Don't copy/paste files when you want to cut/paste. Drag them to the folder where you want them. (I realize I'm commenting this 7 months after it was posted and you probably already figured this out lol)

Last year I got a MacBook Air M1, I think some functions in the MacOS are VERY stupid ! Further there are the problem that most of the software I use you cannot get an alternative for Mac which are good enough ! So I hope there soon will come Windows/PC Computers with similar hardware as in the M-series Mac computers !

I hear you. There are always going to be some challenges between the two operating systems. Hopefully you find what will be best for you!

Transitioned to Apple ecosystem from windows & android 5 years ago and never going back. Apple ecosystem is impeccable and resale value is awesome. Don’t miss windows corrupt dll files and ad malware and windows Interrupting my workflow with Windows updates horrible. Apple saves me Time. “Time”you can’t buy or get back.

I have the base model, and it screams in After Effects. It also screams in Final Cut and surprisingly even faster in Davinci Resolve. I have used Adobe products since 1992 and I've always loved Photoshop, but in my personal work I'm now using Pixelmator Pro and Affinity Photo. I don't like Premiere, and I haven't found a replacement for After Effects. I've been through several Apple changeovers in processors, and Operating Systems. Through about 4 or those big changes, Adobe dragged their feet on optimization for the Mac, and usually did a crappy job of optimization. This time is no different. If you want the most out of your M1 processors, get away from Adobe, if possible.

That is great feedback Mike. Thanks for sharing that! We have used premiere forever but also use Resolve. Haven't made the switch though.
