Wow I've looked at the bundles on B&H and this time Panasonic isn't playing, they've really come for the market and are intent on catching up with (or trying to kill) Sony. The lenses are being heavily subsidised to get people on board. It's a great camera as well, so it's a winning strategy.

My mirrorless experience started out on the Panasonic GH5. A camera versatile enough that I was able to shoot a feature film with it. I eventually switched to the BMPCC4K. And to this day, I still love working with BRAW. But, as a low budget/indie filmmaker, I really needed reliable autofocus to improve production and post. I eventually moved to Sony. Going from the a6400 to the a6500, then the A7iv and now the FX30. But, like you said, it's good to be able to move around to different brands to open up your choices.
I am now looking at the Panasonic S5iix. I still want to hold onto the FX30 because it really is a fantastic camera for its features and price. Having had experience with Panasonic, I have always loved the skin tones that their cameras provide. And as a filmmaker, the waveform, vectorscope and shutter angle in the S5iix are important features to work with. That being said, there are still some Sony cameras yet to be released in 2023 that I want to look at before doing anything. At this time, the FX30 meets most of my needs. So, I am in no rush to run out and get more cameras. This year has been a crazy year for new camera releases. In fact, quite overwhelming. All the better to step back and assess my desires and needs before taking on more gear.

I've also recently switched my A7iv over to Lumix but just the S5ii for me. The camera is awesome so many great features and the AF to me is solid! Im not someone who soley relies on AF but when its required i can say without a doubt its more than reliable in comparison to Sony.
The colours are alot better also i have to agree, beautiful image straight from the Panasonic Conversion LUT, something i cannot say for Sony.

I was on the S5ii/x band wagon until I learned there's no pdaf in FF 1080 60p. Only if in crop mode. Pretty disappointed about that as I like to film b-roll of people and products at 1080 60p.
Sony leaving cameras behind (no firmware updates to fix lack of animal eye detect in video on A7Siii even though it's there, plus new features in similar cameras) and weird color, and canon having terrible codecs and no full size hdmi turned me off from them.
I keep holding out for a hybrid that will do everything I need it to do, but that still hasn't come. I guess I'll have to pull the trigger on something eventually though. My old GH5 is feeling very limited these days.

If all my Sony camera get stolen now. I would still buy them back today. The main reason is third party lens. That is pretty exclusively for Sony. Tamron 35-150, Tarmon 70-180, Tamron 50-400, Tamron 17-28. I own all those lens. And they are so versatile with great price. I won't be able to find these on any other brand. Even though I find Sony is not as good as other brand in term of giving more features to new cameras and update recently. I still would choose Sony for the reason above. At end of the day, any camera now can produce great image and video. To me lens choice will be the factor mostly.
