Forgive me if I missed it, don't you need some sort of gromit for the holes going through the roof from the solar panel to counter vibration damage? 9:00 Perhaps the cover has them built in, wasn't sure. Great build guys!
Thank you so much 😊 not quite sure we get the question, so sorry if we’ve answered wrong… we haven’t screwed the solar panel down, it’s just glued 😊
@ms No worries at all! I just mean the wires going through the roof underneath the plastic cover, seen at 9:00. As they're currently touching bare metal it seems. Over time, with vibration there is a chance that the coating on the wire could be worn away, causing the metal cable to short when it come into contact with the metal holes in the roof? Probably an unlikely issue but I was advised to put a rubber gromit in any holes drilled through metal with wires going through is all! Take care
You're right I say the wire will cut and short there eventually 😢
@@MemoD2sorry, get you! We didn’t add gromits, we siliconed the edges before popping the wires in 😊

Hola! It was a corrugated plastic that we picked up from Huws Gray. They come in big sheets ✌🏼.

It’s a van, has no seats in the cargo bay so forget about seatbelts.
Radar key (disabled toilet key) access 24/7 to public toilets with warm water for a hand bath. There’s your full bathroom.

If you were to pay someone to build it for you and you provided the materials? It would be costing quite a lot more :).

It most definitely was a WE, I’m not sure why you think otherwise, there’s plenty of work not seen in a TH-cam video, there’s also jobs which we didn’t film, like the design, don’t diminish someone else’s work because you assume I ( Sam) have done it all, because I am in the video for the most part. No thanks
And why not? Cured adhesives are considered safe, it’s the vapour that’s an issue as when it’s set it becomes inert.
Caddy maxis are THE worst van to convert.
P.s from a professional; build the units in the van not out to spec. Easier, quicker and stronger.
