We have to remember, that now we can identify these cancers. Back in the day people died of "failure to thrive", being a "weakling", and many other none descript versions of not feeling well. Sometimes being too fit can trigger cancer. Extreme athleticism can trigger cancer as in some olympic athletes.

We have saints who stated that cancer filled the heaven with people who had turned to God. Yes, we see others who "manage" to live long lives, maybe successful ones, but even if they do so for 100 years - which is nothing compared to ETERNITY, unless they are saved by Jesus Christ they will find themselves in that horrible place like the rich man in the New Testament

Doping, steroids, poor diets in the sense that many of them require 4 - 6k calories during training sessions and to get that amount they eat whatever they can get their hands on, for example Kristian Blummenfelt whom have insane VO2max eat nutella frequently during his races (and training), that's awful food, he also drink energy drinks and so forth, that is what we expect from an athlete but not from a person that care about life and healthspan. My niece had a cancer I believe about as rare as yours: angiosarcoma that started in her liver. It metastasized to her lungs . She had pretty intense abdominal pain as well. ER showed a small mass which they determined to be benign. So, she never got treatment and the gut pain kind of resolved. We thought it was her asthma about 10 months later and shocked to find out her lungs were filled with this rare cancer. Even the first lung biopsy missed it. She was only 23 when she passed. I’m sorry you are of the rare ones too!

That was so smart to get to MD Andersen and Sloan Kettering. For most cancers, your best chance of a cure is early detection and immediate treatment at a specialty setting. Do not let a biopsy or diagnostic tests, or treatment before or after surgery be delayed. It happened to someone I love and they lost their life. God bless and thank you for sharing your story so that others may learn from it ... I'll pray for a complete remission.

I was just diagnosed a week ago today with small cell lung cancer. It's malignant and has metastasized to other places, I had no symptoms. Every sign of early symptoms I already had. Chest pains, because I have had 4 heart attacks a long with angina. Back pains from previous injury that has hurt for over 25 yrs, I had a cough not bad really, I smoke off and on for 45 yrs. Got out of breath walking 10 feet, but I had gained a lot of weight in a short period of time. Fatigue some swelling etc.. I happened to have a new primary dr who I had seen only twice. She sent me for CT scan because I had stopped smoking last Oct. If she hadn't sent me who knows how long I would have waited. I start chemo next week with radiation to follow. So thank you for making this video. It's a very numbing thing when you are told you have cancer. God bless you.

Your journey and your openness is inspiring to others. As a cancer survivor your message of positivity and purpose is one that I can relate to. I always saw the glass as half full. There were dark days when my endless rounds of chemo and radiation followed by 4 surgeries would get the best of me. I have a great small support group along with my 2 four legged kids that made all the difference. I wish you all the best and I hope you’re successful in your treatments. Hi Joe, thanks for sharing! I was just diagnosed with neuroendocrine gastrinoma pancreas (PNET). No spread in belly. Having CT chest next week. I pray that is clear. I meet with NET surgical oncology and gastro oncology soon. I was very symptomatic with N/V/D severe dehydration, went to the ER three times and have been hospitalized twice since June 24. All the workup done were negative. No food poisoning, bacteria, viruses or bacteria. Finally a young, very perceptive hospitalist ordered an endoscopy and colonoscopy and MRI of the abdomen. Bingo there on my pancreas hiding was a growth. I immediately got in touch with a gastroenerologist pancreatic specialist and his bx showed this rare cancer. (1-2 ppl per million per year with this disease.) Wow! Should we play the lottery lol!
Prayers and blessings to you. Stick with a recognized cancer center. Thank God, Duke University hospital and cancer center is just up the road from me with NET specialists. I hope I the fortitude to get through this.
    Good luck and God bless!!
