Hello! I am 53 and had a full hysterectomy this past Feb! 3 weeks later I got a call from my Oncology Surgon( I had cancer on my Uterus but she thought she got it all during surgery)she made an appointment with me to come back in asap. She diagnosed me with stage 3B High Grade Carcinoma of the Endometrium which I had never heard of before which is a rare cancer. I have now gone through 2 Chemo treatment with my 3rd one coming up! I love life and plan on living the best I can! My goal now is to be around for my grandkids that I will one day have❤
I insisted on a biopsy when they told me I was “too young” for breast cancer at 35. Surprise! I wasn’t too young. Mine was caught at a very early stage and here I am 30 years later.
I lost my husband, my mother and my best friend within a year. I was a mess, trying to survive grief and shock, with 5 children. I stopped going to the doctor because I figured if they found anything, I couldn't handle it. I felt a heaviness in my pelvis. It fleetingly crossed my mind that it was like something was in there, but pregnancy was not a possibility. I also lost a severe amount of weight and it was like I could feel my organs I was so skinny. When I finally went to the doctor, it was not my organs I was feeling, but 3 huge solid mass tumors. One was 7 inches across, and I am a small woman. Sent directly to the oncologist, I was told to make legal plans for my children if they lose me too, hinting that they were going to. I had surgery, having a full hysterectomy and to the doctors shock, all 3 giant tumors were benign.

