is a bad comparison at best as the two games wildly differ in the way challenge runs can be played. So next time before you leave a comment with no thought behind it maybe either do some research or just try Solo honour mode for yourself and experience firsthand why things like this are (sadly) necessary.

If you find it lame thats totally fine but you can hardly act like there is another option as there simply isnt. When playing solo honour you will almost always have to use lots of consumables or other items to gain any advantage you can think of. The Game is balanced around a party of four people and not one singular person. Suggesting a "fair" or "non-cheesy" playstyle as you would describe it is delusional as you cannot have a fair fight when the odds are so heavly stacked against you. Additionally this is a no gear no illithid power run meaning there are even more restrictions on top of the solo honour. I can only repeat myself and ask you to try it yourself and then rethink your comment as you will experience what i just described firsthand.

I was lvl 12 after wyrm rock fortress so spend actually 3 as lvl 12 character more or less

Yes if you are dark urge you can eat the body parts of the dwarf they are cooking at goblin camp without using any actions there so make sure to pick them up if you are playing durge 😅

These are the ones you pick up in goblin camp and only durge can eat the dwarf beefs😂It does not consume bonus action or action or anything else so you can eat all of the dwarf parts without expending anything 😅
The build is 6 monk 4 rogue thief and 2 fighter . + 1 action from haste (speed potion )+1 Action from action surge +1 bonus action from rogue thief subclass +1 bonus action from monk wholeness of body ability and you can eat the dwarf body parts you pick up from the goblin camp in one turn becuase it does not consume action or bonus action or reaction that's available to durge player only and the pyschic vulnerability comes from resonance stone you can find this item at the end of act 2 in the colony where there is head where you can talk to the brain jars hope this helps 🤗

Hello my friend its 6 monk 4 rogue 2 fighter the last level you can invest in monk for evasion for fight like ansur or get another feat with 4 rogue base stats I like to go like this 8 str 16 dex 17 wisdom (when you have Ethel's hair you could also go for 17 dex too) 15 con at level 4 get tavern brawler get +1 con
and continue leveling up monk till level 6 you would want to respec at level 9 or 8 for theif bonus action or surge (8 for sugre 9 for theif) you could also start respec to get fighter first for heavy armor proficiency with level 4 rogue you could get alert or + 2 wisdom for more damage Also dont forget resonance stone in mind flayer colony for psychic vulnerability to double your manifestation of mind damage Sorry for long rant hope it helps Will try to make a guide on it as well 🤗

invincible bubble scrolls are your friend, let hope cast them so nobody important has to concentrate on the spell and you have more than enough time to destroy the pillars and then his minions

flying never consumes anything Just the first time you drink potion of flying or cast fly or the ilithid flying ability none cost action/bonus action 🤗

Potion Of flying the only fly that requires anything is the one from storm sorcerer normal flying is like the ilithid flying just consume a potion of flying before the fight 😅 and the door was bugged it was open lol

I evidently made s mistake. It's at 14:52 where I thought you weren't able to throw the heating bottle from the inventory menu (but assume it was lack of a drink option via bonus action) but we're able to throw it from the menu (that's different to console).
I'm old and was confused with all the ninety-seven actions maxed level monks seem to get 😅.

sorry but what cheese did you find in this video? keeping distance from enemies? Well they wouldn't kill us even we if stay beside that idk what other cheese we could possibly do here besides we are completely naked so all the attacks would land on use not that cambions do a lot of damage we could have all our gear and just wipe them in 2 turns Fairly standing there (1 more bonus action and 4 100 damage with bonus actions only around 400 to 650 damage per turn )

@@kylevermillion4472 im not quite sure if you understand that Baldurs gate at its core is far different from games like Elden Ring. the combat in Baldurs gate is wildly different meaning that you cant avoid enemy attacks unless you have very Highy AC and Saving throws. (Which is near impossible on a no gear run like this one). This innate vulnerability leaves no other option than to use things like fly to avoid enemy attacks and not get killed in one turn. games like Elden ring allow the player to not get damaged no matter what build theyre using as long as you can dodge enemy attacks correctly. In Baldurs gate you dont have that option and therefore cant play as you would in a soulsgame. This is a "problem" no matter how you play Baldurs gate but its most notable if youre playing on honour mode and solo, since every enemy will exclusively focus you.
To conclude: Comparing baldurs gate gameplay to the gameplay of a soulsgame is a bad comparison at best as the two games wildly differ in the way challenge runs can be played. So next time before you leave a comment with no thought behind it maybe either do some research or just try Solo honour mode for yourself and experience firsthand why things like this are (sadly) necessary.

@@kylevermillion4472 Well your original question is innately uneducated and senseless as you dont seem to grasp the necessity of this playstyle. If you find it lame thats totally fine but you can hardly act like there is another option as there simply isnt. When playing solo honour you will almost always have to use lots of consumables or other items to gain any advantage you can think of. The Game is balanced around a party of four people and not one singular person. Suggesting a "fair" or "non-cheesy" playstyle as you would describe it is delusional as you cannot have a fair fight when the odds are so heavly stacked against you. Additionally this is a no gear no illithid power run meaning there are even more restrictions on top of the solo honour. I can only repeat myself and ask you to try it yourself and then rethink your comment as you will experience what i just described firsthand.
