I got lucky at the Goodwill and found 2 Neewer 10 footers. No carrying case or wheels but they were $24 each and are in brand new condition. The deals are out there!!!
I have a savage and newer c stand. But i hate the grips on both of them. So I bought impact grips with the big twist handle that gives you that extra leverage to tighten down onto the boom pole and to the sea stand.
I bought a Flashpoint ( honestly, because it was black). Second time using it, was lifting a 49” octa… tightened well to support weight and threads stripped. Shipping sort or make it cost-prohibitive to return.
Impact is heavy but they hold up alright. That said, buying matthews, modern/norms, american; basically the industry standard stuff; you'll be set for years and years. But as I'm sure you mentioned, when you gotta save you gotta save.
I have 14 C-Stands, most from different brands. I can't stress what you said enough - there are some cheaper ones on Amazon that are not worth it. I love the impact and of course the matthews ones. The cheaper ones have knuckels that don't work well, don't get tight enough or whatever, and I have a pair of stands that the center column has a bottom .. plug that screws into the bottom. After a few heavy uses the one got a bit stretched out and now that plug came out and won't thread back in. So I will only be buying Impact or Matthews from here on out!

newer and flashpoint often come with rust, there are multiple videos about it on youtube.
so yes i would recommend impact or matthews

I need those 3. 😂
Would like to hear why you don't "love" Avenger C stands. I have over a dozen of them and have never had an issue.
Probably because they couldn't advertise others as good 😂😂
Thank you sure!
You can also get a a Matthew’s with a turtle base.
Good to know
nice review. what about the strobepro big c-stand SE ?
I think all of their stuff is fantastic. They need to get a distribution center in US.
I sue Kupo, these are probably one best on market.
what would you not love about the avenger stands?? they are industry standard for good reasons
Avengers are by far the best. And the most expensive. Avoid Cheap crap
I can’t believe the video starts with the worst dissing ever 🤣🤣🤣 not professional at all 🤣🤣🤣
non name brands....