When I was 30 years old in 1998 I had a colonoscopy and they found a few polyps but wasn’t cancerous. My second oldest brother got colon cancer and wasn’t diagnosed until late in the stage and he declined any treatment. He passed away in 2020. In 2022 I was diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer. hi - thank you for your story x. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer (high grade) at the age of 52 just before Christmas in 2021 where I had a full hysterectomy. I had radiation treatment and it affected the bones in my pelvis with hairline fractures. My mum also had the same cancer at the same age. I was tested and it was discovered I had Lynch Syndrome, MSH6. I have since had a colonoscopy and had my polyps removed which thankfully they were benign. I am now hoping that my kids do not have this faulty gene.
Hello! First I would like to say you are so strong and beautiful! Thank you for sharing your life story! You are AMAZING and the voice that many need to make AWARENESS ❤❤❤❤ God bless you!! Sending love and prayers
As soon as she said her Mum and Brother were diagnosed with cancer and then she got cancer, the first thing I thought was Lynch Syndrome. Anyone with a lot of family incidence of cancer of the bowel and reproductive organs should get tested for Lynch Syndrome and be followed closely by an oncologist to be proactive and find any cancer occurrences early.
Hello. I’m 56 and just had a hysterectomy/ ooferectomy. I had pre-cancer found in a D&C and we went straight to the h/o surgery. Pathology found Endometrial Carcinoma. My Oncologist & GYN both agreed that taking the steps we did caught it at the “perfect time”. It had just started to enter the muscle lining but had not made it to the half way mark. It was considered 1A and I do not have to do anything other than exams every 6 months. My 20 year old was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer December of '23 after watching a lump in her neck for a year. Pathology found her lump still showed no signs of cancer a year after the first ultrasound. Luckily our ENT said let's be sure. The biopsy returned as cancer and we had her thyroid removed over spring break! She is now a Junior in college and just started wearing necklaces this month! I am so thankful we were both able to overcome our cancers. Thank you for sharing your story. I stumbled upon a story and yours came up next. Hearing your story and reading others comments makes me appreciate our results. I would like to follow you on your journey and I ‘d love to see your furniture work! I’m sorry maybe I didn’t understand,I’m a cancer patient been to 4 cancers. And what I know is when your diagnosed it’s protacal to doing imaging C T’s an MRI and pet to see if there spread or recuuamce an after every 3 or 6 mo for 5 years! Why wasn’t that big growth on pelvic didn’t show up till it was so big! I’m perplexed!!!??
My names Amanda too and live in Seattle AND I flip furniture!! So crazy! I have stage 4 endometriosis and am having my 4th surgery to excise it all and get a hysterectomy. I’ve had polyps but have always wondered about cancer. It’s always in the back of my head. My surgery is this August
My name is also Amanda and I have stage 4 endometriosis and just had cancer removed from my cervix and my tubes removed i almost died after that surgery that was two months ago and I am still having complications and symptoms I had before my surgery have gotten worse , in my head as well something is literally push my right eye outward and I have horrible pains in the right side of my head that won’t go away with Tylenol and such my right eye also twitches now since my surgery very badly I’m in constant pain in my abdominal, my lower back , my bowls , I get short of breath and dizzy spells chest pain memory problems the list goes on the doctor I currently have which is the one who did my surgery that I almost died from is just overlooking most of my symptoms and just wants me to rush and do more surgeries which I found out that a hysterectomy will not keep endometriosis from coming back or it won’t keep the cancer from coming back either they both still can even after a hysterectomy, I’m 30 I have had symptoms now for over a year that has just gotten worse and worse I am still currently fighting to get the care that I need now it effects me horribly from even doing anything really my lymph nodes in my neck under arms and groin are also swollen and sore all the time , I wish I could find good doctors like she did because I have a very strong feeling that it has spread through my body and it’s growing rapidly oh and my doctor also left a 4 in cyst on my ovary that is cancerous and so hard she couldn’t get a biopsy so she just left it in me instead of taking the whole thing out especially after she already took my tubes without my knowledge until I woke up in critical condition, so just be careful just having surgery because once they cut in it , it makes it grow and most doctors don’t care about your well being anymore it’s all about the money and of course they will tell you , you need this because that’s what costs the most money or at least that’s how it is in Alabama
Similar. 2004 was diagnosed with MGUS. (Beginning stage of Multiple Myeloma, which there is only watch & wait) if we did the Bence Jones test it could possibly show borderline Smoldering Myeloma. MGUS is considered a "blood disorder" & Smoldering Myeloma "cancer". Both are "watch & wait".... so we didn't do the test bc at the time 2004 it would be considered a "pre-existing" & could be denied insurance & life insurance. It was still hard to get w/ MGUS bc the chance of progressing - they gave me 5 yrs. ..... it didn't progress until 2022.
Thank you for sharing your story. I really appreciated the ides of the cancer registry. It would really help people to help others to set something up like that.
Ma'am you are so lovely, I wish you all the best, & indeed sometimes we just know when something is wrong & need to let the professionals know we know our own bodies.
My friend is a doctor and she has Mantle cell lymphoma.. she refused to stay in ATL and have chemo.. she decided to go to MD Anderson to the top Mantle Cell specialist in the country to do monoclonal antibodies and immunotherapies.. some as part of a trial.. He told her that chemo is the worst possible thing you can do for Mantle cell.
Why would a doctor make you wait til morning for results? He should have given results that night and talked further the next day if he had the information. That is very controlling and I'm glad now we have access to our results online. Shouldnt be doctor's decision when to let us know.
Immediately post an anesthesia event is not an appropriate time to share significant findings. It’s actually unethical and most patients do not remember what was discussed with them. Right before she disclosed this information in her story she said she was “in and out”…
You do have lucious, beautiful hair!!! I would have struggled too…but it is just hair. Hair is not life. I had gorgeous thick long brunette hair and I went bald within about 14 days! Didn’t love it but I got through it. The hardest part was others reactions…not being recognized. I shaved it completely bald at work surrounded by coworkers. I had cut my hair shorter in stages prior to chemo but nothing really prepares you for the gobs of hair just slipping off.🤢
Thank you for sharing your experience… your amazing and so positive I have breast cancer that has returned I hate cancer much ❤ strength hope …. I agree about just feeling good then your health stops you again ❤❤❤
You’re not the first cancer patient who was upset about losing her hair from chemo. I had the opposite reaction. I had light blond shoulder length loose curly hair. I knew I was going to lose it when I started chemo. But it wasn’t hard at all. One Saturday morning just after it started to fall out, I had my BF shave it all off. It wasn’t going to look nice in a couple of weeks anyway so I just got it over with and bought a collection of wigs. I changed my personality as I changed my hair. It was like an adventure. That probably sounds really weird but losing your hair is only temporary. It all came back and it’s where it was before I lost it. It’s what you tell yourself about it that makes it harder to lose.
Having had endometrial cancer caught early - often these 2 cancers go together especially if you have the MSH6 gene mutation! You can get your genetic test easily with 1 vial of blood or saliva test to see what you have a high % to get and then PREVIVE PREVIVE PREVIVE

