Good job finding what was wrong with it.!
You don't have to buy the TPS from Toyota. Buy the Denso TPS because it's the same part as the Toyota, and cost around $60 to $70.

Thank you snippits75 for the info. Tho I did sell my 4Runner this past February. I really wanted to keep it but my stable was getting crowded and I did not want to let it sit. It did go to a good home tho, I sold it to an Army Vet who apparently he and his father had restored a 4Runner the same color and year as mine when he was a kid. The only thing that made me feel good about selling it.

@@crewyou07 Get yourself an extended cab 4x4 next time and you will find any reason not to ever get rid of it. Do you still have the book or anything related to it? I can trade you or buy it if you want to, I would appreciate it a lot!

    I have a problem
My engine starts ok and the timing is correct, no blockage of the exhaust and no problem with the computer and air flow meter but it won’t take any rev once u hit the gas pedal it’s like the injectors are not opening and the gas pressure system is in check

Hello Marvin, I took the time to scrutinize and note the position of my TPS, marked it and the housing brfore I removed it so I did not need to make an adjustment.

So if you are still on here I got a question I have 86 4Runner 22RE was running great drove home from work parked it went out next morning it won't start been messing with it for about a month now and it is cold out here in Central New York and it is my only means of transportation I have been telling everybody if they can point me in the right direction I have no problem buying the part and installing it and if it fixes it and solves it I will send someone $800 cash in a card for helping me fix it like I said it was running I parked it went out to go to work it wouldn't start if I let it sit for a day or two and just go to try and turn it over it'll fire and that's it if I hold it right to the floor it'll kind of want to start but it won't it has a new fuel pump. Fuel filter plugs wires cab rotor supposably it has a new throttle position sensor but I did not put it in but it looks new but it could be bad I have swapped out the computers in it I have checked the fuel pressure going to the intake I am at a loss here and I really need this vehicle any help would be greatly appreciated only thing I can think of is try to mess with the mass airflow sensor or the throttle position sensor I don't know where else to go you would think if it has spark and it has fuel that would run even if it ran crappy but maybe not. I specifically bought this vehicle back in June for me and my son to be able to go and have a little bit of fun with. Hey above the 22re EFI engine but I am almost ready to do an engine swap just because of lack of power and the issue I am having with it because as you know parts are not cheap to just guess and throw at these things and very hard to come by. Thank you for your video it will give me a couple things to check tomorrow for sure. I may even have the old tps. With the boxes of parts I got with this thing. But I guarantee you if it is a throttle position sensor I will be getting a hold of you somehow to make sure you are compensated for my sanity lol

It could be the opening circuit relay. Symptoms of this relay going bad is a no start, a start and stall, or start and stall when engine is warm. The purpose of this relay is to switch power to the fuel pump when the engine is running or being started. Relay can be found at your local auto parts store or even online retailers like rockauto. The relay is located on the passenger side above the computer/ecu. The location of this relay can expose it to water from a leak above .If this doesn't solve the issue, there may be another issue.

My 94 falls on its face over half throttle and only has any power at wide open. New pump, lines, and filter changed nothing...

Hey Justin, The fist place I would start is to retrieve the trouble codes from your computer,

@@crewyou07 its been junkyard motor swapped and hacked up 50 shades of wrong by the previous owner. I can't imagine how many codes it'll throw. I'm afraid the code reader will explode if I plug it in.

You have at least two vacuum lines off just in these videos.
