Appreciate the reply !
Last year I had my car stolen with a lot of my gear including brand new shotgun microphones with boom poles, Lavs, Deadcat, Blimp, tripods, light stands... etc. and I was devastated because I had not made a dime off most of the equipment as they were an investment for upcoming productions. I can't imagine what it was like for you guys but as an independent filmmaker here in Jamaica it set me back thousands of US dollars. We tracked and recovered the vehicle but they began scrapping and damaging it extensively and the insurance company refused to pay a dime for the equipment that were stolen and only paid less than a quarter of the cost for the damages even though we had fully comprehensive package.
I'm so sorry that you had to go through that! It is no fun at all to deal with a robbery! I hope you are able to get back up and running soon!
Can you please make a video on how you get your audio to be "broadcast standard"
Do you use a meta bones with the 4k ? If it was listed I just missed it . Well done and thorough.
You are right, I did forget to talk about it! I have Metabones Speedboosters on both Pocket 4k's. I prefer having EF Full Frame lenses but don't want to deal with the crop factor
Here is my cheap and dirty tele zoom solution for my Panasonic S5 and S1 Cameras: A Minolta AF 100-200 f/4.5 using an A-Mount to L-Mount adapter from Urth. Total cost of the lens and the adapter is less than $100. The lens is actually pretty well loved by those few people who still shoot Sony A Mount, and is sharper than the legendary Beercan (plus less CA). It would be manual focus only, and the focus ring is tiny and only rotates about half a turn from mfd to infinity, too. Oh, speaking of MFD, it is pretty far (like 6 feet or something stupid like that). But if you just want an inexpensive 100-200mm lens that is "relatively fast" at f/4.5, it is hard to beat.
Thanks for the input! I will take a look at the lens. It isn't one I have heard of before.
@@LarimoreStudios Minolta AF Lenses are cheap and cherrful in general since Sony has abandoned A Mount. But just to be clear, that 100-200mm f/4.5 ISN'T great when adapted to L Mount, since as mentioned, it is only manual focus, and the MF ring is small, undampened, and only rotates like 90-degrees or so. But it is fine in a pinch if you don't really need to be tracking focus on something moving.
Which Pelican case is that? Thanks.