Your hair WILL return and will be as good as before. At first mine grew back curly (it’s naturally wavy, not curly). After awhile, it came back to what it had been. Mine wasn’t particularly beautiful. It’s true that some people end up with curly hair forever instead of their naturally straight hair, or vice verse, or even a different color, but it will still be good.
When your hair begins to grow back, it will blow your mind how thick and beautiful it is. I'm so sorry that you're going through this right now. I pray that the Lord will wrap His arms around you, and heal you completely. God bless you and keep you. ❤
@@Ceerads I wish it’s awful and like fox hair … but I know if you look at the bigger picture suppose it’s minor as I’m still here and very grateful 🙏 for that … it may change when I come off my chemo drug … thank you for reply … I hope your doing ok sending ❤️
@@clairebeever3038 Thank you. I understand fully how devastating it can be to lose one’s hair, especially because the hair loss is due to chemo and the cancer that necessitated chemo. I’m not denying how hard it is. But, as you said, we’re still here, and for most of us, hair will grow back (unless constant chemo is needed). I am doing well; hair was dark brown when I had chemo, and it’s now gray, because I was fortunate enough to grow old. I wish the same for you and good health from now on.

I’ve been getting really bad pains in my uterus sometimes goes all the way to my leg for about a year..I’ve had blood work and vag ultrasounds everything comes back normal my gyno tried to tell me I had nothing I told him just order me a ct scan! I do have something this is not normal I know my body 😖 today I had excruciating pain I was crying I couldn’t get up from bed ,my daughter helped me she was pulling me off the bed so I can be able to get up I was facing down bc I couldn’t make any movement , I tried to pee and everything just felt so heavy like if I was about to give birth it was horrible I was holding the pee bc of the pain all over my uterus I finally let it out, the pain was still there for another half hour I couldn’t sit I was just standing there thinking of calling the ambulance.. I have no insurance I really think about it when going in to the er , I hope I can get the ct scan soon 😖
I think at this point the very next thing that you feel that feels "weird" is gonna just be straight to a biopsy and a CT without letting them or yourself put it off for any reason whatsoever for the rest of your life.

Secondly as a retired RN I cannot tell you how much the nurses wanted to tell you the diagnosis when we have to wait for the doctor to give you that information. Thank you again for sharing your story. ❤ I took chemo for my Multiple Sclerosis and it was a blessing for me. Don’t know if I would take it again. Also I had a port for my chemo.
Thank God You are doing better! Prayers for Gods Healing Hands Upon You for
Complete Healing!🙏✝️🙏✝️
I’m so glad that insurance covers this now. I hope it continues. I’m hoping you have huge success. ❤️
Wow she’s really stunning ❤ even without eyebrows and hair she has a radiance to her.
They did surgery and then radiation and I’ve been cancer free for two years now. Prayers to you to hand in there and stay strong. You’ve got this!
Similar story here with family. I had an aggressive form of dcis, had bilateral mast - 15 yrs post now. Hang in there - there are a lot of ups and downs but try to keep a positive attitude and a sense of humor. Hope you have a good support system. Best wishes 😊
May you continue to heal from cancer.
hi - thank you for your story x.

Gosh you are courageous. Patient too. What a war you have been through. Thank you for sharing all this. And you look great with the bob!

