Thanks man, while this won’t be a monitor I’m keeping since I’ll be doing more monitor videos; This is definitely a gaming monitor I would gladly be happy with 🔥 I’ve been enjoying Diablo on this monitor
Im so excited! I order mine and i got it for £584, i cabt wait! Sold my old monitor for £300 so basically getting this oled moniter for £300. Honestly cabt wait and the prices i got it for!!! Didnt really need a new montior but couldn't say no to the price and its oled
so i have a question because im so confused and new to the new OLED style monitors. i understand they are more clear and have less input lag but people keep saying something about burn in and the monitor will eventually mess up. Now idk if they are just talking to talk or does that actually happen? If so why would people even waste their money on a monitor that will eventually mess up.... im 25 and play a lot of game like diablo as well and am getting new pc parts to be able to play on 1440p without a issue. I like the look of this monitor but how could i prevent burn in to happen on oled? cause is thats the case i just wont buy this product. I mainly use my monitor for gaming btw
I am using a 8-10 year old computer i5-6600k 3.5ghz 16gb ram to a really old monitor that i just keep upgrading over the years when i play Diablo 4 and God of War. Even on the lowest of lowest settings i still lag and stutter so much. I'm about to buy a VENGEANCE i8100 Gaming PC, i9-13900KS, RTX 4090 64GB DDR5-5600 with a oled 27 in xeneon monitor. I can't wait to get my mind blown lol.
I don't think you can. The supplied adapter is made specifically for powering the monitor. The USB-C ports do not accept power delivery going in to the monitor
Did you have your keyboard and mouse plugged into the back of the monitor, so when you plugged in the macbook it automatically detected and can use the same keyboard and mouse?
No the keyboard and mouse are connected via Bluetooth on the mac, and a usb dongle on the PC. The Logitech MX has up to 3 wireless profiles so I can change them with a button
I would like to use this monitor for productivity as well. I checked the LG oled 27 monitor from a friend, and I thought the colors looked a bit dull in the SDR modes while doing productivity work. We're you able to create a nice image for for example your video editing work? I also didn't think it was super easy to get nice colors in Modern Warfare 2. What do you think about the pixel layout for productivity?
I think if you’re used to a 1080P or 1440P monitor then it’s great, but for productivity, a higher resolution is better in my experience. The LG OLED 27 and this XENEON use the same panel as it’s made by LG, so color wise might end up being the same. It’s still a great OLED monitor 🔥
@@FIREWOLFTECH I have the exact same panel but in the 45" version. Colours are anything but dull. Also, in SDR mode, you can adjust the RGB colour intensity as well as the 6-point colour (Cyan, Yellow, etc.) to make colours as dull or vibrant as you'd like. With the monitor set to any of the modes (eg. Gamer 1, Gamer 2, Vivid, etc.) besides sRGB mode, the colours are, in fact, too vibrant in my opinion - rather than dull. I usually reduce the vibrancy especially the red which looks too cartoony/vibrant. I think part of the reason this is happening on many monitors is because they're set to DCI P3 colour space yet 99% of Windows, games, etc. are made for sRGB which means colours will appear too vibrant/fake/cartoony unless the monitor is also set to use sRGB colour. No one seems to talk about this issue in monitor reviews.
I have a question about M1 Mac compatibility, Does M1 Macbook support 240hz at 1440p resolution when connected via USB-C DP alt mode? Also, does it charge the Macbook as well? Thank You!
That’s such a tough decision 😅 I think at 27 inches, the 1440P on OLED monitors provide a decent amount of PPI for me to prefer it over 4K. But when the screen sizes get bigger, 4K is much better to have and if I only had one choice for a monitor on my desk for everything else besides gaming, then 4K Nano IPS is the one I’ll get since they are more refined for everyday tasks. I can’t wait for 4K OLED monitors 😮💨
@@FIREWOLFTECH But in my opinion, 4k 27 is better because all gamers are placed in front of the monitor from a close distance and the ppi is much more enjoyable, but I did not try 32, probably my next monitor will be 32 4k oled, but regarding the low brightness of the oleds and also the texts Bluray, I am very worried, what do you think? Is their brightness a big problem?
I haven’t touched the actual monitor for heat, and if anything, my 4090 generate more heat than anything 😅 EDIT : But thanks for the comment I really appreciate it 🔥
FPS wise on 4K I’ve only tried the C3 and A90K on my 4090 build and they’re not great for that. I still have a lot of monitor videos I’ll be doing so hopefully I’ll have more experience on it

Could you explain what the difference it would make between a panel that has glossy, and one that doesnt? Doesnt glossy make the screen more reflective?
Unless you went with a 42-inch 4K OLED tv like the LG C3 or A90K 😅 I don’t mind the Matte display, it’s not like the matte on IPS panels and it does help with reflection
Yes glossy is more reflective. In general, the reason why monitors have a matte coating is to reduce glare and reflections which is great if you have a lot of sunlight, or lights in your room that would show. The reason why you would want glossy is that they are way more vibrant and look nicer (kind of like your phones display) It’s really a personal preference
I have the xeneon flex now. Some text and graphics look a little blurry and the anti-glare coating probably doesn't help. Maybe the pixels per inch being off at 45 inch. I may go back to the alienware qd oled freesync version cause it has better colors than the gsync version and is firmware upgradeable plus the hdr was fixed with firmware earlier this month. I have looked at the 27 inch corsair but if it's the same as the lg where some people say it looks a bit hazy I will probably pass on that one even though I know the 165hz will bottleneck my 4090.
Yeah the PPI density sucks, its similar to the LG 45 UltraGear I did. I just did a video on the G9 OLED and am reminded how awesome QD OLED is over standard Oled
.the 27 inch versions all use the same panel from lg and the 34 inch ultra wides also use the same panels from samsung, same with the 45 inch, they are all new tech and the first version of it january 2024 version 2 of the new oled panels come out
My guy, congrats on the monitor. I am looking to buy the same model! That Diablo gameplay looks unreal.

Interesting display and interesting featureset.
Can you power the display itself through USBC instead of the supplied adapter?

Ultrawide version of that Wallpaper by any chance?
I checked, I haven’t found an ultra wide version so you’ll have to use different settings to fit
Thanks
Is display glossy or coated?
If glossy I'm getting one❤

How you have 145fps on shipment? I have 200+ on my 3080
I don’t remember the settings I had, I must’ve had DLSS off during this match 😅

motherboard ?
basically it's the LG gaming monitor with a corsair badge.
Yup, they do heavily disclose that partnership lol
@@FIREWOLFTECH so why buy this over the lg?
@Zombie101 because of the burn in warranty. If I'm not mistaken, LG don't offer that

you need to upload in 60fps so we can see some of the smoothness, 30fps just makes it look bad.