What a strong girl you are! I love your dog❤
Funny coincidence lol
Praying for you ❤
@@Godfirst1177 thank you and very sad that ,but keep strong and fitting don’t give up 🙏

Amazing strong lady 😢🙏
You are an amazing person. God bless you in your journey.
It’s odd the insurance company denied standard of care. Not cool.
She is so sweet and a great artist.
Prayers to you beautiful!! 💖🙏

Watching this on Amanda's birthday. Happy birthday! 🎈🎈
Great video! Great art! Great dog and cat! I wish you and your family all the best.
I'm wondering why Claritin worked when you were on Chemo? I've never heard of that treatment before, and it would be good to know!
Maybe antihistamine properties
👏👏👏yeah Female Doctors! 🥰

An insurance underwriter determines if you can have a drug your doctor recommends.
I don’t know how they sleep at night.
I had cut my hair shorter in stages prior to chemo but nothing really prepares you for the gobs of hair just slipping off.🤢
I wonder if anyone has told Amanda how beautiful she is, inside and out?
Thank you for sharing your experience… your amazing and so positive I have breast cancer that has returned I hate cancer much ❤ strength hope …. I agree about just feeling good then your health stops you again ❤❤❤
Bless your heart! ❤
God loves You all. Psalm 86:5 For thou, LORD, art good and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto ALL them that call upon thee.
Senxing you love and prayers Amanda God bless❤🙏
Well done Amanda ❤️

Having had endometrial cancer caught early - often these 2 cancers go together especially if you have the MSH6 gene mutation! You can get your genetic test easily with 1 vial of blood or saliva test to see what you have a high % to get and then PREVIVE PREVIVE PREVIVE

Biggest message.. Always listen to yourself. Push for the thing that you feel in your heart you want. Make sure your Drs listen to you also. Make sure your team is doing all things they can and are out there to be offered. Listen to what they have to say but you need to be Be heard too. Last most importantly, live life in each moment of your days.🙌🏼thankyou for sharing your story and all the steps that lead you thru this up and down cancer diagnosis and treatments and sharing your mental physical well being.🫶🏻🙏🏼
Thanks so much for sharing your story. 😊
We're the same age from the same area and my mom was diagnosed with endometrial cancer at the same time and my brother was diagnosed with adinocarcinoma cancer in 2022 and was dead 8 weeks later. We're twinzies. Oh, and i go on for my colonoscopy tomorrow. I'm super scared.
How did you go? I hope you're OK.
I totally get you not wanting to loose your hair I’m devastated having no hair 😢 it won’t be the same ever again 😢😢😢
@@marisawoods aww thank you for such a lovely reply … really appreciate the kind words.. I hope your doing ok sending all my love ❤️
Color Coded Surgery. Several years ago I watched a doctor give a Ted Talk Dec. 13, 2011 Color-Coded Surgery Dr Quyen Nguyen out of San Diego, CA. I don’t know where she is in her research on Color-Coded Surgery but this is where I would go to ensure all the cancer was removed. The Ted Talk she gave is still up on this platform.
Genetic testing is so important
As someone who didn't take IT, because I knew there was something fishy about IT, I do want to know, if she and her brother took IT!
Happy Birthday!

How are you doing now?
Forgive if this is too intrusive, but when you had your regular yearly, Pap smears, did they follow up with requiring a colpo?
Claritin can cause serious adverse side effects depending on which other meds you are taking.
Always talk to your oncologist first.
My mother was diagnosed with this exact same thing in 2001.
Insurance refused her chemo.
I think at this point the very next thing that you feel that feels "weird" is gonna just be straight to a biopsy and a CT without letting them or yourself put it off for any reason whatsoever for the rest of your life.
You have cancer..but your first worry was your hair, ..bless you and congtulatins on being no disease present

Did any of you have a hysteroscopy before diagnosis, surgery?
How much CLARITN ? one tablet 2?
